The Punch Bowl is a 17th century newly refurbished restaurant and pub located in the heart of rural Essex and the Crouch Valley and South Essex salt marshes. Chef Patron Rob and Front of House Manager Sally run a Two AA Rosette-rated restaurant, offering a nose-to-tail style menu with unpretentious dishes that focus on flavour. Everything is made in house - from bread to mayonnaise, and we use local, seasonal and organic ingredients. Our menu changes daily as the season's best comes in. I wanted a tea that wasn’t too twee and was a bit quirky while still keeping that lovely afternoon tea feel, and this was perfect. The Patisserie is lovely inside, the staff are wonderful and attentive and the food itself was absolutely delicious. We had a lovely afternoon at the Fancy Fox and would highly recommend them.

It is a nice restaurant with a view of Southend airport which currently is very quite (the airport) The staff were very helpful and friendly which was great, the food was good and even with the starter of my partner being slightly over cooked, they removed it from the bill and thanked us for our genuine feedback. Overall i would return to the restaurant and could recommend it.
