Very tasty imaginative vegetarian cuisine and charming staff
Excellent welcome and service from all staff .
Creative menu . Good experience .
Excellent food and excellent service, as always! Favourite restaurant in Brighton! Many thanks to the FFF team. Zoe x
It was my second visit to the restaurant and I was very happy with the meal and the service. Would go back.
Lovely food & great service. Excellent first time here. We’ll be back!
A great lunch spot in a top spot in Brighton. Sharing platter was delicious. Good service.
Delicious vegetarian food which was perfect for sharing so we got to sample different dishes
I have always had consistently good food here. However, not this evening. The food was very average if that. We had the sharing plate which was uninspiring and certainly not worth £ 26. I also ordered a large house white wine which was served warm. I asked for a cold wine but received probably the same wine I sent back at same temperature and a glass full of ice. No sorry or explanation or offer of another wine that would be suitably chilled. Very off hand service and overall poor experience. As a Brightonian I won’t be back any time soon. Such a shame as with Terre a Terre used to be best veggie restaurant in town
Recommended by a friend and did not disappoint. I am not vegetarian myself but I found the food absolutely delicious. The service was great, our waitress was very friendly and could recommend things to do in the area. I would definitely go back. Thanks for the amazing meal!
Great food and cocktails! Great atmosphere! Very colourful dishes and so tasty! I was still quite hungry afterwards though
The food was very good in quality but overpriced for the portion size. I also felt more menu choice would have been good.
We were made to feel very welcome and a lovely Birthday surprise with a candle and goodies. Lovely will definitely be back.
A vegetarian restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. Contemporary menu and excellent service, combined with tasteful decor and ambience, make this restaurant an instant hit.
Fabulous food as always with lots of friendly chat and excellent service from our fab waiter.
Had a lovely time at Food For Friends. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and attentive. We had a great table in the window.
Food was very bland. Ordered a nice bottle of wine and ended up waited an hour and a half for our mains. We had finished the wine before we got our mains the whole experience was disappointing!
Lovely staff. Delicious food. Highly recommended.
Visited for lunch whilst on holiday, decided to have a light bite each whilst my daughter had off the children’s menu, I had the tofu Inari wraps, these were very nice however the sauce was quite spicy and did overpower the flavour of the dish a bit, my (omni) brother had the tofu gravalax, I’m not sure why as he doesn’t even like tofu and he says he didn’t really enjoy the meal (but did enjoy what he had of mine and the toddlers!). My 2 year old is a huge pasta lover and once she finally stopped jumping around decided on the linguine which she had with vegetarian bolognese, if was very tasty. She enjoyed it although picked out all the”meat” and fed it to mummy. It was so good I wish it was on the main adult menu so I could order it. Price is on the higher end but not I reasonable. Staff are all super friendly and accommodating even when a hyperactive toddler comes in and starts handing you bits of paper whilst eying up your laptop and telling you all about slides. Would visit again whilst in area.
High expectations, disappointed in the end. Great ale (blonde and dark old man) great olives; but these were not from the kitchen. We had the burger and aubergine ravioli. Burger was mediocre; fries were nice; but ravioli was a disaster drenched in tomato sauce dominating the dish. Not really a place I would recommend if you love authentic, good quality food.
The food was delicious and the waiter was very attentive and lovely. Went there for my birthday dinner, and really enjoyed the vibe of the place as well.
I had an excellent starter but found the main course to be over salted. I found the choice of food confusing....so many ingredients that I had never heard of before! Personally, I would prefer a simpler menu.....or, at least, some more straightforward options included so that there is a choice of both basic and 'fancy'. The service was excellent, however, and the waitress friendly and helpful without being patronising. The bench seats were quite uncomfortable with no lumbar support and the meals were fairly expensive. I did not enjoy the dining experience as much as I had hoped to, sadly.
In the 1980s, I knew Food for Friends as a stodgy veggie canteen for students; the transformation into today's FFF couldn't be more surprising.
It's actually become my favourite restaurant anywhere.
The food is delicious and innovative without being pretentious and I openly admit I go there to pinch ideas. Even my French, omnivorous partner was stunned as treat after treat arrived.
(The only thing French partner could find to criticise was huge picture windows which give onto the street; he said the place wouldn't last 5 minutes in the event of a zombie attack).
The place was packed, the waiters charming - precautions against the undead aside, Food for Friends is just perfect. We can't wait to come back.
We had absolutely fantastic afternoon. Food was amazing, cocktails awesome, service more than friendly and pleasant and I got a birthday treat in the end! Would recommend to everyone. Thank you food for Friends x
Delicious vegan food and attentive but not intrusive service. Wish it was nearer to where we live so we could go more often.
FFF is an excellent venue in the heart of Brighton catering for vegetarians, but the food is so good that even the meat lovers out there will have a great dining experience.
Absolutely loved this place, especially as a gluten-free vegetarian - wish I had somewhere similar near me!
Whenever I visit Brighton I book Food for Friends and have never been let down. The sharing platter was spectacular! The scotch eggs were amazing! My wife has now decided that the Mozart chocolate cocktail is officially her favourite ever drink! I love this place!
The food and service here is always fantastic. Exclusively delicious vegetarian and vegan dishes.
Food was very good, had the mixed platter as a starter for 4 which was excellent
Weekend in Brighton again and back at FF having enjoyed Dinner there before. New menu and lovely options. the croquettes and tempura aubergines were delicious starters and the vegi burger lovely. Great friendly service as well and a pleasure to enjoy our night out there. Thank you.
We always eat at FFF when we visit Brighton and although the food was amazing the service this time was really poor. 45 minutes and we were brought our starter then another 40 minutes for our platter. The person waiting eventually told us the chef was unhappy wit the quality which is what caused the delay, which we understand but then forgot our sides. We have up in the end and left paying about without a pudding or tip which we never do.
Lovely food, great choice. Really welcoming staff. Will be visiting again.
Excellent service. Great choice and variety on the menu. Beautiful flavour combinations. Sitting in a booth meant we lost the overall ambience of the restaurant. Have been before and will definitely come again.
If I could only ever go to two restaurants in the entire multiverse, F4F would have to be one of them.
Lovely meal for a friends birthday. Great service and excellent wine.
Excellent food as always, never lets us down. Brilliant sunday roast.
The staff were friendly and warm and the food is delicious and beautifully presented.
Came here in the autumn and had a delicious meal. But very disappointing second time around. What’s happened? New chef? Over-stretching themselves? Started with a table mix up. The sharing platter was fine but then - after a whole hour’s wait - the main courses were either boring (burger and sweet potato salad) or virtually inedible (open ravioli which was a huge pile of aubergine with a dark, grainy sauce dumped on top). Puddings unremarkable and we felt rushed out by then because our main had taken so long to arrive. What a shame. Won’t be back
Another wonderful meal at FFF. Took some relatives who are vegan who thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Slight hiccup with our mains coming out a little late but was quickly rectified and gave us free puddings all round-can't say fairer than that. Didn't affect what was a lovely meal and evening with wonderful staff. Will be back again very soon.
The food is so tasty and varied, the staff are amazing and ambience spot on.
I am a meat eater ( my partner is veggie) and it’s our favourite in Brighton, for all the reasons above. Maddy, Rob and all the staff are great and menu superb ...
Thank you ❤️... love Donna & Steve xx
