Flora Indica pays homage to Scottish botanists who travelled throughout India cataloguing thousands of plants during Queen Victoria’s reign. The tribute is not only paid through its décor, but also in its modern-Indian menu. Think delicately-spiced mouth-watering small plates. It's certainly an eye-opening experience in terms of Indian cuisine.
Flora Indica showcases and awe-inspiring collection of gins alongside a fully-stocked cocktail bar and extensive wine list. The ground floor lounge bar is perfect for after-work cocktails and casual all-day dining. The lower ground floor restaurant at Flora Indica is a beautiful formal dining space. The restaurant is also available for private use, and is the perfect setting, whatever the occasion.

We had the tasting menu with wine pairing. Everything was lovely. Food was terrific and came out at a good pace with attentive service.
Have visited twice in 2019 and love this place. The food is heavenly, with rich, complex spices. Only took one star away because there was one dish (minor) on the tasting menu that seemed less fresh and was uninspired. I had it both visits, so it wasn't a random event. Otherwise every single bite was pure delight! Highly recommend it all!
We were REALLY IMPRESSED with the food and the service! It could well have been the best Indian we tasted ever, and we are Asians! Everything we ordered was bursting with flavors. The spices and herbs came across as really fresh. We loved every dish! There's a famous Indian restaurant in D.C. called Rasika. We were more excited with the food served at Flora Indica than that served at Rasika. Really excited about this discovery!
Love this restaurant- great food - some of the best Indian food i have had in London. Service was terrific- very helpful with advice. Can’t wait to try again.
The dishes are way too small for the price. The food was very good but the portions are tiny. The menu has no explanations, so you have no idea what you are ordering (sauces, level of spiciness..). The tables are so close to each other that there is no privacy, unless you speak in a foreign language...which luckily was our case. Don't think we will back.
We had lunch on a Friday. The restaurant itself was beautiful and stylish. We were initially only offered a la carte and tasting menu for £47 but there was actually a lunch menu (2 courses for £15 and 3 courses for £18, great value) which we had to ask for and thought that was a bit cheeky. Food itself was beautifully presented and excellent. Restaurant would probably attract more customers if people know about this great lunch menu. Overall a lovely experience and will come back.
Amazing place! Beautiful decor. Food was great, the chill garlic naans were fab
Food was amazing and service was great! Definitely plan to go back!
Great change from regular Indian restaurants
Alway enjoy this great restaurant. Great ambience, beautiful place and great food!!!
Great food and very friendly and efficient service
Food is not to spicy so suitable for everyone
Plenty of vegetarian options too
Very small dishes and too expensive. Staff gave a very “rookie” impression. I will not return, nor recommend to anyone else.
Indian cuisine with a slightly different flair from the usual. The appetizers or sharing plates were small but adequate. We especially enjoyed the lamb rojan josh.
Great meal with wonderful host(s) -- we enjoyed thoroughly!
My favorite Indian restaurant! I’ve been going there for the past year and have recommended it to many!
Service and food were awesome again! We have been here twice in the past 6 months and will go again.
All dishes we tried were excellent. Loved the curry flavors.
The best place we ate during our London vacation. Food, service and cocktails were all fantastic. Highly recommend. We tried a different Indian restaurant later in the week and regretted it, wished we had eaten here twice instead.
Highly recommended and should be specialility is the Artichoke and Lamb Rojan Gosht
Really quirky little place with a great food and drink selection.
Wonderful find of a restaurant. We did the tasting with wine pairing and it was perfect. Beautiful variety of dishes and amazing flavors and perfect pairings. The service was attentive and cheerful. When we return to London, We will definitely return.
Great food always but the service was a little disappointing
Food was really good, however service was very slow. Decor inside is beautiful as well!
Outstanding food, service and ambiance. We loved the food, all so flavourful and beautifully presented. The service was excellent, and the servers were so nice. We had plenty of small plates to choose from, all were great. The gin list is impressive as well.
The food was skilfully prepared and beautifully presented and a lot lighter than the usual Indian fare. There were few diners and the atmosphere needed some music. The chef and staff were all super kind.
The food was food. but room downstairs quite noisy, and the service was a little slow
Staying in the area and looking for somewhere to meet up with a friend. One of the best Indian meals I’ve had. The garlic nan was suberb. The lamb was delicious. The chicken tikka was lovely. The food is pricier than some but you get what you pay for. Booked via Open Table.
Service was very poor. Wrong orders brought to the table. Wine was tasting old(was obviously opened few days ago) and had cork bits in it. The glasses was super dirty and had to be sent back. The staff did try, but failed miserably.
The quantity of the food was minuscule such as fine dining, but the food quality and service didn't quite match up. This was like a glorified curry shop dressed up trying to be a fine dining establishment. Save your $
Fashionably designed restaurant. Innovative and outstanding food. However, service is friendly but unprofessional and overwhelmed. No problem for a casual and inexpensive eatery, but this is everything but inexpensive. Big let down is the price/value proposition. Minuscule portions even for main course orders. For the tiny portions without any sides is the price tag exorbitant. Rice needs to be ordered as a side dish at 4 GPB. Even with two starters per person plus a main course with additional rice and bread, one leaves the table hungry having spent 40 GBP per head excluding drinks. Way too expensive for this kind of restaurant and location.
Good food with only one waiter working so it was a bit crazy. But overall food was good and pretty good value
Delicious food, very friendly staff who gave excellent suggestions, and beautiful decor... absolutely loved it, will definitely be back!
This is a fantastic restaurant which I only found on Open Table as it takes bookings up to 10.30! We had been to a gig which ran over time and I called to let them know we would be a bit late, they stayed open for us, were incredibly hospitable and served delicious food. The front of house is charming and the chef also has pride in his yummy food. The bill was also very reasonable. I really recommend Flora Indica.
Very good service
The food is very good although most of the dishes are on the small side making the place a little expensive. Overall I liked it and would recommend the a la carte menu
My favorite Indian restaurant! Food is gourmet style with delicious choices and different flavours!
Very good service in a nice atmosphere.
Wide selection of tapas and curries.
This is good quality innovative indian food at a reasonnable price.
Room pretty empty.
Staff not discrete at all
Discount offered with Open Table not applied
When mentionned to the manager he questioned the reason why we were offered discount. Awkward moment.
We have eaten at Flora Indica several times and have been extremely happy with the food and service. We decided to invite a group of friends to join us on New Years (12 total). We ordered the set menu and it was not the experience we were hoping for. The server seemed very confused, almost like it was his first day on the job. It took a long time for us to receive our starters and later upon reflection we realized that for the number of people we did not receive all of the food we ordered. We had to ask several times when the main dishes would be served. Our reservation was for 8:00 but we did not receive our main dishes until after 10:00. The food was good but for what we were charged it was an extremely disappointing evening....and very expensive.
A must visit restaurant! Excellent food and service!
We were staying London and wanted to try Indian food. Based upon the reviews we chose Flora Indica. They were offering a tasting menu with wine pairing. One course was more delicious than the next. The wines were delicious. The service was attentive. Would highly recommend.
