Frank the manager was very kind !
But... I am disapointed about one thing... :
I came very often to F&M Jubilee but I am disapointed about the new price. £60.00 for the same menu and no newness or additional options. The last price was correct (£45.00). This one is too expansive. I will find a new tea salon for my next venue...
The service was unfortunately horrible. My first experience was amazing here. This was my friend’s first time experiencing afternoon tea. We had 4 different servers, there was No one consistent. My friend and I ordered a refill of sandwiches and did not come until a half hour later until we asked a different waiter and when we finally got our refill of sandwiches we i it got one of each type of sandwich even though there was two of us.
This spoiled my friend’s first experience of afternoon tea.
The venue, food and service was brilliant. Will definitely be back. Our waiter Chris couldn’t have done enough for us.
The only negative was the Maitre d’ when we arrived. He was particularly unhelpful and rude. He seemed completely uninterested and had minimal people skills.
Service was erratic Ambience grand First teapot luke warm Why not leave water jug on the table rather than trapsing back & forth
Love the crockery! Very expensive and nothing special from other afternoon tea in the city! Service polite and correct but very slow. Very confusing and significantly wrong when the bill arrived!
It’s a great spot for afternoon tea but overall it was very noisy and the waiting staff were not attentive at all - we had to repeatedly keep asking for basic cutlery that was missing - Dominico Gradia who was the tea connoisseur is what made the experience.
The High tea was okay and the Savoury Afternoon tea wasn’t worth it. If I was to go back again I would stick to the traditional Afternoon tea option. Overall it was a good experience but not memorable enough to rush back
My friend and I first went to Fortnum’s for afternoon a few years ago and had a lovely time, my favourite afternoon tea in London. We returned expecting it to be just as good but were left disappointed. The service, although pleasant, was a little haphazard with our server disappearing for a while before she reappeared - we had to try hard to get noticed to get some tea. Some of the sandwiches were a little stale and the two tiny scones rock hard.
All in all disappointing. The setting is lovely but came away feeling bit let down after such an exceptional first visit. Next time I’ll be looking at one of the hotels such as the Dorchester.
Overall my husband and I had a great experience here. It was our first trip to London and visiting here made for a memorable experience. My husband actually enjoyed tea for the first time in his life!
Unfortunately we had a waiter that appeared to be new in his position. My husband did not get the correct entree . Sandwiches were sent to the table as he waited for his beef to be prepared. We had ordered extra scones and they did not come until we were leaving so ended up having them boxed.
Beautiful setting and that’s where it ends - far too disorganized and the staff seem stressed which takes the joy of being there. The food is sub par. Good one off experience but. Ever to be repeated
The food was excellent and the service was first rate. The atmosphere really added to the whole Afternoon Tea experience. They gentleman playing piano is extremely talented and it felt like an indulgent afternoon.
Marianne was our server. She was a jewel! Fantastic experience.
Lovely experience. The dining room is beautiful, the food is delightful. We will absolutely do it again next time we’re in town.
A lovely first afternoon tea experience. Delicious food, impeccable service, and delightful atmosphere with live piano playing in the background. Highly recommend!
Afternoon tea experience
The quantity of food for our afternoon tea had drastically reduced and the price had risen so much since our last visit. It was very disappointing, we won't be visiting again.
We were seated in the smaller part of the tearoom which we were pleased about. The colour scheme and the tableware and napery were delightful. Service was good and the ambiance was pleasant. Generous helpings and no problem taking a doggy bag home. A little surprised at the standard of dress of some of the guests which seemed rather too casual in some cases.
As a treat for my parents and had never been to an afternoon tea, we were looking forward to this as a special experience. Overall it was okay. Maybe it wasn’t ‘our thing’ but in terms of value for money, it was enormously expensive for what it was. Our server didn’t really explain what we could expect and me being a Pescatarian, I thought I could’ve have been better accommodated in terms of choice/options. We weren’t told we could take food home either. Luckily my parents enjoyed it, and we can put a ‘tick’ at having done it, but I reckon your money could be spent better elsewhere.
I needed 40 minutes at the reception although I had a reservation and also waited for another 30 minutes since I ordered. Totally, I had to wait for over one hour for my afternoon tea. The waiter was arrogant. I never return here. I do not recommend this to my friends.
