Some of the freshest fish ever eaten - would highly recommend. Great service and ambience too
Great ambiance and food
As always an interesting ever changing menu great selection of fish and wines
I thoroughly enjoyed my evening with my date at the Fishworks restaurant in Marylebone. The food was super tasty and and the service very good. Would definitely dine here again with friends or as a couple.
Great quality seafood. I ordered the mix grilled seafood and it was excellent!
So accommodating of my dietary requirements and the food was cooked to perfection
Food was lovely but staff didn’t really take the time to explain about the fresh fish on the specials menu which you could buy by weight depending which fish was available. We had to keep asking questions and then look at the fish, then say what we were interested in then wait for a price. Bit of a mission. Three of us just chose from the other menu as it was easier. But overall a good dining experience and would definitely go again although a bit pricey.
Good food, nice place and gentle waiters... I will come back for sure on my next trip to London!!
Excellent seafood served by attentive and helpful people
We ordered a boat fish for four that was priced too much also considering it was a monk fish and that it was served with additionally charged vegetables , the latter not enough for four people, by the way.
100 pounds each wth only one bottle of wine and one dessert is above expectations considering the level of ambience and table set.
Delicious food and great service, will come again. Thanks!
Great food, service and atmosphere, will definitely return.
Nice restaurant, friendly staff and food was excellent.
Always delivers great food and service
My first date and I really enjoyed dinner here. Food was lovely. They were out of Lemon Sole but offered a good alternative (Dover Sole) which they brought to the table to show me before making my decision. Will definitely be back. 👍
Mediocre. Slow service. Badly overcooked fish. The chips were hot and fresh though, and the fish and chips was pretty good.
food and service very good, and thanks for a nice evening! However, all quite expensive, but this is not least a London experience, all too expensive for the value offered.
I had a very tasty lunch at the Fishworks. Foodwise everything was perfect. We had oysters, fish from main menu (not from the window) and and a very nice white wine. Lunch could have been perfect if it wasn't for some really critical flaws in the service. When we arrived we have to wait very long until any waiter came to answer our questions about the menu - we had quite a few tbh and took a while to decide. However when we were about to order the mains, the waiter made a really rude comment even before we ordered anything: "please don't tell you're sharing 1 main". Well, we were not, but I felt quite offended by the comment. What if we were? Also, the waiter clearly said that eventhough my fish was supposed to come with masehd potatoes according to the menu, it was merely decorative and I should order a side. Happens that there was a bed of masehd potatoes and I ended up not being able to eat the side I was misguided to order, so much it was the food. I really felt that the waiter was trying to inflate our final bill as much as possible. This is horrible in my opinion and don't correspond to the quality of the restaurant.
As always lots of choice great fresh fish and interesting wine
I M a regular but there has now been a new menu. I ordered the boulliabase which was in place of the Italian fish stew . The soup base was fine but it only came with a few very small fillets , some mussels and 1 crevwtte.
I did not enjoy it , it was very underwhelming , and have to say I was very disappointed .
The previous soup had fish on the bone and was more flavourful.
Would appreciate if you could review the menu again .
Casual, tasty fresh fish- a relaxed evening meal -quiet on a Sunday evening and that was perfect
The best shellfish we have had in a long time the staff was so friendly and helpfull
We will be returning for our sons birthday in may and can not wait
This branch is more more welcoming and attentive than the Swallow Street branch. The service is what you expect for a restaurant with such prices. The taster platter for two was amazing. Will definitely return to this one.
Amazing menu, all food was lovely particularly the lobster, service excellent
This is a lovely friendly place . You go through a wet fish shop into a comfortable professional restaurant . Seafood is well prepared and lots of specials as well as old favourites. You can also order direct from the shop and choose your own fish .
The staff are professional and welcoming and the food is high quality.
I took my father (a fish lover) for dinner here last week and I must confess to being underwhelmed. It may have been that I expected more but the food was very very average.
I had the monkfish and chips, the filet was huge but verging on undercooked in the middle due to this size which was unappealing, the tartare sauce was sweet and the minted peas grainy. Thank god for the chips.
My father had the Bouillabaisse which had fish and shellfish very well cooked but the broth was under seasoned and bland
Dessert so so.
Service was excellent for the most part, however when it got busy attentiveness dropped markedly.
Atmosphere nice and buzzy and I like the fact the restaurant is appended to the fishmongers which gives an authenticity.
A good lunch to celebrate Mothering Sunday in a relaxed setting.
Nice ambience and the food was simple but incredibly fresh. hence the natural flavours won
Lovely food lovely staff very attentive in every way, our wine and water glass' s were never empty. Would definitely go again.
Our meals were delicious
Great food, friendly service, the only negative was the strong fish smell coming from the fishmongers up front. 🤢
Miserable unwelcoming staff who clearly have no care for the job .I blame management for instilling no customer service ethos. Food mediocre at best . I used to like it at fish works is really taken a downward turn .
The freshness of the fish served in Fish Works must be among the freshest in London and it was cooked to perfection in a light batter and with delicious chips, not too many and not too few, but just the right amount. The fish soup is very tasty and an excellent starter before the main course. The waiter might have smiled and shown a bit of enthusiasm to crown the occasion.
A very nice restaurant for a Sunday lunch when shopping in Marylebone albeit a little pricey. The set lunch menu is quite good value but a limited choice
Very good for fish but prices on the high-side. Good ambience and low volumes (at 6.00 p.m.).
Delicious food and great service. Lighting could be more intimate, but thats just personal taste.
Fishworks Marleybone is our preferred Marleybone restaurant .
Always fresh and well prepared fish, good service and attractive wine list.
What more do you want from a restaurant ?
Le poisson est très bon et le service parfait.
Cependant, c’etait Trop bruyant.
Everything was fine but the hake was overcooled and therefore rather dry. I didn’t like to complain at the time as I was being treated and would have felt rude.
