This is the second time I have had lunch at the Fishworks in Marylebone in the last 4 weeks and have really enjoyed the experience on both occasions.
On my first visit I had beautifully cooked scallops for my starter and an excellent Cod for my main course. On my second visit I really enjoyed some small fishcakes followed by a tasty Seabass. The side dishes, such as carrots, broccoli and baby potatoes are equally beautifully cooked. I would also recommend a glass of the French Sauvignon Blanc.
The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and I will certainly be visiting the venue again.
An impressive venue, good seafood, expensive but that’s Marylebone.
The place is dirty and grubby .
I ordered 6 oysters and got 5 with no oyster in the 6 the 6th one .
Really dissatisfied with the food and service and did not stay for main course left and went somewhere else .
Will not recommend or return .
Really good quality meal in unusual but pleasant surroundings.
Always good value with a comprehensive but not over-priced wine list
Had a lovely lunch - would recommend the mixed grilled fish platter
Staff very particular with cleaning / COVID precautions
Excellent fresh fish very well cooked and nicely presented. 😊😊
Took the Sister and Brother in Law for a 35th Wedding Anniversary meal and it was brilliant. Food and service was excellent
The red wine was so warm that we have to ask for an ice bucket to cool it down!
Great food , quick and friendly service would defiantly return
Good food and good atmosphere. Fantastic service.
Well mannered, friendly with expertise advice .
The food was very tasty and came hot to the table .
We had a fantastic meal and would definitely recommend it.
Restaurant was quite buzzy on arrival for a 2.15pm lunch booking on a bank holiday Monday. May have been to do with the 50% offer off the A la carte menu for August. Greeted immediately and show to our table. Waiting staff professional and friendly.
Food was served quickly, scallops were cooked well but lacked some flavour, I couldn't taste any pernod.
Main course halibut when arrived was under cooked was immediately removed and a fresh plate ordered. My partner ordered grilled monkfish instead of it in batter which they were happy to do. The halibut did take time and my partner had finished his lunch by the time mine arrived which was unfortunate.
Over all a positive experience, the service is the high light of the restaurant staff very accommodating. Would I pay full price for this meal probably not.
It was great service and food as well.
I enjoyed very much.
Great lunch on the bank holiday which was the last day of EOTHO. Food was delicious.
we had a great experience, our food was fantastic at a good price and given the Covid 19 situation we have to say we felt very safe as well. Definitely going to book again.
Booked for my wife's birthday. Food was excellent and service was great. Quite informal but this was as we expected the food was the reason from r booking and it did not disappoint. Will definitely return and would 100% recommend for seafood lovers. Thanks for a great meal and the best evening.
I was a bit disappointed in the food, definitely should avoid the lobster and steak.
Excellent restaurant and will definitely return soon!
Went there for lunch, awesome atmosphere, music was not too loud, beautiful presentation of the restaurant great service and great food, there wasn’t a single thing I didn’t like about the place, surely will be back
If you love fish and seafood - recommended. I had the monkfish it was beautifully cooked.
I'm happy with very fresh seafood.
I'd come back again.
Fishworks at Marylebone serves very fresh seafood. Excellent starters (scallops and prawns) and main course (Cod and Seafoodlinguine). I had the Icelandic cod which was on the special menu of the day - tasty and fresh, although the vegetables were slightly overcooked. The wine complemented the food really well. Really good value with the Eat out to help out scheme and the restaurant provided an additional £10 discount on a bottle of wine. Friendly efficient service, where staff wore face masks. Tables adequately spaced for social distancing.
We usually eat in a group of five, but just two of us ventured into town this time, for a recce, as the others still aren't sure about making the trip during a pandemic....
We were SO glad that we had made the effort, because from our initial greeting to the final "farewell", the whole experience at Fishworks was delightful. The staff were attentive, and friendly, without being at all overbearing.
We had a glass of champagne each to start, and a bottle of Picpoul to accompany my Halibut, served with champ and a samphire sauce, and my companion's Dover sole à la Meurniere. Both of the mains were excellent, with the two fish being the undoubted stars of the show - of excellent quality, really well cooked and presented.
We each had a dessert - one lemon tart and one brownie, which were rich enough to be indulgent, but not so large as to be "too much"!
I think a return trip to Fishworks - Marylebone will definitely beon the cards!
we went to Fishworks for eat out to help out. Fishworks has a very agreeable bistro like atmosphere which i appreciate a lot. However, while i appreciate that offering 50% off the a la carte menu entails having to make allowances for smaller portions than normal, getting a totally undercooked 50gr piece of fish for what is normally a 23£ course is stretching it a bit. I must say that the waitress was incredibly nice, understanding and apologetic and provided me with extra portion which alas was even more undercooked, leaving me sick the whole night. Overall disappointing. My friends oysters and lobster went down well, they had a nicer experience than me luckily
Lovely food although small portions and high prices
I accidentally booked the wrong restaurant for the wrong time. Yet, they were accommodating and even though we’re in trying times they allowed me and my
Mum to have a table where we ordered oysters, fish platter and a lovely bottle of wine. Great hostess too!! I’d go again!
Good scallops and service. Steak was a bit tough and white fish a bit bland
Enjoyed their superb fish and chips with fresh cod and crunchy dough. Chips were nice, too.
We went for lunch with my 2
Years twins and we had oysters with fish soup as starters and Fish Plater as main course was LUSH!!!Delicious!!!
Nice Restaurant and lovely staffs!
I went there to my husband 40th birthday Sunday and we had surprise birthday dessert and candle.
I highly recommend!!!
first time here, but will not be the last. the food was excellent of you like fresh fish cooked well
Really lovely meal and service. I had the bouillabaisse and my daughter had the seafood platter. We also had oysters to share.
The food was excellent and the waiters were attentive and friendly.
I would definitely recommend Fishworks for dining.
We love visiting fish works!! Have been going there for years. The fresh seafood is really good
Brilliant. Great service. Food ..... wonderful. Portions a bit small.
The food was amazing by far one of the best fish restaurants I have ever had food from. Hats off to the chef. Thanks we will be back.
Sensational food - specials were delicious. Fresh Dover Sole to die for.
We had lovely fish cooked simply which is what we like. Good service very COVID aware: we felt cofortable.
Food was good quality. Waitress seemed bored and very uninterested which was a shame
First time at the restaurant and what a place. Atmosphere, food and staff could not have been better. This is now a must for us on any visit to London.
