Lovely outdoor tented area with wonderful heaters. Food and service were both excellent.
Pasta dishes were al dente and the ingredients so fresh including the clams and scallops.
Great food every time!
Food was fantastic! Each bite had a rustic elegant flavor! Enjoyed the butternut gnocchi, the seafood linguine and shrimp, white bean artichoke. Server was great company!
The service and food were fantastic! I will definitely be going back.
I made a reservation here only to be seated 30 minutes after my reservation time. When I asked about the wait, the crass host laughed and said he couldn’t do anything if the people seated wanted to stay. A group of people came to the host stand and were told they were “VIP” and were seated at the same time we were. Terrible service experience, will not be returning.
I booked with the open table app the morning we were coming into town. I was so happy they had a reservation for us being prime foliage weekend. We arrived to have a short 15 min. wait. The ambiance was beautiful with the outside heated patio. It was perfect. The wait staff was so pleasant and sweet. I had the Smoking Boulvadier cocktail and it was worth it! My husband had the Apple Old Fashion and that was delicious too!! We started with the most delicious roasted Brussels sprouts with bacon and an egg. I would never put those together, but again it was amazing! The ceaser salad was authentic with full size anchovies. My Volgole dish was seasoned and cooked perfectly. My husband, who is not a fan of Italian food loved his Pollo Panato. From start to finish we were very impressed, and we will definitely be referring and hopefully visiting this restaurant again in the future.
Best meal of my weekend!!
Love the atmosphere sitting on the front porch. Service was very good, sweet waitress.
Have not been excited about the food the last two times wev'e been there. Menu needs to be updated. choices are okay but nothing to get excited about.
Made last minute reservation and they were very accommondating. Great service and delicious food.
Sitting on a heated porch- when it’s freezing isn’t a comfortable dinner. Our reservation was at 7:45 and we checked in at 7:40. Which didn’t matter as others who were waiting for a table were seated before us. We got our table, outside, at 8:15. I mentioned a table inside to maybe take off my coat- and if “we didn’t mind waiting maybe 10 or 15 minutes” we could get one. After already waiting a half hour outside without heater- I said no thank you. Our server was Nelson and he was awesome! Attentive, quick with any requests and drink refills! And even let me sneak the check to treat my husband for once. Had it not been for his phenomenal service, I promise I wouldn’t go back. And lastly, while I was inside paying and told my husband I went to the bathroom- I came back out to my dinner GONE. Not boxed up. Just assumed I was done and the other half of my pizza I was actually enjoying was cleared. I cried and just wanted to get the hell out of there. One of the worst experiences I’ve had in my years in Saratoga.
Great dinner, love the ambiance too. Can't wait to go again.
Lasagna was cold and I sent it back. My wife’s food was great!
Good, solid food and our server Steve, was excellent. Prices were great, thanks for the great meal
We had made a reservation for 7:30 and it did not specify that there would be outdoor seating. A couple showed up after we checked in for our reservation and had a 7:30 as well. They were taken in, sat down inside and we were then called and seated outside. While they had plastic sheathing up, the heater we sat near was broken and did not put out enough heat to keep us warm. We sat there for approximately 10-15 minutes without having a drink or any service. Our waiter seemed to be avoiding us at all cost, however he was very nice. We finally had someone come over and take drink overs and offer bread. From there our waiter would walk past our table and service others without even asking how we were doing or if anything else was needed. We order calamari as appetizer and that came out borderline cold (not a great start and had to ask for bread a second time). Meals came out terrific! But then again, had to wait another 20 minutes before they came over to ask how everything was and if we needed anything else. We had to ask for dessert menus, then coffee came out (half way filled and not even hot) 15 mins before dessert. To sum it all up, we were happy with the main course, however everything else really wasn't worth the $130 spent plus 30 mins there and back.
Food came out undercooked and cold. Calamari and the pizza I ordered which I sent back to the kitchen to be reheated. Then it came back burned. Our waitress was rushed and inattentive
Service awesome... Cold food, and drinks only 1/2 full. Didn’t want to complain... never know how it will turn out in the kitchen after a complaint. Service was 100%
We have always a great experience so maybe we were really excited. Even with reservations, we sat on the patio, which got pretty cold. Our sever was good but I think he was busy inside. My meal was good but I’ve had it before and it was better then.
