Very nice decor, staff very friendly but not enough of them as our service was REALLY slow and they forgot to bring us follow up drinks (which we just didn't bother with in the end). Food tasted great and was well presented. A bit pricey and we are used to central London menus. Overall it was nice but we felt a little frustrated as it could have been so much more enjoyable.

We were in Leeds celebrating our Son's Graduation. His girlfriend had also Graduated that same week so we wanted to take them somewhere to celebrate. I chose the Fire Lake as we hadn't been there before and it appeared to have some good reviews. I sent a message with the booking asking if it was possible to do something special celebrating two graduations. I did not receive a response prior to arriving so my husband discreetly mentioned it to the waitress. We had also purchased a Groupon deal 2 courses for 4 people including a glass of wine each. The waitress asked us if we wanted white or red wine, we asked if we could have a couple of glasses of rose instead, she disappeared and came back saying that they only have white or red with this deal! The white wine was almost yellow and did not taste good. The menu was somewhat limited and over priced. £12 for 3 scallops, £7.95 for bread with basil spread, tomatoes and mozzarella (which I assumed would be warm but was just an open sandwich). My Son ordered the crochets which were ok and his girlfriend ordered the potted pig pate which tasted like cinnamon! I was beginning to regret booking this restaurant but thankful for buying a Groupon deal. For main course I ordered rainbow trout with pea & creme fraiche broth, half a gem lettuce and the handcut chips, everyone else ordered chicken or steak with an upgrade to dirty chips with jalapeños. When they arrived with a different waitress, I mentioned that we were missing the portion of handcut chips I had ordered, I was told that the chips only came with the steak and chicken not the fish dishes which wasn't mentioned at the time of ordering. She apologised and promptly brought over the chips which were the best part of the meal. We then had a bottle of prosecco and ordered desserts and still hadn't had a response regarding the 'something special' to mark the occasion. Eventually we were offered a cocktail each which we didn't all have due to being full. Disappointing

We were given a Groupon voucher as a gift for Afternoon Tea for Two.We were not disappointed! The assorted sandwiches were tasty, there were a lovely mix of cakes from mini cheesecakes to brownies and rockie road squares and delicious scones with cream and jam. The service was excellent and we were regularly asked if everything was ok and brought more tea when we ran out.We had a really enjoyable time and would definately visit again.

We are a group of ladies who meet three or four times a year, and this was our second visit to Fire lake grill already in 2017. We had the afternoon tea which was plentiful and varied with delicious sandwiches, cakes and scones and unlimited tea/coffee. The serving staff are efficient and welcoming. A really good value afternoon out. We will certainly come again.

I don't like or read reviews normally I go by word of mouth, and with the amount of choice in Leeds it's difficult to hit on a gem, but that's what this place is, great food, great atmosphere and excellent value for money, we'll be going back again and again

Very disappointing this time the meal was not as expected the chips were very dry the fish was fair my husband had to leave the table for a few seconds after we had eaten the starter while he was away the main meal was served dinner is not served till all are at the table, service not to bad but could have been better staff need more training with people who know the etiquette for table presentation.

Staff were really friendly, attentive and polite. I had booked for afternoon tea after purchasing a groupon voucher and it was very good value for money. Loved the presentation stands - modern and funky so didn't feel "old granny-ish" would defo recommend for atmosphere if wanting a quiet get together on a Saturday afternoon.

Appalling service amazing food! Real shame about the service because I would be back in a heart beat for them muscles and that ribeye steak - I can still taste it now as it stands i wouldent go back. None of the staff seemed that they wanted to be there, we waited 30 minutes for someone to come and take our drinks order, in the end I had to get up and ask someone to come over. Change your staff and keep the chefs and I'd be back in a flash!

I bought a Groupon voucher and did not receive everything that was advertised. It said that it included 2 courses and a bottle of wine for 2 people. All we got was a small glass of white wine each (we were told we could have rose) and were not allowed to have starters instead of desserts (both were the same price). The service was absolutely terrible, the waitresses looked like someone had died.

Portion sizes small. Presentation of food poor.. Everything lacked interest and excitement. 5 of us had meals. All disappointed. Expected much bettter for Radisson Blu!

We celebrated my birthday here and I was given a free cocktail. If you're looking for somewhere lively, loud and bustling to eat then this is not the place for you. If you're looking for somewhere with a chilled and relaxed atmosphere then this is the place for you. There was live music provided by one woman and her guitar...absolutely delightful. The food was to die for. My son and I opted for the simple sirloin and there was nothing simple about it. It was delicious and cooked perfectly. The attention to detail with the appearance of the food was second to none. I cannot wait to go back!

I booked for a group of six ladies who meet two or three times a year, we always look for an easy to reach venue within central Leeds as most travel in by train or bus. This was our first time at the Fire Lake restaurant at the Radisson; we were very impressed by the staff service, most obliging with our group asking for a half-portion to share, and pointing out the afternoon tea deal which was also occurring. We certainly hope to come back again

Enjoyable could do with a slightly better explanation as to what you could eat and drink with the voucher we had been given
we were only given 1 glass of white wine for the whole meal and as I don't drink wine had to purchase a beer.

