Asado is a broad Spanish term not only for a range of barbecue techniques, but also describes the social event of having or attending a barbecue; food is placed on grills and lowered over the embers of special applewood chips where it acquires its distinct smoked taste by absorbing the aromas and sealing in the flavours...

Asado dishes are typically no-nonsense, rustic and honest, yet colourful and fiery - you could say the culinary equivalent of the Argentine Tango! Entertaining family and friends at mealtimes is essentially how Asado dining culture emerged in Argentina and, the life-affirming feelings of togetherness it creates is why it has become so popular around the world.

Nice setting, pleasant waiter , good menu, freshly baked bread.
Despite a quiet saturday lunchtime, i would have liked to see managerial presence. Food was well presented and cooked. Good value , I would return at a busier time to see how it runs, since lots of preparation going on in the kitchen for the evening business

Very disappointed with fiesta this time around. For the price there is a lot of cost cutting going on. When we first use to go, the bread platter was large, u got more olives. Now you get one piece each and few olives. Steak was good but again the sides were smaller. The dessert was smaller and different to what I had expected. Overall I wouldn’t go again

The food was really good.
But the temperature in the restaurant was really low, and many of us were wearing the coat.

Booking arranged on strength of steaks. Underpopulated on the day. Intrusive loud business conversation from adjacent table when many other tables free.

Food was excellent - rack of lamb done exactly medium rare and prawn linguine was an absolutely delicious 'one pot' masterpiece. Staff were great - they really seemed to enjoy working here.

I was looking forward to eating at fiesta del asado as I had read somewhere that it was better than Gaucho's (London) and that is my favourite place for steak. Unfortunately I was let down, the steak was not cooked in the way I had asked, however the food was tasty it did not meet the standards you would expect for the price paid for the meal. They do not have a variety of steak sauces and the chimichurri was really bland. The waiter that we had was not particular helpful and didn't seem as though he had a lot of knowledge about the different steaks, when asked questions about particular cuts he she read from what was on the menu without elaboration.

Me and my partner had the rib eye steak. Best we've ever had! It comes with a very tasty dry rub and side salad. Very tasty, ordered side of spinach and fries but to be honest it didn't really need it. 10/10! We come at 6pm so place was quite empty but was packed when we left at 7:30pm.

Went there on 02/06/15, entered good steakhouse into Google and this came up as the 1st choice so off we went.
Booked the evening via their internet booking form, in arrival they had no knowledge of our booking but wee happy enough to seat both myself and my colleague which was a relief as we had walked a good distance to get there (2.5 miles).
Waitress that we had was obviously new as she forgot to bring our drinks to the table, ordered starters and the arrived within 25 minutes which was quite a wait seeing as there wasn't many other tables on. Food was full of flavour and looked nice, tasted as nice as it looked👍.
Main course ordered, can't remember the name but it was a 16oz steak from 1 muscle, it arrived and looked good and tasted delicious, was a wee bit tough or should I say tougher than I expected for a £26 steak, any how's finished the plate.
Service was bitty throughout the evening with our waitress making some mistakes during our time there.
Over all a nice place with lovely food, but it is expensive £95 for 2 steaks and 2 starters and a couple of soft drinks.

Food was prettty good and a great atmosphere but service wasn't great. Everything came much too fast and it seemed like they were trying to get you out the door as soon as possible. Bit of a shame really.

I took my son and fiance for a Birthday treat and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere was perfect with cosy lighting and a pleasant buzz about the place. We maxed out on meat and had ribs to start followed a 40 ounce T bone to share. Th e steak was amazing....cut really thick and melting in the mouth. You won't need much to go with it!
A lovely evening and great service too. Very happy thank you.

This is our second visit to Fiesta del Asado. The first was for our daughter's 21st, which our son couldn't attend so this time we took them both along for a treat. Has to be the best steak anywhere we have eaten. This is truly an experience not to be missed. Superb service throughout the meal. We have recommended to several friends and will return again.

