The salted Cod fishcakes were delicious! Can’t wait to go back!More infoNo.23 UppinghamPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Lyddington•4.7

Menu for lunch is fairly tight which is always a good sign. Calamari was fresh, the belly pork pieces in a "Chinese" style sauce was a good way of serving. Pheasant was excellent, as was the Venison suet pudding (though a little overheated making some crust a little hard). Sticky Date pudding was light, very flavourful and the butternut sauce and Ice cream great accompaniments. The Winter Ale was lovely pint. The January 50% off offer meant that as well as being very enjoyable it was exceptional value for money.More infoOld White HartPrice: Moderate• British• Rutland•4.6

- JJulieNorthampton/Northamptonshire •1 review4.0Dined on 17 Jan 2025We love the old pheasant, however tonight it was cold in the pub, uncomfortably so. We asked the barman when the fire was going on and he wasn’t particularly friendly to be frank! I appreciate that he seemed to be working alone, but he wasn’t friendly or engaging with us when we tried to strike up conversation, he was more interested in a long conversation about Newcastle football club with a man sitting at the bar. When the fire was lit he didn’t let us know or engage with us. I am critically ill, and became really cold at the pub which isn’t good for me. I love this pub and have had fantastic service in the past, this was disappointing. Maybe he was just having a bad day, but it spoil the experience. This was my first time out of the house in a long time and it wasn’t the experience I had hoped for.More infoThe Old PheasantPrice: Moderate• Pub• Uppingham•4.4
