While the food was lovely, it’s still pricey..
My wife and I come here about twice a month and it’s always perfect. Has a great dinner menu with a few seasonal rotations. Food is amazing.
Delicious food - our first time there! Paper disposable menus and tables seem spaced out pretty well! Would definitely recommend
Jazz brunch on Sunday is a lovely experience! Food is always good and the service is consistently top notch.
We had an excellent meal here. There were ample gluten-free options (essential for me) and even a few gluten-free desserts. The server and bartender were able to answer our questions about possible cross-contamination. Most importantly, though, the food was great.
Frederick Restaurant Week special menu. Everything was delicious!!
We were very pleased with our experience at Firestone’s! Food & drinks were delicious, service was good and liked the atmosphere. We will visit again!
Our experience during Restaurant Week at Firestone's was good. The braised shorts ribs and risotto were very good and we had wonderful seats by the windows.
The food is amazing. Noise level is overwhelming because it is a small venue
We really enjoyed over looking downtown Frederick while we ate. We had grilled salmon as one of the choices for restaurant week. The food was delicious and reasonably priced for the portion sizes during restaurant week. Service was friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend to everyone looking for a date night dinner.
Great food, attentive service, engaging menu options.
Enjoyed the lobster/shrimp roll but didn’t think the roll was anything special
The side salad was just onion and lettuce- could use some color and maybe dressing on the side
We had a great table
My husband and I dined here for our anniversary and the food and the service was exceptional. It wasn’t as romantic as I had imagined it to be, but the dinner and sitting in the upper floor window was in itself was a quaint little surprise. We will definitely be coming back here, our experience was impeccable.
The food and service is always great here.
Went pwith girlfriends during Frederick restaurant week. Appetizer, entree and dessert for $35! It was fabulous. Our server Kristopher K. was an absolute gem. Professional and engaging. He truly is an asset to the company.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in downtown Frederick. It always has amazing food and service. Dinner during restaurant week was great. Only 4 out of 5 for food because they under seasoned the meat. Adding salt after just doesn’t taste the same as when properly seasoned while cooking. Soup was a bland as well. Still my favorite place, and will continue to go for meals.
Everything was great as always. Service and food is always prompt but not rushed. Great outing.
My wife and I had a top notch experience at this restaurant. The food was excellent. Our filets were both cooked to our requested temperatures. The presentation was exquisite. Service was also top drawer. There were several helpers who were attentive to refilling water glasses, removing empty plates, and handling our every request. We highly recommend this restaurant for a fine dining experience.
There was one small negative to this restaurant. When it gets busy and the bar area fills up, it can get fairly loud. However, because we ate upstairs, it did not negatively affect our particular dining experience. If noise bothers you, ask to be seated upstairs for dining during the busy times.
Great food and awesome service
We arrived early so we were seated in the bar. Our waiter was prompt with our drinks and very polite. When our table was ready we were greeted by a friendly waitress who checked in on us frequently to make sure we didn’t need anything. Overall we would recommend this place
Seated on the upper level at a very nice table , service was professionally attentive without being intrusive . The food stole the show started with oysters that were some of best I ever had followed by a Lamb shank that was fall off the bone tender and the steaks were cooked as ordered. .
loved it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Little noisy from the bar below, but that can be hit or miss
Our meal was fantastic! The food was thoughtful/creative and well balanced in flavors.
Besides excellent food, they had some nice touches such as a complimentary bisque to start, and the palate cleanser between the appetizers and the main course.
The ambiance is relaxing, warm, and inviting. The tin ceiling, while low in the upper balcony, adds architectural interest and a feeling of age to the building.
It was actually quieter in the building than I expected, with the dining area full as well as the bar. The conversations created a nice hum in the background without making us have to raise our voices to be heard at our table.
The wait staff was pleasant and attentive. The various courses came out very quickly.
The main dining area is upstairs, so plan ahead if you have mobility issues.
The food was outstanding with great menu choices. Great place to for dinner, date or business. Our waiter was spot on throughout the meal. We will be going back again soon!
We have been to Firestone's previously several times and always had a great experience. This time we had another couple join us and it was their first time there. We all enjoyed our meal at Firestone's and will be back again!
Still my favorite restaurant in Frederick!
Stopped in for lunch and everything was delicious. Great seats by the windows upstairs and fantastic service.
If you like pastrami, this is the place to go. It will knock your socks off. From the pastrami hash on the brunch menu to the pastrami sandwich. You will not be disappointed.
Annual trip with friends from Morgantown, WV ...we live it!! Our server was amazing and food was incredible...making this an annual event
Great service, great food, great ambience.
Every dish was delicious, especially rockfish and scallops. Beautifully prepared and presented as well. Well priced wine list. Attentive and friendly service, even on a really busy Valentines Day. Lots of different areas for seating-we liked the upper level which is open to view the bar and dining areas below. A great experience.
Enjoyable experience everytime. Great atmosphere, good service, food and drinks.
Great food, great service, wonderful music and lovely ambiance. What's not to love?
The place is charming. The food was great. Staff was experienced, friendly, competent. The only negative would be the Bloody Mary’s need a little work. But definitely a fantastic place to brunch it.
Just love this place!
My entire adult, dining-out-all-over-the-country family LOVES Firestones. Any time they come to visit we try to schedule a meal there. How fortunate my daughter's family and I live here, so we can visit whenever, as she and I did for her birthday on this occasion.
I've been dining at Firestone's for close to 15 years and I've never been disappointed. This is the go-to restaurant in downtown Frederick when I meet my mom for dinner. The first floor bar always seems to be hopping. The upstairs dining area is comfortable, and if you're lucky, you can get a window seat with a nice birds-eye view of Market Street. We generally do. The menu is creative and eclectic: there are "casual" dining sections and more refined, upscale selections. Neither of us has ever had a disappointing dish here. (My wife has joined us a couple of times over the years and she's enjoyed the food too.) Tonight we limited ourselves to martinis and an entree (we skipped the appetizers). My mom had the dry-aged pork tenderloin, which she loved--ate half and took the other half of the dish home, as always. I tasted hers and it was delicious. I had the Chesapeake Rockfish, which was also very good. It was served with a mixed beet carpaccio, wild mushroom and asparagus, and then finished with a bacon vinaigrette. I highly recommend Firestone's Culinary Tavern.
This was jazz brunch and the trio was great. The service was great and the staff worked hard to make sure my gluten free husband was taken care of. We shared deviled eggs trio which was delicious, I had eggs Benedict which was good although not out of the ordinary, my husband had steak and eggs and the steak was perfectly done. The historic building is fun with elaborate tin ceiling.
We had a wonderful meal. Everybody was so accommodating staff was fantastic. We started out next-door at the Rob bar and then came over for a wonderful delicious dinner.
