Best Restaurants for Afternoon Tea in Hinckley

We have eaten at old and new Cheal’s 6 times in total. The old building was lovely and we always had a positive experience with amazing food. New Cheal’s venue is very impressive, we love Warrens bar but the service last night was slow, and even though the restaurant is bigger we still feel it’s cosy and has a warm feel. We absolutely loved last night tasting menu, the quality of the food was outstanding, however we really did not like the gingerbread soufflé, just not for us, I’m sure some people would love it ! We did have to ask for our Wine which we ordered but was not given to us before we started our meal. Overall we had an amazing experience and highly recommend

Beautiful presentation. The scones were delicious. The clotted cream and jam only brought out more of the delightful flavor of the scones. I have had an opportunity to try multiple different scones from different places and this is my favorite. Highly recommend. The sandwiches were also delicious.

Was a very nice mother’s day treat young children welcomed and thankfully had guten free kids menu and measures in place to avoid cross contamination on gluten free foods.
