Moving forward, it will be known as ASTOR, which now has more tables (they have purposed the adjacent balcony space for dining, thus adding another 15-20 tables. There is also a new snack bar in the Public Theater lobby. It’s all successful and the “new” Astor still has charm, good service, and good food and drink choices. The wait staff is well trained and welcoming. The menu has limited choices (which is smart, since most diners also have theater tickets, this time is a key factor.