I enjoyed having dinner here with my partner but the service was too over attentive, the starters come out within seconds and the moment I had put my folk down it was gone, the staff tried really hard and I am greatful for that but it would of been nice to have a sip of my drink inbeween meals. I had ribeye steak for a main and I have to say that it was one of the best steaks I've had for a while. Cooked to perfection, tender and the rub they put on the steak was very tasty.

Enjoyed an evening of Argentinian cuisine at this popular restaurant. Wine list compliments the main menu well and the side dishes are very well constructed,

Unusually in my experience the starters, mains and sweets were all first class in their own right and nothing was compromised. Lively atmosphere with really pleasant staff who knew about the food they were serving.

Main menu of medium rare steak, fried egg, garlic and parsley chips was expertly prepared and cooked to perfection, accompanied by crisp salad. Tip: check if what you are ordering is a small or large portion. In my experience the plates are generous and I was glad I checked the portion sizes first with the really helpful waitress or I could have over-ordered!
Apple and smooth caramel ice cream with lovely pastry sweet was delicious, and special mention must go to the very tasty bread which accompanied oil and balsamic vinegar and the olives stuffed with spicy green chillies simply worked brilliantly.

A very enjoyable evening of dining out.

I had read some of the other reviews on here and approached with an open mind. I am a person who likes good steak and had been waiting to try this place. I was not disappointed. I had the Vacío steak which was excellent - a cut not often available in restaurants in Britain. I also tasted the steaks of my two companions - just for comparison! The bife de chorizo (Sirloin) was very good but best of all was the ojo del bife. I realise that the cuisson of the steaks is a problem for some people. Some people insist on well done steaks. But I think one has to say that these steaks do have their optimum cuisson and the chef judges this perfectly in my view. The surroundings are very pleasant and the waiters were very courteous. This was a lunch time meal and the restaurant was very quiet.

Fantastic Family lunch - certainly one of the best Steak restaurants I have been to. Prices a tad high, but very good service and a great menu in keeping with South American traditions. Very sad that so few people had braved the torrential rain and the ambience at the [very large] restaurant suffered as a result. But we would certainly go back!

Meal and service were both good.
It was just that the restaurant was more or less empty which of course effects the atmosphere of the place. Would have booked a bit later but no tables available.

Saying that next time I feel like a nice piece of steak I will be back.

Definitely a hidden gem and gutted we haven't found this restaurant sooner! It was my birthday celebration and my choice so I was looking for a good steak. I can safely say this is the best steak I have had in the UK let alone Birmingham and that includes Marco Pierre White's. There service is excellent with our waitress knowing and explaining about all of the different cuts. It's not cheap but the quality of the meat is the reason for that.

Superb restaurant, excellent ambiance and knowledgeable staff. Visited here Sunday evening and everything about the experience was excellent. Our party had a variety of steaks, sides and deserts all of which were great. The excellent staff also ensured that a great evening was had. Would recommend this to anyone looking for great food in a relaxed setting.

Despite the fact that the 11oz fillet could not be prepared 'blue' (served on the bone), it was a heavenly moment when the first bite hit the tongue. Right down to fighting the urge to tap out before finishing. Good service in a relaxed atmosphere, possibly a little over priced, but well worth a visit

Wife's food was cold upon serving! Returned it to kitchen to find the same lamb reheated and served back to her! Gordon Ramsey would have blown his top! We came for our 10th wedding anniversary and were very well looked after. Restaurant was well looked after, nice decor and staff well-presented, polite and friendly. Food was cooked beautifully, the sea bass was huge and mysteriously boneless, which my wife loved, and for the first time ever, I was powerless to finish a steak (the 16 oz bife de angosto, if you were wondering), such was the generosity of the portions. To cap it off, they were kind enough to bring us a cake for our celebration, completely unbidden.
Muchas gracias a todos!
