Best Seasonal Restaurants in Potrero Hill / Dogpatch

The first time at Zuni Cafe. I’d heard about the restaurant and hadn’t rushed to make a reservation in the last several years but the opportunity of an available reservation on a day we were in The City finally presented itself. Quite frankly, the best meal we’ve had in SF or in many cities for that matter. And we’ve been to a lot of great restaurants in SF. The Caesar salad is the best I’ve had in a very long time. The dressing had hints of anchovies and lemon. The croutons were outstandingly flavorful without cracking your teeth on them. Their famous brick oven chicken was not only flavorful but the bread salad and bitter greens really gave it a holiday meal feeling but on a weeknight. The star of the meal was the baby morels, fresh peas and fiddlehead concoction over lemony polenta. The fresh herbs and greens and even the onions - this dish was a standout. Service was great, drinks were fabulous. Paying the bill felt like it was worth every dollar. We will be back.

We had a great time celebrating our anniversary at Epic steak! The ambience, the food, the service, the overall experience was superb! Even though the restaurant was full but the noise level was not an issue. Me and my husband was still able to have a conversation and an intimate time. Great for date night but also awesome for group dining. The view of the Bay Bridge was just spectacular especially in the evening. The price was typical for SF steakhouse. We definitely recommend Epic steak and we’ll sure be back.

Awesome experience. Wonderful low key date night ambiance at open, seated at the bar. Attentive, balanced service - just the right amount of touch to preserve a more private dining experience. Food was on point. Cocktail program is dialed in.

Elegant and delicious. Impeccable service. Wonderful and unusual mix of flavors from rosemary butter with scrumptious sourdough bread to round, flat hazelnut cantucci dipped in white chocolate. And, very attentive to food allergies.
