We had the 5 course tasting menu, which included a few extra bonus dishes. The food was rather disappointing. We only liked about 1/2 of the dishes. Many had an unpleasant sour/bitter flavour. The best part by far was the gin and tonic with their house-made gin. It was fantastic. On the plus-side, the atmosphere was art-deco fabulous and the service was very attentive.
We took our 5 month old at Saturday lunchtime and they couldn’t have been more accommodating. Food was delicious and service impeccable.
had an enjoyable lunch by myself but was looked after very well by the staff; as always a great experience
I went there with a friend for dinner. The food was creative and tasty. The service was absolutely amazing. Friendly & very attentive waiting staff. I would definitely go back there.
We went here for my birthday meal and it did not disappoint, wonderful service and beautiful food. We will definitely be going back!
Wine was 🔑
We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and were made to feel very special throughout our dining experience. A personalised greeting card was very thoughtful and my husband was extremely impressed by the waiter producing a ‘normal’ lager from the bar next door! The food was exceptional and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
Excellent food and service. A fantastic restaurant that we will visit again very soon!
Here it is in the most irreducible way I can think of. EPIC!
Quality of service on the decline. Food is still fantastic but waiters are pushy and not always smart
Wonderful experience overall. Warm and friendly staff, delightful food excellent wine.
We celebrated my wife’s birthday last Saturday based on open table and trip adviser reviews.
All was very good indeed.
I have eaten in restaurants in many top London hotels and the service was right up there apart from one minor blip when the sommelier dissapeared (must’ve gone for a comfort break) and my glass wasn’t replenished in a timely fashion.
Slightly small portions - hence overall 4 not 5.
We went for my wife's birthday, and had the short tasting menu, supplemented with a cheese course. From start to finish the staff hit all the right notes, especially the sommelier. Each course was better than the next. A real special occasion treat.
Great service, great food. Will definitely go back again.
Food was excellent, although the wines were quite pricey. Service was attentive.
Absolutely sublime - we have dined at several Michelin star restaurants, indeed one nearby only the day before with a similar OpenTable lunchtime special. That was very nice but Fera blew it away. We chose the 3 course and champagne lunch special and not once did it feel any way inferior to choosing a la carte.
Every single one of the staff was excellent, knowledgeable and friendly. Not over-friendly, nor stuffy, just right. They worked like a well oiled machine - forgive the cliché but it's true.
We only booked late and only when we sat down and were asked about any intolerances were they made aware of some of my wife's, yet within 5 minutes a delightful amuse bouche arrived specially prepared for her.
I loved the little touches and the flavours throughout were excellent. Both starters were top notch - my wife's tomato dish had been prepared especially. Whilst I did wonder where the actual fish was in mine (it was more of a mousse), the whole thing was delicious, with accents of crispy kale, radish and more really bringing it alive.
Mains were just as good - my chicken with celeriac in particular was just perfect.
Again, for dessert, another special course was made for my wife, who doesn't usually get to have one. The only downside being that I didn't get two desserts as usual!
Of course being in Claridge's ain't bad either!
Thanks to all the staff. We'd love to come back soon…
A really special afternoon. Top end restaurant with a very comfortable approach. I never give 5 stars but did here. The service was just perfect.
This is my go too restaurant. FERA is just a hip place in a wonderful hotel. Family special occasion dinning at its best. Unpretentious, you just need to settle in and let the fun begin. Finish with a tour of the kitchen and FERA gin and tonic. I’m in heaven
I have been to many Michelin star restaurants and Fera was the worst. The food was of poor quality and although it was a tasting menu the portions were extremely small. I thought the wine pairing menu was a complete waste of money as the wines were also of poor quality. £485 for 2 x tasting menu's and 2 x wine pairings is robbery. Extremely poor value for money. It would have been reasonable at £220 in total. Never again.
The service was amazing however, couldn't fault it.
A superb meal for a group of 6 friends, lovely ambience and amazing service from knowledgable staff.
We were looking to go out to eat somewhere nice for mine and a friends 40th birthdays and ended up choosing Fera - somewhere I had heard about from the Michelin list
The restaurant itself was very nice, great ambience and decor... the service right from the start was first class - attentive and friendly but not over the top which was great.
