In February 2022, the renowned British-Nigerian artist Yinka Shonibare CBE RA, and project architect India Mahdavi transformed the Gallery with a new installation of artworks and interiors. Shonibare’s artist-conceived vision presented a new sunshine-yellow setting designed by Mahdavi, marking a new culture-defining chapter for sketch in its 20th year. Using applique and embroidery techniques on richly dyed fabrics, Shonibare illuminates the influence of African traditions on European conceptions of our modern-day world.

    Sketch was an amazing experience!! The atmosphere was just amazing!! All of the servers dressed up and they were so nice!! It is pricey so people should prepare for that but it’s incredibly amazing!! Don’t forget to check out the bathrooms!

    The entire team at Inamo – Soho was fantastic from the moment we arrived. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, professional, and made us feel genuinely welcome. The service was smooth, well-paced, and thoughtful throughout. As for the food — it was absolutely delicious! Each dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour. You can tell real care goes into both the preparation and the experience. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!

    Great overall experience. We are not high tea experts, but the food, tea selection, and service were perfect! We found the store to be a great added bonus. So many interesting things! We appreciated the options for regular food, vegetarian, etc. We were each able to have the things we wanted, which is not always the case when you have a group with differing food requirements. We would definitely do this again next time we're in London!