We WILL go back but I just wanted to be honest.
This was not our first visit to Forno. The gnocchi was so bland and thank goodness for the charring on the steak as that was the only flavor !! It was very disappointing and will think hard about going back for another meal there.
Overall good, but it was not very busy, Tuesday night 5pm, yet the waiter just kept walking by without taking our order, I say an hour went by and we had to call over someone to get our waiter to take our order. They dont tell you the price of specials, 2 pasta dishes, one appetizer to split and 1 bottle of wine was $125 kinda crazy
Great dinner for my mother’s birthday! We come here annually for her birthday and as always the food was fantastic and the service was phenomenal! Our waiter was fantastic and his attentive to my family was impeccable! Thanks again for another fantastic night out! We will surely be back soon!
It was “fine,” frankly underwhelming. Quality of food was subpar (reheated, perhaps?). Appetizers were good (rice balls, cheese bread). Pulpo, Gamberi and several pasta dishes were highly disappointing (the pics online are deceiving). Meal is OK for a random Tuesday evening if you don’t want to cook and have low expectations - certainly not a meal to have on a special occasion. Pizza takeout might be a better option. Had higher expectations, I must admit. Definitely better choices in town. I seldom write reviews, but in this case, felt compelled to warn anyone who may be thinking of booking this venue. Reconsider; particularly for a “special” event.
Nice rustic italian food. Been there many times but this is my first covid era jaunt. Place is made for this. Beautiful patio and spacious indoor area.
Excellent service, and the food was wonderful.
We had a party of 8 and everyone was extremely pleased with their meals.
Got sat out on the patio it was under the heating lamp but it was still quite cold, food was okay I was expecting better but all in all a good place. Wanted a better experience for our 5 year anniversary.
Outstanding! Great food and outdoor seating. We were in town for the weekend. The temp was in the low 50s. The heaters and protection made for a pleasant outdoor experience with awesome pasta and salads! Great wine selection, too!
Excellent food n service Safety was very evident n adhered to
It was a fantastic evening and our server was tremendous and so patient. The staff did a great job and unfortunately it was the customers that were the issue. Some people have no idea how hard this has been on businesses and the fact that the staff remains professional and kind even when customers don’t understand why they can’t stand at the bar and be in everybody’s way made it worth going out. We absolutely appreciate you and love that we could return to our favorite place for a delicious meal ! Thank you for all that you do!
Made reservations for 730pm, but did not get seated until 820pm. Got seated in an outdoor tented area, but was 47degrees out and too cold for a night in a somewhat heated tent. Very drafty and didn’t know they had outdoor seating still or we would have dressed for it. Maybe give the customer the option during making reservations for indoor vs. outdoor table? After being seated almost an hour later, drinks took another 20 min to come and food didn’t come out until after 9pm. Food was good, but not worth the wait. Disappointed.
Delicious pizza and great service.
Great food, great service!
As always, great service and great food. One of our favorite places to go!
We visit Saratoga A few times a year, Forno Bistro i always on our must do list while we are in town!!
We met friends who we hadn’t seen in a while. Greeted and seated promptly. Waitress was great recommending frequently ordered dishes as this was our first time there. Antipasto platter was very good along with the linguine Vongole and seafood fra Diablo. I’d definitely go back.
Great service and experience!
Outdoor tables are very small. Good for drinks, but too small for dinners.
As always a superb meal and great service!! Tough to beat the Forno!!!
Well spaced out tables made me feel comfortable during covid. Server was very nice and food was delicious.
Beautiful atmosphere, great food and excellent service.
We arrived a few minutes before our reservation time of 5PM. We sat outside until the table was ready. We requested to sit on the patio which is beautiful-however the noise level from Broadway (semi trucks, motorcycles, buses) was distracting. Our waiter Steve was fantastic - attentive and very informed. The food was amazing our party of 3 all had seafood pasta dishes (2 sea scallop/shrimp specials and 1 fruti di mare). Not a complaint but pet peeve - why don’t restaurants remove the tail from the shrimp before cooking???
