The menu is quite short, which is good as it allows them to specialise and produce very good food. The whitebait was excellent, as was the softshell crab. Prices are reasonable. Service was excellent.
Outside terrace venue was nice but the service was slow and food was average.
Oysters were not big and food was ok, not inspiring.
Wine was good but not sure if this is my first choice of fish restaurant for a business meal.
Food was lovely.
I can't believe we found this place last minute on a Friday evening!
We had the set menu and were amazed. The fish were quite big and super fresh, cooked to perfection. The staff are very attentive and friendly. Looking forward to coming back and try some of the dishes from the other menu or the Saturday brunch
Lovely food very tasty will dine again
This restaurant is a bit of hidden gem near liverpool street. Really good fish that is fresh and cooked perfectly. The ultimate fish burger is the best I have had in London. Well worth a visit.
Excellent food and service and a nice ambience
Set menu was a great deal, though the waiter only brought out the set menu when asked about it.
Ceviche was ok, I’ve had better (not acidic enough and tiny portion) but the mussels were very good.
What a find!
I have walked past the Fish Market on some many occasions but had never visited. Booked in for a late Saturday brunch before an event, so unfortunately could not partake in the bottomless Prosecco.
We all had two courses with choices including crumpet with poached eggs, avocado and crab and for the mains, our husbands both had The Ultimate Fishcake which they said "was to die for!" I had the fish of the day which was seabream which was delicious. This entitled us to 4 free oysters which was a nice touch.
The only negative is that its really noisy due to being quite industrial feel of the building/décor with no soft furnishing to dull the sound.
Regardless, would love to come for brunch when not in a hurry and order the Seafood platter. Would thoroughly recommend
Amazing dinner, great service and lovely company.
Fantastic food and service, buzzy atmosphere. Scallops to start were amazing and so were our fish & chips mains (which included a drink).
Lovely food, great place to meet friends for dinner.
always take my godson here. he says it ticks all the boxes and he comes from ipswich. seemed a bit more expensive this time
Lovely understated restaurant. Great value and lovely food. Friendly service.
Very nice and friendly, large selection of fish - service was friendly and efficient!
Not what I expected. it wasn't easy to find the location.
Absolutely wonderful fish and chips on a Friday or any day for that matter!!
Seafood was very good, and the service was friendly and well-paced. VFM was very good for the food, though the wine list was pricey (typical for the City) and they could do with a "proper" beer option or two
A disappointingly average meal at a restaurant which on previous visits was very good. Staggeringly at 7.30 on a Wednesday evening the place had run out of beer battered fish and chips! With the limited menu choice this was not good - all three of us had selected it and there was no indication it was off until the waiter told us when we ordered. Starters were fine but mains were so so and portions were small.
Excellent place for lunch. Fresh and delicious seafood!
Lovely restaurant, had fish and chips. The fish was really fresh and lovely chips.
Great service, great food and very reasonably priced. Have been before and will definitely be back!
The restaurant itself was quite cold, air con did not need to be on
I don't like to write negative reviews, but my friends and I were highly disappointed in this restaurant last night. We went when it first opened and the value for money was great. We went for the set menu, this really is a 'no frills' choice, and not that much cheaper either! There was no complimentary bread, the main was literally the one item. The pasta dish was like a starter or a child's portion! We all left feeling hungry and £40 lighter each! I would not go again, if you have a set menu, that is not supposed to be a sub - standard choice!
Another very nice meal at the Fish Market, a little disappointed at the end of the evening as the service to serve the sweet and coffees became non existent and the staff required several reminders.
Food and service were excellent. However, there was a mix up on the restaurant’s end with my Open Table reservation and when we arrived they did not have a reservation for us. The receptionist was extremely rude and unprofessional. As we enjoyed our dinner we noticed her being less than pleasant to other customers as well. Not a good first impression from this restaurant.
I booked a table for Valentine's Day with the offer 4 courses for £50 when I received the bill I realized that I been charged for the 4th course (the sides) as an extra. When I ask information about that I been explained that the offer it wasn't correctly explained in open table. Anyway the manager offer us to remove from the bill the sides and an extra starter that we ordered. Overall the experience was good, the food tasty, and the staff had the right skills to approach the problem of the bill/offer. Would come back
Too expensive for the quantity the offering .
Very good quality very good service
Easy to find, decent menu with range of fish and sourced ingredients. Friendly and helpful staff and without feeling rushed. Decent prices and good food. What’s not to like.
Was a bit slow but the food was great and well priced
Set menu was great value and really tasty - great for a casual dinner with friends
Great seafood. Lots of flavour, but my criticism is that my boyfriend and I were still hungry after sharing 3 starters and 2 main courses. I had hoped to feel more satisfied especially for the cost.
It was OK.Fish was fresh, plainly cooked. The mussel sauce was too salty, but edible. More like a cafe than a restaurant, no table cloths. Might go again if I want fish.
We went there with my wife for our anniversary. Food and service were good.
We appreciated the complimentary drinks for our anniversary. Thank you very much.
The dishes are tasteful. The promotion is very good value for money, but the dish size is surprisingly small. The service is good, but not very attentive.
Good fish restaurant. Having the special offer makes the price reasonable.
Nick, stand up and get ready to receive your bottle of bubbly! Take a bow :)
Very average food. The wine was extremely good and great value. Service was also very pleasant but they did get our order wrong twice.
I was extremely excited to have some fresh fish and from that perspective the fish, muscles and prawns were extremely fresh however the lack of seasoning really let the meal down.
The service was good however not the most attentive, we sat on the table waiting for our mains for a while which was unfortunate as we were starving due to the muscles being overcooked.
Overall 3.5 / 5 definitely a great ambience and great fresh fish, would also recommend the prawn linguini.
Fish very tasty but small portions. Mains the size of starters.