Nobody at F&M is reading this anyway, so no point in witing anything.
Very friendly stuff, excellent food (you'll get more, if you want), fine Selection of food. Fine experience
Best afternoon tea in London and I’ve had a few. Jose was a great waiter and the gluten free variation was delicious
The experience was great and so were the food and teas!!
One of the menu cards I was provided was torn out from the staples. Not a big deal, but this kind of attention to details makes a difference especially if you expect the guests to pay that amount of money.
Our reservation was confirmed for 3 pm but when we arrived we were told that they were closed for a private event and to come back at 4 pm. They also said “We’ll be sure to give you a good table” which is quite insulting.
The food was good but nothing exceptional compared to other places in London where we’ve had afternoon tea. The service was adequate but considering we had been sent away and told to come back we expected an apology at the very least.
A phone call, text, or email should have been sent earlier in day or even the day before to let us know about the private event. We did call and confirm (as they requested) on Saturday and nothing was said about a change in time.
I would probably recommend for friends to have afternoon tea at another establishment if they are visiting London.
It was everything we expected- wonderful service, the food was delicious and it is also is very nice that they offer the opportunity to reorder more food so the price is more than fair
Definitely a must if you are in London -doesn’t matter if as an London inhabitants or as visitors
Lovely food, the Gluten free tea was outstanding and the service was exceptional. Great experience overall
Mummy and daughter treat which was absolutely amazing. I had the vegetarian tea and my daughter had the Children’s tea. Both were plentiful and refills always offered. The most special part of the tea was the impeccable service from our lovely waiter Jose! Really something special
The Afternoon tea is really a hit and miss for me, while the sandwiches are delicious the cakes and scones are quite disappointing. This is my second visit so I was hoping for an improvement on the scones which were unfortunately another disappointment. They were extremely dry with hardly any flavour. You have to smother them with jam and cream to make them edible. On the plus side the staff are friendly and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble, you do feel very looked after! The atmosphere and surroundings are also very elegant and relaxing.
Disappointing with a few finger sandwiches and small bite-sized pastries. The tea was dilute and the food ordinary, hardly worth 60£ price. Service average. Nice atmosphere and tradition for tourists only!
The food was great and the tea was excellent. The service was a little pressing in my opinion but nothing too bad in the end, very nice and polite waiter. Also, it wasn't really clear if the food they offer to take home or have more is in supplement or not. But we had a great time, I would recommend it and come back again
Tea time exceptionnel. Thes rares. Tout est à volonté
Nous avons ete tres surpris car ns etions 7 et avons demandé 3 scones suppl et tout a ete reservi. Vraiment ne pas prevoir de diner apres.
Very disappointed with our experience. Scones were hard and crumbled infact inedible.
2nd batch offered were not much better. Extremely over priced and I am not one that usually complains but this was just not the experience we were expecting.
We where treated fantastically from start to finish nothing was to much trouble. Everyone was so helpful explaining everything we needed to know. We didn’t feel hurried just calm and made to feel special on our anniversary. Full marks from us
The waiter over heard me talk about my birthday and came out with some birthday cake and made a big fuss. She was so lovely with my girls. Service was amazing.
Food was lovely with a lovely view of London. I would definitely love to visit again.
A lovely experience, great food and service. The kids offer was great
Wonderful environment and service.
Scheduling a table super easy...straight out from my phone.
Our Waitress Marianna was awesome....guided us through our first experience in London with tea and savories / sweets....
The overall experience was wonderful. The scones add to the experience beyond anything else. My choice of tea was rather bitter, which contrasted my order of a sweat tea, however the fault is mine for having a sibling of English breakfast tea, which, by it’s very nature is bitter.
I really liked the experience, food was super tasty, service is impeccable, i liked the interior
Absolutely fabulous, the staff were fantastic, the place is elegant and the food exceedingly good. Would recommend everyone should experience the afternoon tea at Fortnum and Mason
We reserved months ahead and had a tight timeline. They didn’t seat us until 15 min after our reservation. Then we had to ask for our check 3 times before they brought it. We ended up 30 min late to our next engagement.
