Small menu, but the food quality and service was superb.
If you like fish, this is the perfect restaurant for you.
The salmon is absolutely delicious!
Excellent food - excellent service - wonderful experience would definitely recommend
Great lunch, fantastic food in a lovely setting
Was very much looking forward to our meal with friends. The restaurant looked beautiful and we received a window seat as required. The starters were delicious, 3 having salmon, generous portions and beautifully presented. The main was disappointing as two required monkfish which looked lovely but couldn’t be cut, it was like rubber. The waiter did take them away but we overheard them saying that this wasn’t the first time that the monkfish had been returned due to the same reason. Shouldn’t happen twice. One diner didn’t really-order and one did with turkey which was delicious but as the other diners had finished it was not nice dining alone. The two meals and replacement weren’t charged, neither were the tea and coffees so there were no further problems. Don’t think we would rerun though.
Top value, quality of food as well as service - which was very good and faultless. We will return.👍😊😩
Excellent food and friendly service. We will be back!
The food is delicious, especially the speciality salmon. The service was great and the view over the canal is fun, especially after dark.
Very good, a little slow at first but best meal
It was our first visit to the restaurant and have to say it ticked all the boxes. Great food well prepared and presented and by very attentive staff. The restaurant has a really nice airy feel and felt comfortable and relaxed and great for conversation. We will be back without a doubt.
Great food and nice setting, staff were friendly and knowledgeable with a good sense of humour, will definitely go back.
I absolutely love Formans. It may be in the middle of nowhere but that's the treat. Went on Saturday night, service was attentive and courteous, food as ever was marvellous and the restaurant is so comfortable, spacious and elegant. It really is my favourite restaurant and worth a journey in from Kent.
Great ambiance. Delicious food served with care and talent.
My First visit to Foreman’s, service was of a high standard, fantastic wine selection, of UK wines waitress, was very helpful
Food was of a high quality too
Fabulous. Best smoked salmon in London.
Outstanding fish - especially the starter with a range of differently prepared salmons - and very friendly service
Lovely food and the service is always great. Different but extremely good wine menu, all English wines, superb.
Very tasty and fresh food. We had a very good evening at Forman's. Maybe a bit quiet and intimidating at start but the staff is very friendly.
Very nice place to go. The view of the stadium isn’t as good as it used to be but the restaurant itself still great. Lovely service with great food!
It's kind of in the middle of nowhere and not close to the tube, this certainly drives away a lot of potential customers coming from afar.
But if you're in East is a must try place - fish is to die for an reasonably priced.
Nice restaurant in out of the way location. Food good but could have been hotter. I know food shouldn’t be served piping hot for tasting reasons however all four of our mains were warm. Still tasty though. Unfortunately there were a couple of items we ordered were not available which was a shame. Staff very nice.
Great service, generous portions, good value for money!
My first time at Forman's - I had the pleasure of dining with my parents for a Sunday Lunch. The Portion sizes were excellent. And the food was so fresh. The Salmon was exceptional and I loved the large selection of English wines and local beers. This is a restaurant worthy of your attention.
Very good quality of food, the staff is very polite.
Two of my party were running late but the staff kept the kitchen open until they arrived.
That was great customer service!!
Fantastic food and service.
Would definitely recommend this exceptional restaurant, friendly staff and delicious food.
Loved it. Amazing food and lovely wine in a lovely environment. Service was attentive and friendly
Nice venue. Difficult to access restaurant for those with any disablement as there are a lot of stairs up to the restaurant.
Food was very good although a little expensive.
Choice on Sunday lunch menu was not that great.
Very hot in the restaurant as windows open defeated the air conditioning.
Outside on lower terrace was a bit shabby as sun blind was broken/missing.
View of Olympic Park has been lost since it was first built as there’s now a nondescript building on opposite side of river spoiling the view.
Great service from the staff and made to feel most welcome.
Very few customers (about 16), but maybe this was due to the very hot day or summer hols. I would imagine if this level of customers was the norm, it may struggle though.
I strongly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion. The Food, Service and friendly of the staff made for a wonderful Lunch. The quality of food is outstanding. I shall definitely be returning.
Excellent food great service fantastic welcome brilliant staff looking forward to our next visit !!!
Friendly and helpful staff. Food was good except for steamed pudding which wasn't cooked. I should have complained but by then the wine and birthday cheer had taken their toll and I didnt want to end on a winge. I would recommend with some reservations.
Visited for Saturday brunch, received a warm and friendly welcome. Food was excellent and salmon delicious. Looking forward to visiting again.
Wonderful food, the main could have been a little warmer, but beautifully cooked. Service was great. Could do with better signage to find it, slightly remote location.
The restaurant is an airy, open space, a mix of modern and homely and surprising in the area in which it stands. The service was smooth, efficient yet unobtrusive. The food was exceptional. The London-cure smoked salmon was probably the best I've ever tasted and made a delightful start to the meal. My wife and I both opted for the turbot for the main course. Turbot is rightly known as one of the best fish and it was cooked to perfection. Three beautiful pieces of fish, each served on a portion of creamy mashed potato and accompanied by clams and perfectly cooked scallops. For dessert I had the banana and cream tart with coconut ice cream which was delightful.
What a delight to find a restaurant which only serves English wines. We had a fresh sauvignon blanc type from Kent which was a great accompaniment to the meal.
All in all, a truly memorable evening to celebrate my wife's birthday. She considered it one of the best meals ever. I agreed with her and thought that it was also excellent value for money.
Absolutely lovely experience, the staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was beautifully fresh .
Would love to visit again next time I’m in London .
We love it at Formans, the food and service are excellent, as is the restaurant location overlooking the River Lea Navigation. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Service was very attentive and efficient however we were surprised that our elderly uncle could not be served some simple dishes which appeared on the menu (mash potato and fish fingers) this was very inflexible and not customer focussed. The menu was seriously under-described in respect of ingredients used - no allergy advice for example. Overall we enjoyed it but it could have been much better and we were lucky that some of the dishes did not contain cheese or shellfish.
Lovely restaurant with nice staff and an interesting menu. I had the black pudding brunch which was excellent.
