Very disappointing service. Excellent food. Had to ask repeatedly for things from the server. Neglectful and far below the usual F&M experience. No attention to detail by staff, unlike last week.

Amazing afternoon tea! The staff were all very nice and knowledgeable. The food was delicious and we were told to order as much as we'd like. The tea selection was also fantastic, and they let us order different kinds of tea.

Lovely space, but clearly they know they’ll be busy with tourists no matter what, and don’t need to try too hand. The food was ok but not fabulous, and for an afternoon tea that costs $100 for one (including automatic service fee), it simply isn’t good enough.
The service was a bit uncoordinated and not at all professional, which further prevented it from feeling like a special treat.
Disappointed.

A very good experience~ The most thing I want to recommend is its service! I am a fresher in London, so I had no idea about how to enjoy the whole procedures (even the process in ordering menu is also a mass for me ) The waiters there are pretty nice and patient in introducing and waiting for my order.
When it comes to the food, I feel it is local and reasonable. But I think the taste of the tea is okay but not very good (presumably because I can not get used to the new taste or because I am from China and also have a huge experience in having Kongfu tea) But I think it is worth totally~

I have to say this was disappointing. We paid £120 for a very simple afternoon tea in a bland room that had no real atmosphere to speak of. The staff were hurried and distracted which gave us the impression they were understaffed and stressed. The food was good, not amazing, this was not comparable with The Ritz in any way other than expense. We were not treated like valued customers in any real way or offered anything after our meal dispite (some) of those around us who were given entire cakes to take home which seemed slightly "unfair". My wife and I have had several superior experiences of afternoon teas in London and this was quite forgettable.

First time visit in London and was so excited to experience High Tea. We selected Fortnum and Mason because it came highly recommend by a friend but we were very disappointed with the service. Our server was rude and he seems annoyed if it took us some time to decide what to get. It should have been easier if he explained or gave us recommendations since this is our first time. We have to call him to ask for refill of the food and tea. Good service for me is that you anticipate what your customers need. Food and teas are ok... nothing special.

Nice open waiting area. We were early for the appointment but was shown the table promptly.

Lovely and genuine service by a lady named ‘Audi’ (apologies might have spelt her name wrong). She explained the menu and addressed our queries patiently. She also came by frequently and asked if we need anything else and make sure we are okay. We were also rushing to watch a musical and she did her best to expedite our orders which we were very appreciate of.

The tea spread is of course wonderful and marvelous! Afternoon Tea, High Tea and Savoury to choose from and most of them are ‘refillable’ if you are up for more! The scones are to die for!!!!!

Wonderful and worth the visit!!!

Attentive service and a fantastically creative vegan menu made afternoon tea with a friend an enormous treat. This was for a celebration and though it isn't cheap, there was a lot of added value, with no stinting on anything extra that was asked for and a lovely bag of treats to take away.

Would highly recommend this for a special occasion with a special person.

If you’re in London, this is a great place for an afternoon tea. It’s very filling, and there are a couple of options—afternoon tea, vegetarian, savory, and high. I’ve never had the high tea which features more food options, but honestly, I don’t think you need more. The other three are very filling, and refills on tea and food are available on request, so you’re sure to leave satisfied. And when you’re finished, you can tour the store and take some Fortnum and Mason home.

Afternoon tea booked for a birthday. Its good but not wonderful. Its fairly expensive and I think the experience depends on serving staff. I found our service to be a little rushed. When outlining what each savoury dish was it was rather hurried and because the waiter was speaking so fast it was hard to remember what each item was. Had to ask for more tea rather than it be offered. Seem to try and have to sell the black teas? Some people took home some items but we were not asked if we would like to. So I think overall a bit hit and miss depending on staff. Its a nice thing to do but wasn't blown away.

This is an awesome place to have afternoon tea. The only reason I give the food 4-stars is because of the desserts. I got the vegetarian afternoon tea. The desserts felt like they were vegan which wouldn't be bad but I bake vegan desserts myself and I feel like my desserts would of been better. The scones and sandwiches were very delicious. This is the second time I've come here and it never disappoints. The service and atmosphere are high above other afternoon teas. I would easily recommend this place to anyone looking for a great time.

The afternoon tea at Fortnum and Mason was very good but overall the experience was let down somewhat by the relatively poor service. This detracted significantly from the value for money. The sandwiches also appeared to have been prepared earlier. Good but could do with some work. For reference, see the Langham.

Had an amazing afternoon tea in the Jubilee Tea room. The food and presentation was delightful and the service was first class. Our waitress couldn’t do enough for us (sorry I forgot her name) and the head waiter Adam was fantastic! He has a brilliant knowledge of the tea products on offer and was a great host. Thank you for a lovely afternoon tea experience!!

From the moment I stepped into the tea salon I felt like the staff didn’t want to be there. The ladies in the front desk were not interested and just sent us to sit in the corner and wait for the table. The lady that took us to the table had an attitude problem and again looked as if she didn’t want to be there. The teapot and cups were extremely used looking which didn’t really fit with the ambiance of the restaurant. The cakes were dry like they had been sat out for a long time. The only thing that I really enjoyed was the camomile and bee pollen tea. That was beautiful and I really wanted to purchase some from the store but was sold out.
