   A busy Monday lunchtime. We were on a fairly tight schedule. The two main items we wanted from the menu were sold out and the food took half an hour to arrive once ordered. Food tastes fine but overpriced for what it was. Disappointing.

   Very disappointing. The service was poor and when the food finally arrived nearly 45 minutes after we ordered, the majority of it was cold. We also had to chase the waitresses for our drinks order and were given the response “we’re very busy today” when half the restaurant was empty. There are much better vegetarian restaurants out there with more reasonably priced dishes and tastier food.

    Huge Disappointment. Room was not neat. Waiting staff not neat nor tidy, certainly not friendly and weird. Wine was not enjoyed. Food was correct. Overall we regretted booking a table there.

    Service was very slow as they had a table of 20 just ahead of us but luckily we weren’t in a hurry and our server was very sweet at keeping us informed and our drinks topped up! As soon as the surge passed it was all fine and the food, as always amazing!! Took my non veggie wife and sister who both loved it too! Will convert them eventually!!

    As usual the flavours and presentation of our dishes were fantastic. From the tofu to the crispy cauliflower, especially. And thumbs up for service with a smile. I believe our waiter’s name was Jordan and he did a great job. All in all, a fantastic birthday lunch for my wife.

    I think because the bar has been raised across the city in vegetarian/ vegan choice, including outstanding cuisine at my local pubs, Food for Friends needs to keep pushing upwards that EVERY dish is outstanding.

    Went for graduation lunch. Excellent service and food was brilliant. Waiter even brought out a 'congratulations' chocolate plate which I want expecting. Was such a lovely touch and made the day extra special

    This was our second visit to Food For Friends and will likely be our last. The food came out quickly but was for the most part bland and tasteless, the main came out not long after we started our main course so sat on the table getting cold whilst we finished and the waitress forgot our Olives and water we ordered. We ordered a bottle of wine which was brought to the table in a bucket without any ice which completely defeats the object and the wine sat there getting warm.

    There was clearly an element of passive aggressive tension between the staff which we noticed early on and persisted throughout our meal. It was clearly a quiet period (5.15pm seating) but we had to wait way a long time for our starter which then arrived with all our mains. Our waiter sent the mains back but, after the starter, we then had to wait an agonising long period before the mains appeared and we had to badger the staff for them. The bill for our fairly small meal was 93 pds. Felt liked we paid a lot of money for a disappointing dining experience. Unlikely to go back for some time.

    I was very disappointed with our visit to Food for Friends after reading such great reviews. Perhaps there had been a chance of chef or management? The banquette we sat on was covered in crumbs and not cleaned and there were a number of things missing from the menu early in the evening. The food itself was very average - not the best vegetarian restaurant I’m afraid. The staff were however friendly, welcoming and helpful.

    Food was good but wasn’t worth the price. Service was terrible, lack of communication from staff and poor service and attention to detail from all of those waiting on that evening. Waited over half an hour for each course and just got ignored until we had to ask what was happening. We were told, on leaving that the restaurant had recently had new owners but felt that if this was communicated to us on arrival the the evening would of been a lot more pleasant.

    Service terrible. Forgot starter. Partners entire meal arrived at once with mine nowhere to be seen for another 15 minutes when both starter and main arrived together. 90 minute wait for food after ordering, not even a piece of bread. Waiters complaining about how busy they were despite the place being almost empty. Food tasteless. Go to terre a terre instead.

    A bit lacklustre, from the moment we arrived. Greeting, drinks, food, coffee, state of the bathroom - all ‘ok’. I haven’t been for a few years; this was my birthday dinner and I was disappointed.

    We had small plates which were delicious and very filling. The corn ribs were amazing and I’d recommend those. The crispy tofu and cauliflower were also two great dishes. Food Fir Friends has a great ambience, location and staff.
