Absolutely delicious scallops and grilled fish of the day. Whoever is cooking knows how to prepare fish. The fishmonger at the front of the restaurant is also very knowledgeable and helpful in choosing which fish to have. I am Rapidly becoming a regular.
Lovely food, on the pricey side and the waiter was grumpy.
We had a lovely evening to celebrate a birthday and received extra special service. Delicious food and lots of fun!
Lovely fish restaurant, we enjoyed the fresh fish and this is really why to come here. The atmosphere is nice, but the what makes it stand out is the quality of the food! Really recommend the bouillabaisse.
Simply superb and wide selection of fresh fish, properly cooked and promptly served.
All was great, the food and service but it was more expensive than expected, it should be a £££ not a ££. We paid £100 for 2 starters and 2 main course which I think is too much.
The restaurant serves lovely fresh fish! Nice staff
We would highly recommend Fishworks, where we had a birthday dinner recently. We had 3 courses each and a half-bottle of wine between 2 of us (out of 4) plus fruit juices, bread etc. Two of us had wild sea bass from the specials menu, one had halibut and one the fish and seafood platter. All were excellent, especially the fish soup. Starters and puddings likewise. The ice-cream in unusual fruit flavours was particularly delicious. Everything was well-presented with plenty of vegetables, and I would like to commend the service, which was attentive without being fussy. The waiter took special care to meet the allergen requirements of one of us, which was much-appreciated.
Seared Tuna main was amazing as were the starters.
Very polite staff
Very good food Dover sole
Very good deserts
Very nice restaurant, delicious fish dishes. We will come back again!
Nice restaurant . Quality of food good. Strong smell as we entered through fishmonger's. Very noisy but it was a Friday evening. Gratuity added to bill at 12 .5 0/0. A lot when including drinks and wine. I much prefer to do my own tips. If service excellent I give more. Get annoyed at being told.
One of my favourite fish restaurants. Having to enter through the fishmongers shop adds to the expectation & experience. Go for the catch of the day always really fresh & delicious. Amazing lemon tart & raspberry sorbet for dessert was exceptional
Great battered cod and chips
Good quality fish dishes, pleasant service and ambience, on the whole good value but side dishes are quite pricey
Excellent food, service and ambience. Thank you.
Expensive for what it is and lacked flavors. Service was very unprofessional and haphazard.
Great restaurant. Haven’t been for several years but not disappointed. Fantastic relaxed atmosphere. My guest was equally impressed and intends to return.
Wanted mash potato which was on the menu for other dishes but was told they didn’t have enough. Easy to go and get some. Wasn’t impressed with that. Fish is great though.
Positives -The quality of my scallops, my turbot and prawns were so fresh and tasted amazing. One of the best in London.
The French fries were surprising also very good.
Overall loved the experience and can’t wait to eat there again.
Negative- our waitress was nice but when she wasn’t around we happen to ask one of the waiters to get us a drink and he appeared less friendly to us, whereas he appeared much more friendly with other guests. I must admit it kind of dampen our mood.
Everything was perfect as usual.
One of our fave restaurants! Delicious fish every time and so fresh. Cannot wait to return!
Excellent in every respect. Lovely service and delicious food.
Perfect as always if you want good fish in London they are the best
Unfortunately, the male waiters did not seem to want to help out the female waitress in serving tables.. This left the waitress rushing and not providing an explanation of the food or what would be expected for a £100 meal. The food however was good
Found the restaurant behind the fishmonger shop. Just as well we sat right at the back as there was a really strong smell of the fish at the front. It was quiet due to being a Sunday evening. The room was a bit chilly with the air conditioner blowing out cold air. The waiter said it was on as a heater but it didn’t feel like it. The scallops starter was nice and garlicky. The monkfish fish and chips was tasty so was the cod but my husband found a few huge bones in it. The chocolate brownie dessert was lovely. Overall it was a nice meal with fresh fish.
Very good and fresh seafood with an excellent selection. A nice restaurant without being overly posh or stuffy. Walking through the fish mongers to get to the restaurant is a unique experience. Prices are very reasonable when compared to other decent seafood options.
I had to send my friend’s food back - my food was average but forgettable and overall was disappointing - waitress was lovely and tried to help but the food was poor
A truly memorable occasion !! Cant think how it could be improved. Nothing more to add
We always enjoy our visits to Fishworks and this time was no exception. We received very friendly and efficient service and our meal was delicious. Thank you
As always - brilliant fresh seafood prepared in an I fussy way. Service friendly but a bit “ scatty”
Glad to see that you have the Chablis by the glass back on the menu
It was expensive for the amount of food on the plate.
It was very noisy as we were packed in like sardines, with at least one table for 2 too many in the line of tables: like a canteen, not a restaurant.
The amount of pate was very small, the Eton mess was mostly whipped cream.
The fish was excellent but the vegetables disappointing. Wine was excellent but pricey. The table we were allocated was cramped but the service attentive but not excessively so.
Fish quality is outstanding. Great ambience and wine is fab.
Food was amazing, waiter was very welcoming and friendly. Everyone enjoyed themselves so very much. Both chef and waiter I believed were two Algerian gentleman and are both fantastic workers!
Had a delicious meal with excellent service - and loved walking in through a proper fishmongers !
The clamps and the small fishes was very bad
They was not fresh at all
Very tasty and high quality food (fish), but a little bit expensive but it is absolutely worth to go there. I will come back. The service was excellent!
Lovely Friday night family meal. Fish was fresh and beautifully prepared.
