Went for a bachelorette party and we all really enjoyed ourselves. The live band was fun and was definitely a plus. I got the pulled pork and it was amazing! Another person even ordered it after trying mine.
The Ruben is their signature sandwich. Pulled pork and Burger with pepper jack was delicious. Generous portions and friendly staff. Tables indoorand outside.
As always, food was great. Service could use a slight improvement.
I usually don’t provide feedback but the experience was so negative I felt compelled. I picked up my nephew from the airport and thought it would be nice to have dinner nearby. We arrived and were seated indoors as no outside tables were available. I had a reservation and thought I had requested outdoors but just took what was offered.
We immediately noticed how loud the music was with a live band. We could not hear each other talking the entire time we were there. The two guys playing music did not take a break. They literally played as loudly as humanly possible. Then I ordered a Greek salad and was told you were out of feta. At that point I said to substitute a different cheese. I was served a head of romaine lettuce with a half of a chicken breast and a few slivers of cheddar cheese. And I paid $15 for a salad that was not worth half that amount. Our server had an attitude and was completely absent. We had to ask multiple times for refills on water. It was a completely unpleasant experience that cost me $125 + a $25 tip for five people. I will never return to that restaurant.
Food was very good , our server was great friendly
2nd time here, trust enjoyed it.
Went right before a movie and we’re celebrating being able to a: see friends again and b: see a movie. (It’s early days of people being vaccinated and things opening up - May 2021). This was a favorite before COVID hot and we were overjoyed that our favorite place for Irish nachos made it through. Will always support this restaurant… it’s well worth the trip.
Great place . Live music was excellent ! Good food too
Awesome bar and restaurant with live music and excellent food!
Food was excellent and I loved the live music, but the service was a bit slow and I did expect to get more food for what we paid.
Felt safe with our group away from others. Good food had by all! Servers were friendly and took good care of us.
We sat on the patio and our service was intermittent at best - we had to flag down wait staff several times. The cocktails were acceptable, the appetizers were good but our entrees were just ok.
We went early for dinner on a Saturday at 5:30. Food was good. Had a good time. By 7:30 the place was filling up and a band was setting up to play. Looked like it was going to be a really good time.
Music was too loud
Its good until some people start throwing chairs. The dj should probably lay off that ratchet music.
Nothing that stood out. A little cold inside, never took my coat off.
Fabulous venue for live music, delicious food and drinks with a good friend. 🎸🍻😍
Very disappointing. Nothing Irish about it.
We went there for lunch on Saturday afternoon after making a reservation on open table and they were closed. We drove quite a distance to go to the restaurant. Might want to update your availability and your hours on open table. Thanks!
Well I wish I could give you a review but I never got to eat there. Went on the website, made a 5:30 pm reservation with Open Table (link on their site). Then when we arrived saw a sign that the kitchen closes at 6 pm. Asked the bartender. He said they are closing the kitchen soon. I asked him about my reservation. He knew nothing about it. He did not know why they would be taking reservations. Very disappointed. Bad service.
We went there for a concert and were able to sit outside enjoying the ambiance. Service was excellent as well as the food. We were waited on promptly and did not have to wait long for the food.
Half price appetizers 4-6 pm. Great deal. Had a hamburger with a $3 upcharge for onions rings that were chewy and tasted like dough. I’ll not make that mistake again Had a little trouble with waitress first coming and then still following up.
Excellent quality, fresh salad and so very tender shirt ribs and Shepherd's Pie.
Chicken pot pie was very good. Tastes like homemade with a lot of vegetables. The drinks seemed high though and might be a factor on if I return or not.
Good food. Great beer selection with $4 draft beers when we were there on Monday
Awesome place to visit if your in the area. Food was great. Service was also top notch.
I went here with a friend on Saturday night at 7:00. There were a few private parties going on, plus live music, so it was a bit hard to carry on a conversation. Our food and drinks were great, and our server was quick and friendly.
Truffle fries were out of this world! Definitely would recommend 5 Roses for a casual night out in Rosemont!
lunch date with a friend
Enjoyed eating outside, great service and food options!
I would go again
Only reason this didn't get 5 stars across the board is because they took the steak tips with the awesome sauce off the menu!! But the amazing Mickey was able to talk the great kitchen staff you guys have and get my awesome sauce anyways! Please put it back!! :)
Food was fine. Service was ok. The mains came out about 2 minutes after the appetizer. Waitress seemed a little disinterested but she was ok. Friend wanted burger without a bun due to allergies. They brought it on a bun and forgot the extra lettuce she had asked for initially. They brought out the extra lettuce when we reminded the waitress. So so experience. They had a number of good beers on tap.
Although it’s a convenient location in Rosemont, this “Irish pub” needs a new chef. The steak salad was so mediocre, even the lettuce was not very tasty. The steak was tuff and tasteless.
Our waitress was vapid. She forgot everything. Two orders were wrong. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone
Great service and food try the Irish Nachos
Very nice Pub , very loud and crowded on free live outdoor concert summer Thursday night's. Sad that they don't serve curry sauce to put on your chips a very non authentic Pub menu and environment.
Had a solo dinner on Friday night after a flight into O’hare. Ordered the chicken sandwich, it was very good, I like the avocado spread on the bread. The fries were fresh, the seasoning was a bit salty, could be a little bit lighter. The server was helpful making suggestions from the menu since that was my first time there. The service was a little slow, maybe she had a lot of tables to wait, which is understandable. The interactions were very friendly and pleasant. Definitely would recommend and I will be back next time when I transfer in Chicago again.
Service was really bad. They served our appetizer and we waited a long time before our server gave us plates and utensils and mind you, we have to call his attention. The irish nachos was soggy and had so much pork juice at the bottom. My nephew didnt care for the grilled cheese at all. Overall, i thought the food was too pricey for what its really worth.
Had a nice time. The music was great. Food was just okay. Service was very good. Only hic up was I got an email saying we didn’t show. We were 5 minutes early. Hostess must not have marked it.
