- JJohnYorkshire •2 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoIt’s taken us a few months to try the food here. Well. Why has it taken us so long ? After our food last night we have asked ourselves that very question. The food was delicious, tasty and the right amount of spice. Great service which was speedy and full of character! We will not be leaving it very long before come back. If you love Thai/ oriental food. It’s a must.More infoThe OptimistPrice: Moderate• British• Northallerton•4.5

- DDebNorfolk/Suffolk •10 reviews5.0Dined on 23 Nov 2024Visiting Ripon for the weekend and researched places to eat and fortunatley found The Old Deanery. Set in lovely historic house that has been decorated with calm colours and a lovely relaxed feel. We arrived and were warmly welcomed and taken to our table. Limited covers in restaurant so we did not feel hemmed in at all and great to have lots of space around us. Started with a cocktail and opted for tasting menu with accompanying wine flight. Exceptional food from the start with great wines that complimented the food. Some amazing tastes and experiences and it was clear that there was a real enthusiasm for the food and drink The Old Deanery provided. Small portions but you need that with a tasting menu and great to be able to enjoy the component flavours of the food down to the micro herbs and dressings Just lovely to go somewhere out of a big city and get such a high standard of food and service. We took over 3 hours to enjoy our fantastic meal and felt cared for all the time with nothing too much effort. Would highly recommend and we will make sure we visit Ripon again so we can return to The Old Deanery.More infoThe Old DeaneryPrice: Very Expensive• British• Ripon•4.7
