We LOVED it! Our food was good! Our waitress Heather was amazing and staff was incredibly friendly! This will be a new favorite spot!
Really Good time. Broccoli Fritters were outstanding and the Arugula Capellini was also delicious. Saturday is half price bottle of wine night as well.
Enjoyed the visit to Forno.
The small menu of meals was nice, would have preferred a broader choice of salads. What we had was very good, nice meal. Beautiful setting, location of west side was quiet without the theatres in business.
Really good. Food was outstanding and the service was as well. Really enjoyed the wine also.
We had a 10+ outdoor party this past weekend and we really enjoyed ourselves! Our server Kyle was awesome and so was another woman staff member who was helping him out with drink refills(don’t recall her name)! Everyone was friendly and very accommodating even when I was on the phone with the hostess setting up the reservation! The outdoor space was soooo cute with the lights and the decor, it was overall very inviting, spacious and comfortable!
We had brunch but will definitely be back for dinner! Especially since they will be installing heaters soon! Definitely a place to check out!
Great time. Ate outside. I was very comfortable. Food was outstanding and good value. I will be back.
We had a great experience from start to finish. Wonderful food and wine and excellent service! Also half priced bottles made it even better. A safe place to dine out during Covid.
Out for dinner and drinks with friends and colleagues from the medical center for two of our birthdays. Food was exceptional as always, but service and just overall generosity and smiles of all the staff made the experience. Thank you all so very much! Will be back soon.
Warm and friendly staff, excellent food and lovely decor. Our favorite restaurant in town!
Always awesome here! Service is always fantastic and food is great!
One of Baltimore's gems. Must support it during these difficult times.
The calamari, and this is not hyperbole, is the best we have had anyplace.
This was a really off night. Very few diners. Coronavirus problems. Service was very slow, my menu choice was not good (lasagna—sauce overwhelming.). Others at the table wer3 pleased with their choices. We dine there fairly frequently and this was clearly not representative of our usual experience.
Food looked nothing like the pictures. Didn’t taste fresh or authentic. Service was good and drinks were good but probably won’t return unless it’s just to sit at the bar
Excellent service and the Farmers' Pizza was delicious!
Kept swatting at flies. Food was meh. Server was either high or just very disinterested in being there
Most of food was very good, drinks were kicking!
The beet salad was very salty!!! Service was timely and good!
Great place for happy hour or before a show. We would definitely go back.
Food is always great and the staff is always awesome!
We had a wonderful evening at Forno. The waitress who worked with us was delightful and helpful. The food was really interestingly prepared and delicious. Service was quick, but we didn't feel rushed. Overall a wonderful experience.
Lasagna was too sweet and too spicy for my taste, but was served very hot, which is great.
Eggplant was novel and delicious. Wine is expensive.
We arrived at 5:15 and were promptly seated. The service was slow because our waitress was overworked. A number of the menu items were not available and when we got our food, all of the different pastas were served with spaghetti instead of the pasta ordered. I sent mine back.
I usually love this place but Sunday was an extreme disappointment.
Food was tasteless, very long, hard to talk and service was show
Nice waiter, great dinner!
I have been to this restaurant several times and the food was very good, as always. However, the service was significantly lacking on this occasion. We sat without water for ~20 minutes after asking for refills. We didn’t even bother to order other drinks, as many tables around us weren’t getting those in a timely manner either.
Took my daughter to see Wicked at the Hippodrome, and decided to make a reservation at Forno before the show. That was a mistake. The experience was awful from start to finish.
Booked a reservation through OpenTable and the restaurant couldn't locate our reservation even though I could show them the active reservation on my app. Personally I think they just gave the table away to someone else. Seated my daughter and I at a side bar which still had dirty glasses at it from the previous party. These glasses were NEVER cleared and stayed there for our entire meal.
As far as i can tell no server was assigned to our table. Certainly no one was notified that a party had been seated there. After about 15 minutes eventually someone noticed my daughter and I sitting there and came over to ask if someone had taken care of us. He did take our order and agreed to help us out, but it didn't seem like this was supposed to be his table because he was clearly too busy with his other tables. I appreciate very much that he came over to help us though.
Food was mediocre and the whole experience was rushed, since it was 30 minutes later than it should have been before anyone took our order. We should have walked down the street to Panera bread, it would have been much better. I won't be back.
Food was excellent but service left a lot to be desired
The food was very good with some interesting things I had not seen in other Italian restaurants.
Went to Forno because we had tickets to a show at the Hippodrome and it was convenient. The wait staff were overwhelmed and forgetful, the food was horrendous, and there were fruit flies EVERYWHERE. We ordered simple pasta dishes - spaghetti with butter and Parmesan cheese - for the kids and it was inedible. The pasta and/or butter was so salty it hurt your lips. Cheese pizza was OK- one came out good and one came out only half cooked. Totally bizarre. Would never go back.
We ate here before a show at the Hippodrome, like everyone else it seems. The menu has limited options for someone looking for a decently healthy meal. My husband got the steak caesar, which is just sad looking. I got the salmon and a side of brussels sprouts. Everything just reminded me of a more expensive TGI Friday's.
The wine selection was good, and it's nice they offer half glasses or full glasses. Other than that, I would definitely not be back.
First time, we will be back!
Thanks
Great spot for dinner before the theater. Solid wine list, good pizza, entrees, and appetizers. Outstanding Tiramisu brownie to top it off.
This is a perfect place for a pre-show or after-show theatre event at the Hippodrome. The menu has a large variety of unique food. The host was so very pleasant. The bartender, Heather, made such an outstanding Bloody Mary - the best I have ever had. Once seated, the service, Kyle, was very professional, assisted with informing of ingredients of meals, and exceptionally pleasant. He was timely from the water and drink order, to checking on our status and enjoyment of the meals. Both Heather and Kyle should be commended on their service.
It was a nice place - food is a bit expensive - but everything we had was good. The waiter was a little clumsy and broke a glass full of water at the table - and wasn’t all that apologetic, but otherwise everything was fine. It is a very convenient place to dine, if you are going to the Hippodrome - which is literally right across the street.
Our service was very good and we were even seated earlier than our actual reservation. We mentioned that we had tickets to a show and they made sure we wouldn’t have to rush. The meatballs, 4-cheese pizza, and fries were good but unfortunately, our pasta dish was nearly inedible. The broth was much spicier than expected but was also somehow not that flavorful. The small amount of pasta clumped together and although there were about a dozen clamshells in the bowl, we found just 3 actual clams. I definitely will stick to pizza the next time.
The food was fantastic. The service was almost questionable (they were much slower than I anticipated), but it got much better towards the end. I only ranked it slightly low because my friend and I caught something dark scurry along the floor. I would have thought it was a shadow or my mind playing tricks on me if my friend did not see it as well. It happened so fast! I never confirmed what it was nor saw it again. It could have been a napkin for all we know... but we are not sure. I would still recommend. It was delicious and a nice vibe.
Had a great meal before catching a show at the hippodrome. Cute spot, great service, and delicious pizza! This was a return visit for us.
Another outstanding Forno experience! We eat here as often as possible before shows at the Hippodrome Theater and are always happy with our choice!
Valentines weekend
Waiter ignored us for other tables. Tables that ordered after us (by 20 minutes) got food first. When our came out it was burnt and cold. Waiter never asked us if we wanted refills. Worst experience there ever and we come (well used to) come for brunch before every show the past 3 years (we are season subscribers).
Always a treat. We are usually here for brunch. Enjoyed the nice range of options, the very good service, and the generous wine pours.
