Visited the Anchor many times with friends in the past few years. The staff are always welcoming and friendly and the food is always great. Nice to sit out on the terrace overlooking the river. Will definitely return.

Came on a recommendation for the first time to celebrate my siblings belated birthdays. There was a birthday card on the table for them as we arrived! Delightful attentive (but not annoyingly) staff, friendly, genuinely cared about our experience throughout, happy to make any changes as appropriate. Food came promptly, all hot and fresh, delicious flavours. Cannot recommend highly enough. We will definitely be coming again!

We were meeting friends (of 50 years) for lunch. The meet and great was a nice touch, the lounge bar is fabulous. Tastefully decorated without being too ostentatious. The dining room was comfortable and pleasantly quiet. Although there was a large party elsewhere in the hotel it didn’t affect the level of service or the quality of the food, which was most enjoyable. It was an ideal venue for our special get together, and we would highly recommend the Poets House.

We had a great time celebrating my husbands birthday. They accommodated my fussy vegetarian 9 year olds request for pasta with marina sauce. Great food and cocktails. Lovely vibes. And they went all out for celebrating my husbands birthday at dessert time. We did not expect a song, sparklers and a confetti canon!!! 😂 Will definitely be back Thanks Feli for the great service
