Located within close proximity to the Royal Academy of Music and Madame Tussauds, guests can enjoy an extensive choice of salads, schnitzels, brötchen, strudels, and sandwiches as the food utilises simple but high-quality ingredients. The restaurant, designed by Brady Williams, features leather banquettes and bentwood chairs, all which are weaved within a glowing dark wood and brass interior.

The decor / ambience is really nice. Staff was nice too. It is a great place for coffee and cake. However, I would not go there for lunch or dinner. The Kasespaetzle don't resemble at all what you would get in Austria / Bavaria (+ bland taste, nothing like the real thing). It looked like cheap mac & cheese at a high price. The Schnitzel was made of pork and nothing to rave about, but at prices of a veal Schnitzel. Won't be going back for food.
Go to Fischer's regularly. I like the ambience . Good location.
Very pleasant at lunch time for ladies get together
Very good as usual. Sadly a little bit quiet.
Should covered by Paper or similar
I explained to menager
I don’t think he understand
Means this Restaurant is not hygienic enough
Was regular client of but not anymore
The food was excellent but for the soup which had to be sent back as it wasn’t hot.
Reliable, bustling brasserie style. Friendly and efficient service. Good choice of starters and mains with smaller and larger portions. Snitzels were well cooked and with sauce on the side. Fun place.
A wonderful restaurant. The staff are very attentive and the food is superb. The decor is very welcoming and the location is well positioned to go shopping afterwards.
This is a superior restaurant that misses greatness, but only just. The waiters and waitresses are lovely and helpful. The rosti are a must have. The poached eggs were rubbery on the skin, probably from poaching in an acid bath. But they tasted perfect without a him of vinegar. Great streaky bacon ,almost American in flavour, but the sausage was a bit British and boring. The schnitzel is epic. The kippers were bonier than usual and very hard to fillet without leaving bones in the flesh. Maybe I'm being picky about the flaws, considering the overall very high quality. But the place ain't cheap, so I feel okay about being demanding.
The food is very good and the service was excellent. If you desire authentic Austrian food then this is a perfect venue to experience the taste of Austria. The portions are on the small size.
Amazing experience, food, service and ambiance. Loved!
Really like this place as the food is consistent and the atmosphere is great. Let down by the service tonight, it was a great start but once we got tried to order desert we were left to wait, shame.
Most disappointed as was not made aware in advance that we had to vacate our table after 90mins. This ruined what would have been a lovely reunion lunch with a friend who I had not seen for almost 15years. Expected much better service especially for a regular of this restaurant!
Good food and pleasant service, if a little slow at times to take orders. Portions are sizeable; medium schnitzel is quite enough for a normal appetite. Choose the ice cream sundaes for dessert - strudel seemed too much.
Another great evening at Fischers - good food and ambience !
I love Fischers, it's a firm favourite and is always great! Lovely food, especially chicken schnitzel!!!
Fischer’s is always excellent. The people watching is entertaining. Ambience excellent as well as the food, simple but tasty.
Amazing food. Great value. However the fire alarm went off about five times. Bit of a mood killer.
Service was terrible but quite friendly when one of our 4 servers came to table as the two tables around us were left uncleared for most of the time we ate after guests left.
I will return for the food but only sit in back of restaurant as service is much better!
Was disappointed with how they added a “Dinner Cover” charge without notifying us beforehand. The manager did a poor job with explaining the rationale for this additional charge, which was removed only after we protested. They also charged us for water even though we only received tap water.
Wonderful traditional Austrian inspired venue offering a selection of local foods.
Had the Wiener Schnitzel - one of my favourite dishes , it was perfectly done ( as in Vienna ) ! Good, efficient service , nice café society , European ambiance; was very busy at lunchtime - this being the holiday period . Delicious , Austrian - style desserts - full of cream and yummy flavours !
It was over crowed, nowhere to sit pre-dinner. Table staff were surly, brought food we hadn’t ordered to the table then for got food we had ordered plus an accompaniment to a main course. There was a lack or care and attention. Was overall very unhappy with our trip to this venue.
Great food, in lively atmospheric restaurant. Herrings and snitzel excellent.
The service seems to have gone down recently the servers perhaps have language issues and don’t understand instructions or it’s the kitchen? On two visits they’ve forgotten my requested spinach and the eggs have been semi cold. It’s hard to wave attention for service, they just aren’t attentive. Service needs to be impeccable like in Vienna! We will give it one more chance for breakfast as we love the pastrami rosti with eggs and coffee.
Too many people waiting for tables!
Never seen that at Fischers before
We had to wait 15 minutes and other people had a longer wait.
For a usually professional and well run reception, this was chaotic and uncharacteristic.
I was told -it’s Christmas!!
Second visit here. Food remains poor and below standard for a restaurant like this. Goulash was overbooked, dry and no resemblance to what a good goulash should be. The spezle has seen better days and were dried out. My guests schnitzel was ok. Side of sauerkraut tasted like it came straight out if the can - chef should know that sauerkraut needs preparation and added ingredients. Very very poor
Nice place for a relaxed lunch.its not fine dining but it is enjoyable and I would definitely use again. The salmon starter is a bit small for the cost but the mains are fine.
Probably opt for main and dessert as they looked good as never manage 3 courses.
Lunch with friends at bustling Fischers. Very pleasant welcome & shown to table quickly. Waiter a little slow but once on the case pretty good, except for mishearing one of our orders. This was quickly replaced (for free) by him once pointed out.
I always love the Viennese fin du siecle decor, mahogany panelled & marble individual loos, and delicious schnitzels or sausages.
Great location for post lunch shopping in the Marylebone High St boutiques.
I love the ambiance and the feel of being in one of those famous Viennese restaurants. I also love the food. simple dishes which you cannot find in other restaurants like the chicken noodle soup, and of course the famous Vienerze schnitzel.
Usually Fischer’s is one of our neighborhood restaurants that consistently delivers on food and service. This time we experience really bad service - they forgot to give us the bread basked you get at the start (so we had to ask for it). It took forever before we got to make our order (I had to make eye contact with the waiter several times) and when asking for condiments they gave the wrong ones. Quite annoying. Food was really good though, just wish the service wouldn’t bring down the overall experience.
Can recommend the beetroot and chopped herring- a very tasty little starter ,and the dessert of fruit in mulled wine.My husband praised the Schnitzel and the crumble for dessert.Restaurant has a great atmosphere and is rather beautiful with lovely wood panelling. However it felt very warm indeed.
Excellent seating, attentive and prompt service. The food was exemplary. Thank you all so much.
Love this place. Best schnitzel in the West.
Excellent food, service and ambience. Perfect venue for lunch; we can’t believe we have not found the restaurant before!
Fischer’s is one of my favourite restaurants in London. The schnitzel is particular is outstanding.
Somehow not quite as good as the Delaunay for breakfast. Specific eggs orders kind of ignored by waiter or kitchen. Coffee order allowed to go cold on counter cos waiting staff were too busy or short staffed.
Food generally quite nice. Staff friendly.
Third time here and always great- service was excellent and went extra mile to get us the window view
Delicious food, great atmosphere but the service was a bit impersonal.
Dine here regularly - first time service was terrible!
Fischer’s is ALWAYS fabulous! I’ve never had a bad experience.
