Me and my son do the meet up and have dinner somewhere nice and this time we chose the ivy Glasgow restaurant , were just a couple of people who live on a council estate and do this as a treat, although I have eaten here before my son hasn't, at first he was a bit intimidated but our waiter soon made us feel welcome and at ease ( I was the person who called the london one the stuck up brigade and deservedly so ) I had the peppered squid and my son the crab avocado for starters which was presented stunningly but more importantly it tasted stunning, I had the fillet of beef and my son the sirloin along with some sides, both of us like it medium rare, I have had many steaks at different restaurants over the years and this is only the 2nd time it has been cooked to perfection, normally its just slight over but not this time it was again stunning, then it was desert time I had the chocolate bomb and my son the birthday platter thing, our waiter really sorry its not that you didn't make a good impression its that I'm just bad with names, he did come from Normandy in France if that helps 😁 to say I had a bit of fun singing happy birthday to my son even though it wasn't his birthday and our waiter giving him a birthday card and saying happy 25th birthday to which I replied you mean 25 again 🤣🤣🤣🤣 it was again stunning, I can't say thank you enough for they way we where treated and looked after from the minute we arrived to the minute we left, I for one will be back and my son is making plans to go back with his wife sometime soon if that isn't enough of a compliment then I don't know what is , stunning venue even better food and impeccable service 😀 thank you so much for a wonderful visit to your restaurant, as for the stuck up brigade in London ( I was born in London ) you might wanna visit your glasgow restaurant to see how it should be done, thank you again 😁😁😁😁

Really really enjoyed our time here for my girlfriend's birthday. Good welcome and loved the ambience of the place. The food was brilliant but the night was made by the excellent service, our waitress was fantastic - really attentive and friendly and knew the menu well. I've had so many bad experiences with service of late that this was a really nice refreshing change. Thank you.