The somelier gave some fantastic recommendations on wine - and actually one of the wines from Spain was the real highlight of the evening...
The food overall was very good - not the best I have had for 2 star dining but very good none the less...
The highlights were the hogget and the John Dory both of which were mains and very good mains as well..
Usually my fav parts of the meal are starter and dessert and they were the courses that let this tasting menu down a bit and made it less special...
Overall, really good evening, good restaurant and great service.. I would return but hopefully they will have some more interesting desserts on as I have a very sweet tooth!!
Outstanding meal in a wonderful art deco restaurant.
Beautiful food, excellent service.
The service i had last Saturday was bad, they even forgot the birthday cake until my friend request it, and they charge 8 pounds for the little chocolate birthday cake even without candle on until my friend request the cancel again.. which is really disappointing , when we phoned and made the booking over the call a month ago, I was told by the fera staff that they will do sth special for the birthday occasion with complimentary cake with candle , which actually did not turn out, very disappointing with such expensive and ‘good suppposed’ restaurant like this , will never ever go again. Meanwhile, the starter which called salmon with cucumber with no favor so as the pork belly , I think I can cook better than the chef ...
All perfect. Definitely recommend this beautiful restaurant for a spacial occasion!
This was our first visit to a Michelin starred restaurant, and it was really wonderful. Exquisite food, great attentive and humorous service, and a very reasonable price for lunch - good for us, not having a huge budget. Would love to go back for the tasting menu...when we've saved up for a while!
Cannot fault the food at all. The Fera Signature Snacks were an amazing way to begin our three course Champagne Growers Week menu. Each course was delicious and inventive.
The service throughout was impeccable and staff were all very attentive despite how busy the restaurant seemed. Would definitely recommend!
Always great! Thanks!
As always staff outstanding friendly and knowledgeable
Tasting menu was great with ingredients I havent tried before and all displayed beautifully
Worth the money and experience every time 😊
Quite simply the must stunning food I have ever had in my whole life. Words really can’t describe the food.
Went to celebrate my wife’s birthday.
Had a wonderful experience from when I book online and they contacted me letting me know about extra I could include for the birthday. All the way to the service and food.
Would definitely come here again.
If fact after speaking to someone who was having afternoon tea at Claridges now we want to do that as well.
I suspect many people who review Fera at Claridges are in awe of the beautiful building and it's incredible reputation. The restaurant is lovely to look at - and I'm sure the reputation was once deserved.
Presentation is excellent (lots of flowers / edible greenery - although it did get repetitive as the same decoration was wheeled out for multiple dishes. I am not saying that the food isn't as exceptional as it looks, I mean that it just doesn't taste very good. Your reaction isn't: Delicious! I'm sure it is fresh, etc, but the flavours do not leave any impression. I regularly dine at Michelin star restaurants, and this one has been my only major disappointment. We had the set lunch with snacks. Eaten blindfolded I don't think anyone would be impressed. Very much a case of the Emperor's New Clothes. The rabbit snack was the only positive. Please do not feel unrefined in any way if you do not "get" their food!
On another point - I was paying for my parents and asked for the set lunch menu I'd requested via Opentable, whereupon the waiter loudly told our table that we were welcome to have ANY of the (much more expensive) menus! He was pretty blatant and cheerfully ignored my obvious discomfort. I had the embarrassment of telling my parents that we needed to stick to the set menu. The waiters were also very keen to get us through as much bottled water as possible. When one of them poured my glass of water I said - thank you, that's enough. I didn't take a sip, but in 10 minutes the same waiter is refreshing my untouched drink. To be frank, I found the whole experience incredibly irritating.
great food, great service, fantastic a must do for everyone
No better than my local regular restaurant. My hogget (lamb) was very fatty but well seasoned.
Good as usual
As always, Fera is a delight. The food is exquisitely presented. The lunch (even on a set deal) is expensive but worth it for a celebration.
My only grip would be that when the waiting staff bring you the little 'amuse gueles' and explain what they are, it is difficult to understand and remember! Although it is naff and not very 'Fera', I would quite like little pictures of the dishes in the menu, so that you have some idea about what you are getting.