The waiting staff was tremdous and assisted my every need for my akward dietry requirments..
It was a beautiful evening and we were never left waiting for anything..
My only critasism is that because it was valentines day there were only the valentine menu available which was a bit pricey..i would have loved to have had more menu options.
All in all i do rate it high and woukd deffunatly come back to check out the bigger menu.

Amazing food! Fantastic cocktails! What made the experience complete was the 'cant do enough for you' attitude of the staff and manager. They were lovely, all of them seemed like they were happy to be there unlike other places we have been. The food is good value for money considering it is quite high end and presented amazingly. Could not recommend this place highly enough!

We visited this restaurant mid week, and it was fairly quiet with only a handful of tables occupied, because we were using our groupon voucher we were not able to have a starter instead of a dessert which is okay, however the waiter was kind enough to give my wife a fillet steak instead of Rib-eye for no extra cost, the food did take a while to arrive and we both commented on the chef's 'laid back' style always chatting to one another ( rather than getting on with the cooking! ) I have to say we were not disappointed with the steak, mine was very good, very tasty, and i had the rich gravy as opposed to my wife who had the pepper sauce, because the chips had been stood a while on the serving area we thought we would have to send them back because they were cold, but..... they were hot, crispy, and very tasty.

However.... when it came to ordering the dessert we were not impressed, we both ordered the plum crumble with spiced ice-cream, when the crumble came it was oats with a bit of plum and a scoop of ice-cream, I could not eat mine because it's something I would have for breakfast with museli! I told the waiter about this and he said that the menu describes the crumble as rolled oats not as a traditional crumble topping which is what we were both expecting, he went and got a copy of the menu and... it never described the crumble as oats! he apologised and asked if i wanted another choice of dessert I opted for the panacota with crunchy honeycomb, wasn't very nice at all, the panacota was very dry and not very creamy and I couldn't eat the honeycomb crunch i just stuck to my teeth.

All in all, 1 very good main meal and 1 not so nice dessert!

Service was quite slow, especially given how quiet the venue was. The food was average but the venue's redeeming feature is that it is aesthetically-pleasing a spacious and meant that we did not feel cramped and were able to converse freely, without being disturbed by parties on other tables. Due to its location I would recommend it for a business lunch - although the focus when we attended seemed to be on Groupon-issued Afternoon Teas and people participating in those appeared to get served more quickly and staff were more attentive. We were unable to attract the attention of any staff member in our attempts to pay. It took so long that my colleague had to leave and I had to walk to the entrance of the restaurant to ask to pay - only to be directed, without apology, to a till hidden away around a corner, next to the kitchen. Customer service = distinctly average. Food = average. Would I recommend to other colleagues? I'd mention this establishment, along with a number of other venues in the vicinity but this one does not warrant a special recommendation, in my opinion (having now dined here 4 times).

My husband and I received a wowcher as a birthday gift to the value of £71 which dentitled us to a main meal, desert and glass of house wine for two.
We arrived in good time for our booking and sat in the stunning bar area which was quite full, mainly of business type people, no family groups or children.
We both ordered a steak for our main which came with fries and baby (tinned or so they tasted) tomatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly, but to be honest, lacked flavour. The best on the plate was the fries, crispy and fluffy, cab still taste them now!
We both had desert. I had a baked Alaska, which was lit table side. Very effective but the liquor used was very string and spoiled the taste plus the sponge base was still frozen solid so not do good. My husband had a fruit crumble and ice cream which he said made up for the lack lustre steak!!
So basically we were pretty unimpressed with the meal and have eaten far better at our local Wetherspoons and for a third if the price. This being said, the surroundings are beautiful, the ambience is elegant and suave and all if the waiting staff were brilliant, second to none. They were by your side when needed yet without hovering.
Would we go again, no. But that's because for the price we personally think you can get better food. But, service wise, it's worth every penny.

Restaurant meal was freshly prepared and tasty but a little greasy (fish and chips). Restaurant service was good - friendly and helpful. However, lower rating is a reflection of the service provided by the bar staff prior to our restaurant meal. Waited 35 minutes for 2 teas despite enquiring after 20 mins and watching another table get served despite ordering after us. Bar staff lacked customer service skills- no apology offered for delay. Bar lounge area was unkempt - dirty tables and glasses/cups etc from previous customers not cleared away. Hotel was full due to concert at the Arena but only 2 staff covering the bar lounge area.

Booked a meal with my partner for our anniversary , service excellent , the waiter explained the menu and cooking methods fully . Had booked wine with the meal , and had to prompt them but we were served an additional drink. Nothing was too much trouble , waiting staff very attentive. Had the Ribeye steak which was delicious as was the rum fired baked alaska - the only complaint being the chips served with the meal were overcooked but edible. Would recommend , and will definitely go again.
