I booked a table weeks in advance through OpenTable as we were staying in Bristol for a wedding, looking forward to an Italian on arrival and browsing the menu it was soon apparent that this wasn't Italian! Chicken and chips, fish and chips , burgers, no pasta, no pizza, no rissoto, it was classed as an English brassiere. Yes I had the right restaurant with the correct name advertised on the window. How disappointing, but ordered food anyway and when it did arrive was very ordinary and very expensive. The staff where helpful and friendly but that didn't make up for how disappointed we had been with the whole experience.

The restaurant, service, and staff were excellent !!! However, we went on a voucher for four of us and having done the same thing before we were looking forward to our meal !! But upon sitting at the table the waitress informed us that there was a separate menu for the Amazon customers !! It was a smaller choice menu and nothing on there was what we were going to order ( having looked at the menu on line) ! For this reason we will not be returning !!!!!

Went to the restaurant for my birthday last Monday. The atmosphere and environment was nice. However, the food was awful. The mushroom pasta of my friend was undercook, the sea bass I ordered was tasteless. Then we told the waitress about the pasta, they reheat the pasta instead of cooking a new one. I know that cooking a new one would take a long time but reheating the pasta would affect the texture of the source. We ordered Tiramisu for dessert, we were kind of expecting something nice but NO!!! The dessert was awful awful!!!!

Surprised to find they had not received my booking through this web site but staff were very accommodating and set up a table by the window for four persons. staff didn't quite understand that we wanted drinks appetizers, then starters mains and deserts and intended to dine for a while rather than just eat and go. They soon began to understand and were very helpful and attentive. The food was good and tasty but lacked some finesse ,Grilled Mediterranean vegetables in olive oil came as plain steamed vegetables.
Really as a restaurant a fairly good one that you would normally find in a fairly good hotel.

After being left with the job of booking a table for 8 i decided to book the filini restaurant. This was mainly due to the fact there was a very well priced set menu and were able to accommodate our large group. The meal itself was superb having to wait no longer than 15 minutes between courses, the service was very good with the waiter and waitress having beaming smiles on their faces and the value was great with the meal working out at £65 per couple with drinks included.

I would definitely recommend the restaurant and look forward to eating there again.

Me and my girlfriend went to Filini in Bristol for the first time recently on a Friday evening. We opted for the 2 courses for £18.95 and I must say it was one of the nicest meals I have had in the Bristol area.

The service was second to none and the place itself is outstanding with gorgeous views over the centre and the river.

Would highly recommend this restaurant for a couple or group or business.

The food and service were good nothing to compain about except on the booking email I'd asked for a window table as on two previous visits I'd sat there in parties of 4. On arrival there was space in the window as there were 3 x 2pax tables so my husband asked if we could sit there if they moved the tables together as we'd been shown to a table away from the view. The person who seated us said no. Our waitress then arrived at the table and asked if all was well and I said no we'd prefer to sit at a table in the window as requested, again we were told no. Now I wouldn't mind if other people had said there throughout our meal but the table space remained empty the WHOLE time we were there!

We were made very welcome. Attention when we were ordering was excellent. The ability to select the fish of the day from an amazing range of fresh fish was special. The food chosen was cooked perfectly. A very pleasant experience.

This restaurant has a great view over the city and the food is really high quality. The staff are friendly but the service is generally slow and not everything on the menu was in stock (but the staff were not aware apon ordering). I'd recommend it but not if you need to rush off to the theatre etc.

We had a delicious meal on Saturday evening with friends. The only thing that marred the evening was the poor service from our waiter. He did not seem to understand English and he did not provide the water asked for at the beginning of the meal and 3 more times during the meal. The water finally arrived immediately following a request to another waiter. Our waiter seemed to dither about and took ages to bring all the food to the table, he did not appear well trained and did not seem to have clue how to speak to customers. All the other staff seemed to be working hard and dealing with diners efficiently and with a smile.

Howevr overall the meal was excellent and we would definitely come again.

We booked on line the night before we wanted to go for a pre-theatre quickish supper, knowing that we may get caught up in Friday night traffic, and therefore might have spent ages trying to find somewhere to accommodate us. They knew who we were and because we had added in the notes section that we were going to the theatre they had the pre-theatre menu (that we did not know they had) ready for us.
The service was excellent, and the food was just right.

Went out for the first nice dinner with my boyfriend. Got all dressed up and looked forward to it. Had an beautiful bottle of sparkling wine, the cheese and meat anti pasti (amazing, perfect to share) and then I had the snapper and he had lasagne. Both were good meals but the snapper was one of the best meals I've have in a long time. Only issue we had was the sun blinding us, but we moved the table and fixed that. Service was fantastic (even if we did have the trainee, he was great) and we'll definitely be back. A special place for us now. Thanks.

We booked a table for 17.45 as we had reserved seats at the Bristol Hippodrome for 19.30. This worked out perfectly as the service was quick and friendly. We both had sea bream which was delicious, the skin being crispy just the way we like it. My wife had ice cream to follow, 3 scoops different flavours (the pistachio being particularly good) and I had a very decent tirimasu. We sat by a window watching the world go by whilst listening to the pianist playing in the foyer downstairs.
We finished in plenty of time to be able to stroll across the road to the theatre.

We needed a restaurant near the hippodrome so that our friend in the cast could join us between the matinee and the evening performances. This restaurant happily handled a 5:30 booking and combined starters with mains to allow for the flexibility of scheduling we needed. The quality of the food was excellent and imaginatively laid out on the plates. Service was charming, friendly, fast and attentive. The restaurant might seem a little impersonal but has a great sunny aspect and view over the former top of the dock, bustling with activity and life. Altogether a good experience at a surprisingly affordable price!

We had high hopes for this place and went for an occasion of a meeting up of very old friends. The waiters were rather unhelpful, spilling the food and wine at times and there was a different waiter for almost every table visit.

The food was very well presented but was definitely so-so with the flavours. The tiramisu was mostly cream and vanilla fingers as we could deduce.

Disappointing. I won't be visiting again.

I chose this restaurant to dine at for my partners birthday and we both thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The choice of food at the restaurant was very good and so was the quality. The wine list had a good selection and at very reasonable prices. All staff were very friendly and attentive. Would definitely return to this restaurant when next in Bristol.
