Blacklock a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old electricity substation on the site of London"s oldest meat market. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric subterranean chop mecca. I’ve been dining here for several years. The food and the ambiance is always good , however, unfortunately the service is getting worse and worse. With the exception of Abdula (who was fantastic!) the service was very slow and they couldn’t get the basics of placing dishes on the table correctly.

Great atmosphere in a lower ground floor setting, tables although tight juxtaposed so not aware of neighbouring table. Food was really excellent - sharing dish at £27 a head including nice starters, amazing value Couldn't fault it and primitivo wine great value too at bit over 30 pounds
