The starters and mains, especially the duck, were excellent but the desserts were a bit less interesting and very sweet. It can get quite loud during the busy period because the tables are quite close together. The highlight of the evening was the service - our waitress did a great job of looking after our table. We would definitely recommend this restaurant!
Amazing in Everyway
Food very good as always usually is very fast and this time took long time to come to the table, service was unattended the didn’t really care very much about guests
Great food and fast service, but a little bit dark!
Came here before the theatre on a Saturday evening. It's a pretty nice atmosphere in there with attentive staff, not exactly a Japanese feel but that's ok. The food was good, though not outstanding. Pretty good flavours in the sushi rolls, sashimi, buns etc but nothing blew us away. We felt the portion sizes were pretty small given the price, especially comparing the sushi rolls to other Japanese restaurants we've been to. Nevertheless, it was a decent place but wouldn't be rushing to get back.
Great value for money. Good was lovely and so was the service
Really enjoyed the atmoshare with the dim light setting and ambience. The staff was very polite and attentive, they even took their time out to explaine the dishes to me. Really would recommend the spicy Korean wings as a starter, the dumpilings as side. The wings was very well seasoned and covered with sauce, and the dumpings has to best the best dumpings I have tasted, soft and also go a sweet taste to it. Very good for a date night.
Very very tasty! Took my family and we loved it - probably ate too much :)
Lovely food and brilliant service. really friendly and helpful staff.
Very cool venue in the basement . Love the atmosphere . Food is always delicious and fun to share with a group of friends. It can sometimes be a bit slow but that hasn’t stopped me from going a few times now!
Asked to find a restaurant as my mum wanted to treat my niece and her boyfriend to a meal whilst we were in London. Have been before with my youngest daughter and as enjoyed the experience thought it would suit us all. The meal was very good, our waitress was so helpful and the food just kept coming. All left feeling full and having thoroughly enjoyed the meal, restaurant gets quite noisy when full but this doesn't detract from the experience.
Food was amazing, we had a range of small plates, sashimi and the titular flesh & buns - short rib specifically which was cooked beautifully.
All the food was lovely and the service was great with helpful recommendations on an unfamiliar menu.
The kinako donuts for dessert are worth a special mention if you’re a sweet tooth - ridiculously good!
I have no hesitation to recommend and will be going back.
We went for my wifes birthday and we all loved it. The food and service was great and so original.
We do not eat meat and there was plenty on the menu for us.
Pre theatre menu good value food good
Good food as always and great atmosphere - unfortunately the lady hosting when we arrived let down the evening, taking a rude tone and forcing our party of 2 to sit opposite instead of next to each other ‘in case the restaurant gets full’ (it was 7pm on Sunday, the restaurant was barely half full, and didn’t fill up at all during the entire time we were there)
I struggle with hearing and have always sat side by side when I’m this restaurant, but sadly she wasn’t having any of it.
Otherwise the team’s service was delightful and this is hopefully a one off.
Had a fantastic bottomless brunch. Stylish, amazing food. Highly recommended!
The menu has some unusual dishes like the sweet potato sushi, all the ones I have tried are yummy. I would recommend the duck bao bun for NV and Mushroom ones for V. I loved whatever I tried. The service was exceptional! The staff was polite and well informed. I have some allergies and the extent to which they went to keep me informed was outstanding.
The only feedback would be to get wifi or do something about the mobile network signal because one gets no service on networks. It becomes a bit tedious to step out if need to use the phone.
Great food and atmosphere
One recommendation for Open Table - we had the tasting menu which said online that a glass of prosecco was included however this is not the case.
The manager was lovely when we advised him of this and agreed to refund the charge of the prosecco
Great food and atmosphere but arrogant behavior from the girl in the reception, eg restaurant was half empty and remained as such for the rest of the evening, however the first words she said to us when she seated us were that we have the table for 2 hours max. Not any issue with the time but just the attitude was disappointing especially when the restaurant is half empty- I would prefer a warm welcome and a “Bon appetite!”
It was very good! Unfortunately we got there a bit late and they needed us to choose our dishes quickly, but apart from this, the rest was amazing. I'd totally recommend that to my friends!
Was a bit noisy and hot and dark. The food was great but they forgot our pre starters they brought them with our meat. And I thuink that worked v well. Desert was delicious
We went for the brunch (£39) menu. We didn’t realise how much we were getting and were stuffed by the end of the small plates, with food to spare. The main meals were delicious but as we were stuffed, we couldn’t finish them. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The place had a nice feeling to it as well.
We will definitely go back to try the à la carte menu.
The meal was absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend the beef short rib. Service was also really good. Will definitely be back here.
Great experience 10/10
Outstanding dinner. . .very easy to do a single dinner with the choices available. The grilled broccoli was especially memorable (as well as any of the roasted proteins). Will be back. . .
Food was fantastic, service was good, did feel slightly cramped in and it was hot and sticky in there but overall great
Fab food....ordered the tasting menu which was very good value. Highlight was the piglet belly! Definately will return when back in London.
Great buzz and I could have eaten anything on the menu. Food was excellent. Would love them to stock no-alcohol beer
The food was outstanding -- this has been our second time to dine there. Service was good although communications at times was a challenge. The Manager more than made of for any "blips" and made us feel like we were top of his priority list. The duck was outstanding. . .and the rice in the stone bowls! Will come back again. . .
Great food and service was lovely. Tables are abit close together but overall it’s great
Just wasn’t worth the money which I thought was a lot for what we actually got. Won’t be returning
I genuinely had the best time. At one point it felt like there were two attentive waiters/waitresses per table. They really made the experience even better, so the staff are a credit to the establishment. My husband and I felt that we were treated so nicely and swiftly too, we never had to wait more than a couple of minutes for anyone's attention. I would give this place a 4.8 out of 5 ONLY because one of our food items (Ox cheek croquette) was just too smokey that it became borderline unpleasant by the 2nd one. I can't fault anything else and will definitely be coming back.
Absolutely loved our time in Flesh and Buns. It was a great experience and made out trip to London even more special.
Thank you very much!
Was delicious and wouldn’t fault the food. A bit pricey but good nonetheless.
Always try to fit in a meal here when on leisure trips to London. Food is superbly delicious! Service is excellent. Probably 2 years since we last had Sunday Brunch here and there have been a few changes since... thankfully the food was just as good, but the price has increased substantially. Wine/Prosecco used to be included in the £46 charge but now it is an extra £15. Also, you used to be able to order as many small dishes as you wanted, now the limit is 3 per person. That said, it was enough for me... you just have to focus on ordering what you know you'll like, rather than risk trying something you may not. Our bill for Sunday Brunch, including the 12.5% service charge, came in at just over £70 per head. Pricey, but I'm sure we'll be back!
Amazing experience and I love this restaurant! The only critique would be that I specified in the booking that is was an anniversary meal and I thought that they might have reserved a slightly better table for such an early booking. Loved it anyway and will definitely return!
The tasting menu was excellent and nicely decorated. The toilets could do with more thorough cleaning though as there was that signature starbucks or pret smell and dampness to them.
Staff are excellent food tasted very fresh . Must have the chicken wings .
Very good food and experience. Food was slightly slower than we’d expect but we weren’t in a rush.
Really good food and a nice mood for the evening. Staff were also really nice. Next time I would book a private table rather than standard seating as it can be hard to hear the person opposite.
