For a non vegetarian I had back up plans to go and have a burger after dining at this restaurants as it was my first time ever being to a full vegetarian/Vegan restaurant! But I was surprised that I left the restaurant feeling so full and satisfied and that the food without meat can taste so good and filling!
Great fresh food and very friendly service
We all enjoyed our meals, the only problem being that both my offspring found the dishes very filling, so that they couldn't finish their main courses and I was the only one able to enjoy a pudding (vegan cheescake, very nice). Also there weren't quite as many menu choices as perhaps there could have been, in order to tempt us back.
As a vegan I am happy fff exists! Nice food and lovely staff. The consistency of the sevive is really poor though, I have noticed it every time I have come. Lots of different waitresss, No-one clearing dirty dishes, no attention to drinks being needed, no desert menu offered etc. It ruins things a little as you are constantly looking to catch someone’s eye!! But I like it here and maybe that’s just their style.. so I will always return when in Brighton and recommend it!
Had a lovely meal here on Saturday evening. Great to be able to eat anything on the menu. Food arrived very quickly and was lovely and fresh. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Would come back again.
Lovely interior in a great location in Brighton. Would prefer more options on the main courses. Service could have been better, not as friendly and welcoming as I expected. I would not make a special effort to go again as I did for this visit.
My first visit to a vegetarian restaurant with my two grown up son's. I was amazed the ambiance and welcome were excellent the waiting staff fun courteous and very friendly. The food was quite simply amazing visual appeal and fantastic flavours all combined to give a really very enjoyable dining experience. well done we will be back.
Always lovely food and friendly staff! We are finding it difficult to get beyond the sharing platter - The scotch eggs are sublime! Who'd have thought a scotch egg would be so delicious!
Good vegetarian restaurant. Plenty of flavour on the food and comfortable place. Service average but acceptable.
Our favourite vegetarian restaurant
Overall, I was very pleased with the service, the food and the friendliness of everyone. We will stop by again.
Lovely as always!! Amazing food! Lovely waitresses.
All that could be improved is the communication on arrival.
Many told to wait for table in small waiting area - would have been nice touch to offer us a drink.
The most incredible food my partner and I have had in a very long time! A very special way to celebrate our anniversary! The staff went above and beyond to make our dining experience a memorable one. Never been to Brighton but we will sure be returning just to dine here again!
This long-established vegetarian restaurant is much changed from the buffet-style eating place I first went to in the eighties!! It has expanded since then but isn't big so booking is a good idea. The food is lovely - everything we had was so tasty and beautifully presented - and very filling. My friends and I had met to celebrate a birthday - this was acknowledged with complementary chocolate truffles which were delicious! Service was very good but we did not feel rushed.
Overall ... a very pleasant experience and I shall return!
I've enjoyed this restaurant previously but this meal was disappointing, bland, under-seasoned, unpleasant textures. They seem to be dropping their standards - big shame.
Really disapointing. Coasting on an old reputation, maybe? Not helped by being sat by an open patio door directly opposite a pub full of revellers & a few police cars. Cocktail was amazing, starter was fine but average, main was better but still average, both meals had the ingredients I was looking forward to (pomegranate & goats cheese) in stingy, barely there proportions. I'd heard the desserts were great, but we got out of there as soon as we could & won't be going back.
Staff were all making an effort to be nice, but were clearly harried & stressed. I didn't get the impression it was a nice place to work.
Delicious food, divine cocktails and lovely service.
Very friendly service, nice touch with a small platter of complimentary nuts. Had the avocado and halloumi salad and sticky toffee pudding- loved them.
Delicious vegan food and great service. We had a great time, have been before and will go again!
The restaurant was very busy, which meant we had to wait a little for our table we had booked. It did take a little too long for anyone to acknowledge us. We ordered drinks and nibbles to start but our mains came out whilst we were still eating the nibbles which felt very rushed.
Fantastic service and lovely atmosphere. The place was packed (weds evening) so reservation recommended. I had two small plates and my daughter had one large plate. All the food was really tasty and it was great to have a choice of vegetarian food.
We also managed to fit in a yummy pudding.
Drinks were expensive though.
Excellent creative vegetarian food - presentation was great and food really tasty. Service was excellent too - will return!
Went here for husbands’ birthday. All was good apart from my middle eastern salad which didn’t live up to expectations or the style and flavours of the other dishes.
However, free bubbly and truffles for my husbands’ birthday were a lovely surprise.
Prices are the same as the other top veggie restaurant in Brighton but unfortunately for taste and panache they don’t quite compete which makes them seem overpriced.
Really lovely meal and the service was great. The only thing was the sticky toffee pudding had too much cinnamon. As I hate this I think it should have been included on the menu description. I couldn’t eat any more which was disappointing after paying £7 for dessert.
A bit disappointed by the service. Waiteresses not extremely friendly, food was good though.
A good place with good food. People nice. Wine list fine. A good place to go for a veggie meal in Brighton.
Second visit. Just as good as the first. An excellent menu and drinks list. All four meals were top quality. Service was very good. Overall, a great night and a highly recommended venue.
Loved it! Amazing food. Good size portions. As a vegetarian it’s just great to find a place that offers mouth-watering choices that isn’t the usual pasta, pizza or falafel options.
Lovely venue let down by quality of food served: an inedible main-course salad (charged at £13+) ordered for lunch, which comprised a whole bag of basic lettuce/iceberg leaves (£1 from Tesco) and (bag of pre-prepared/frozen?) cubed sweet potato smothered in oil and sauce. Must try harder.
Being a non vegetarian I found the food very tasty and well presented. The aubergine and courgette curry
was excellent, full of flavour and not shy of spices. The sticky toffee pudding was one of of the best I’ve tasted.
I wanted to treat my sister, who is vegetarian, before her return to Australia. It was a fantastic choice: very welcoming and great food, making it a memorable visit. I’ll be back.
We went to food for friends to celebrate our anniversary. Food was fantastic and reasonably priced, service was great and the atmosphere was perfect for a quiet romantic meal.
Brilliant as always. Great food, great service great wine selection. One of my favourite places to go. I'm not veggie either.
I’m always so impressed eating at Food for friends. It ticks every box being a vegetarian!
Excellent food, well presented. Good service. Highly recommended.
Friendly greeting. Seated as soon as we all arrived. Nice location of table. Waitress attentive to our needs. We all love everything about the time there.
Food amazing, we reached restaurant at busiest time, shortage of menus however staff worked round this. Atmosphere friendly. Great visit
We were staying in the area for a few days & I pre-booked a meal here for my partner who is a vegetarian. I’m not a vegetarian but we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals & found the service to be exceptional.
Recommended to dine here by a local when looking for some good vegetarian choices for one of our group. Menu is 100% vegetarian and very delicious - recommend the sharing plate.
Once again FFF didn't let us down. A great Sunday lunch for two (we went for the Sunday Roast). FFF is a lovely place to dine and people watch. The food itself is so flavoursome and always good portions. I like the fact they periodically change some of their most popular dishes, which shows how confident they are that you'll still enjoy the dish. Staff service is always good, they are so nice when you show up and the waiters and waitresses always check your happy with the food. We'll be looking forward to visiting again for my Wife's birthday.
