Good food, nice atmosphere, poor service in that they just weren’t really attentive at all.
Really friendly and kind staff! Food was lovely too
I enjoyed the ambiance and the setting of the restaurant, it was quiet and secluded although it might have been the time of day. We were a little late in our reservation however they were very accommodating.
In terms of service originally we walked in and had to run around the restaurant trying to find someone to let them know of our arrival we could not find anyone on the first and ground floor but after a little wait someone arrived from the back. They seated us down and everything was well, the gentleman that was helping serve us was so pleasant and lovely however the female serving us had a very hostile aura especially towards my partner, he felt very uncomfortable as she kept looking at him throughout with hostility and seriousness and I noticed it too and it was just after he requested very politely whether it may be possible to get a slice of lemon with his drink.
If it was an inconvenience we apologise but it could have been relayed, she kept clanging our plates and although it seemed a good thing that as soon as we would be on our last morsel of the appetisers or main she was at the table ready to take the plates very roughly and clanging them, it got to the point where she gave me a fresh plate for the main but in her hurry she took that away and we had to request the gentleman for my plate or for my cutlery as he was very pleasant and she was quite intimidating.
The food came quickly and was pleasant but the overall experience left us feeling a little uncomfortable and it was supposed to be a birthday dinner.
Overall a very good experience. We had one of the set menus which gave the opportunity to taste a number of dishes. The duck pancakes were particularly good. Service was efficient and friendly and there was a good atmosphere. It's a bit pricey but you are paying for the experience so I suppose it's to be expected
I saw this restaurant in a magazine and put it on my bucket list. So pleased we went and would definitely visit again. The food was delicious, the service friendly, and the venue was gorgeous, Thankyou so much for a lovely afternoon!
The banana fritters on the desert menu are something else.
Had the Set Menu A - aromatic duck was brilliant and we were full even before the main dish came. The setting is extremely good and the food was probably the best Chinese cuisine I had in London.
food is great and arrives in a timely fashion. The staff are nice and attentive to your needs as well.
It was my mother’s birthday. I had called the restaurant earlier and asked them to organise a special dessert at the end. They gave us a table next to the window and organised a special dessert. We ordered starters and mains. Every single dish was cooked to perfection and was very tasty. The food was reasonably priced as well.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to celebrate a special occasion and would definitely come back again. Thanks for the good service and hospitality.
Had an amazing experience here. We were celebrating our anniversary and I can't fault this place at all. The Chinese was the best I have ever eaten.
Huge let down! I’ve been wanting to come here for ages! Not happy especially considering the ‘mayfair’ prices on the menu.
There was poor service, the previous tables food scattered all over the floor around our table and nondescript meat (looked like fish, I think was actually chicken and tasted like pork)!
It’s a shame as I have been looking forward to going here, however I shall not be going back.
Great chinese restaurant in a tradition chinese boat along the canal. Food was great and setting was traditional... noise levels were low apart from our table, apologies!
Lovely atmosphere and delicious food. So much better than I expected and friendly staff.
I was very excited to be dining at Feng Shang Princess but was a little disappointed, we were taken downstairs and shown our table from a far. We made our own way to the table. I had mentioned it was my sons birthday but did not feel the restaurant made any effort, it just felt like another evening out. We were seated not far from a group of 6-9 year olds (approx 6-7 children ) who were very noisy and we could not hear ourselves speak. The food was of good quality and the service was ok.
Best tasting Chinese cuisine I have ever tasted - no nasty after effects. The portions aren't the biggest, but the food is very, very satiating.
Great location felt different and interesting. Food was first class, service very good.
Not cheap but a location like this never was going to be.
I would highly recommend
Nice location. Tasty Chinese and Thai dishes. Prices reflect location.
Everything was amazing! The wine tasted really good as well as the food, good value and the place has a very occassion like vibe.
Great food and wonderful location. We will definitely be back next time in London!
Waitress was appalling and spoke little English. I tried to get her to slow down but she just kept bringing the food, dish after dish with no time to relax between courses. I’ve never eaten so quick In my life. Wasn’t what I expected as it wasn’t busy at all. We were there less then an hour and I didn’t enjoy the experience at all this time, it’s a shame as the food was very nice. I won’t be going back again. First time was good, this time it was rushed and I got the feeling they wanted us in and out too quickly. Spoilt it for me. Asked to be seated downstairs but wasn’t allowed as “it’s not open yet” this despite it being almost empty. A real shame and we felt cheated out of a potentially good experience. I won’t be recommending this place again.
First time experience and I must say it was great! For starters the sesame prawn toast and Malaysian chicken satay was amazing!
For Mains the sweet n sour chicken, chicken fried noodles and lemon chicken were all just made to perfection! Would recommend this place! Oh and not to forget Chicken & Lamb is HALAL! defo coming back here again!
Delightful late lunch to celebrate a birthday. Food was well prepared and worth the extra cost.
If you want to enjoy great Chinese food with a beautiful view and not be rushed through your meal, this is the place for you! We enjoyed cocktails to start, and delicious dishes including hot and sour soup, corn chicken soup for a start. Mains were absolutely delicious including crispy duck, shrimp stir fry in a sweet and hot salace which were outstanding.
This place is well worth the money with reasonable wine prices and great food. Staying on our go to list!
Lovely setting, good service and excellent tasty food that was very well presented
We were drawn to this place by it's romantic location and beautiful exterior. We'd seen some average reviews of the food, so were a bit nervous, but we were absolutely delighted. Every course was tasty, beautifully presented, and the portion size was just right. Service was fantastic (though we were there very early for dinner and had the place almost to ourselves), but friendly, quick and attentive. Can't wait to go back.
I came here for a friends birthday and it was lovely! The service was great as well as the food and the staff were really nice. Would definitely visit again.
Great food and excellent service.Never disappointing a firm favourite.
An enjoyable evening with lovely food. Staff very polite and attentive.
Food was fabulous especially good for my children as two are vegetarian and the mock duck was delicious!
Very nostalgic food like my childhood in the 80's but done really well.
I asked for a special request, the fact that the manager or responsible diner was not aware of it made me feel really disappointed. I was not able to make it perfect for my other half and that was on the restaurant's end.
Good night and stuffed
From being seated to first being served was 30 mins. And that was only drinks. It took a further 20 mins to take our order for food. The atmosphere of the lower floor dining room was perfect for a date however my date wasnt to pleased with the service and feel as though we should have headed to china town. The food was ok at best. My local chinese takeaway is better and that takes 45 mins to arrive and half the price. Drinks are stupidly heavily priced for no apparent reason. half a pint of tiger will set you back nearly £6. Rip off in my eyes. Ill go again for the setting but i believe this is how they have survived for so long. If you want a good chinese head to china town and not camden. Really dissapointed from all angles really
Good food a little expensive but for a special occasion worth it.
A baby chair would have been very convenient, the restaurant however explained that is was not available ahead of lunch
Beautiful food with a lovely view and nice ambience.
I crave it every time I leave!
Amazing service, lovely food and a great selection for vegetarians . Restaurant was beautiful and service couldn’t have been nicer. Great place, would come again.
Except the fact that it was for my girlfriend's birthday and they did absolutely nothing about it even tho I was asked when booked, and mentioned it etc... I was a bit disappointed.
But Food was really good, I would definitely recommend the place.
Great Service and Great good. Had the duck, portion sizes were worth the money.
The food was delicious and presented well.
Good service. Really enjoyed the evening.
