Fortnum and Mason - St. Pancras Station
For breakfast, there are the simple pleasures of toast, cereals and porridge as well as more substantial fare such as kedgeree, Welsh Rarebit and Eggs Benedict.
All-dining can be light or hearty as required, with a menu featuring savoury tarts and salads as well as hot meals such as braised venison and fish pie. Champagne, beer and wine are all available, as well as soft drinks, tea and coffee.
Finally, it should go without saying that Afternoon Tea is also on the menu, alongside scones, cake, ice cream and puddings.
2nd time here after 3 years. The experience was not the same but I have to say that the consistency is there which is a remarkable thing. We had the afternoon tea for two which I found overpriced therefore the value is not there.
We came for a posh breakfast for a special birthday weekend in London. The food was lovely. The waiter and waitress were very friendly, and the free gift for my sister’s birthday was a lovely gesture. The only thing I would say was that the staff seemed a little tired, and forgot to bring our second round of drinks. However the waiter was apologetic when he realised and it was still a lovely meal.
This was my second visit and our lunch was excellent.
Attentive service and great food. The menu isn’t vast but it’s well cooked, tasty and excellent value for money.
It was just a little overpriced for what it was. £4.50 for toast?
Great venue, beautifully presentation and not packed so can hear your conversations! Will return
A good experience to have a afternoon tea here, service is nice, also can buy some souvenir here, saving time, we do enjoy this tea time.
Great place, nice service. The only thing was there were many people waiting for the seats, so when we sit there we felt a little bit pressure
Great little restaurant, food and service are fantastic, can be a little noise but to be expected due to location within the station.
Great little oasis of tranquility and refinement in the middle of a buzzing station. Lovely food and drink
A simple but select place, hospitality and service. A very nice moment with my daughter
I gave the noise level as moderate due to a couple with their child at the next table - the child was using a device without head phones and we had that noise (although not altogether loud) throughout our meal.
There was a general relaxed feeling to the restaurant area with quiet staff who were attentive and obliging.
The food was a good standard (as at F&M in Piccadilly) - I had eggs florentine and the eggs were a beautiful golden orange, perfectly cooked.
It did seem a little pricy as we were eating in a station, but the quiet, relaxed feel was like a little oasis away from the anxious travellers and their suitcases.
Great service - very friendly and helpful (I was there with my rather elderly father). He enjoyed the Welsh rarebit and I had good salmon and scrambled eggs. Great crumble for pudding. Importantly we could hear each other and we were away from the crowds. Not cheap but a very good option.
One had a 2 course meal and the other afternoon tea - both excellent
I am a regular at this charming spot which is perfect as a very civilised venue for quiet conversations either for business or simply catching up with friends. The food is light and tasty and the service impeccable. A hidden gem as many people don't notice the restaurant at the back of the shop.
It was a very good experience and the food was incredible, however it was let down by the poor service.
Déçue par la parmiggiana qui était liquide, sans goût et en très petite quantité. Le crumble était bon
A very nice breakfast menu and pleasant attentive staff.
Expensive, but lovely food, comfortable, quiet, restful, and very nice not to be rushed
Everything was excellent. It was the perfect setting for our breakfast meeting. Highly recommended.
Had afternoon tea here. Ambiance isn't great - you're eating in the corner of a small shop. Food was tasty overall - everything was good. But service was very poor. Messed up our order initially, didn't bring us the right amount of food for 3 people, overcharged us, and just overall was not good. Wouldn't go back for tea...
Absolutely wonderful breakfast - staff were so polite and attentive. Food was perfect and the lovely touch of a birthday treat with candles for my sister was really appreciated. Can’t wait to go back.
Lovely afternoon at F&M. Great ambiance and super food. Plus, good service.
We had an amazing time at the afternoon tea at Fortnum and Mason during our weekend trip to London. It was one of the most inexpensive options we found, yet there was a generous amount of sandwiches, scones, and desserts as well as a pot of tea (of your choice) that kept us full. The hosting staff was extremely amiable and accommodating. I would highly recommend F&M to anyone looking to check afternoon tea off their bucket list!
Afternoon Tea - a lovely treat. The conversation flowed as well as the tea! The sandwiches, scones and cakes were excellent. Just love F&M :-)
The dessert is delicious with reasonable price. The tea is also great and the hot water can be refilled.
Great civilised place to meet for a chat and snack
Excellent service. Food, ambiance and cleanliness excellent. Definitely recommend as venue to meet up with friends.
We had afternoon tea, when I asked the waiter what the cakes were, he didn’t know and was unable to find out.
Also the silver edge on the China was warn away, generally the China looked old.
Excellent service, delicious food, ambience was lovely, beautiful back ground music an overall lovely experience at Breakfast time
We loved our first time at Fortnams. The place was all we expected. Warm, clean, kind staff so helpful and just the hint of a little music. The experience was wonderful and we will definitely be back. Thank you. John & Carol Grantham.
Advisable to book to enjoy the full Fortnum & Mason experience! I enjoyed a casual business lunch with a business friend over a glass of wine and some exquisite smoked salmon, followed by afternoon tea. Highly recommended.
As always, super service, lovely ambiance and great food.
Once again another lovely lunch at this restaurant. Always a great experience and would definitely recommend.
F&M St Pancras is a brilliant place to meet friends for lunch. It is very convenient for meeting friends passing through London. so far this month I have converted three people to your Welsh Rarebit. I usually go to the main restaurant for my birthday lunch but may come here instead.
Fantastic service and delicious food ! I’d visit again and again.
Great food and value
A perfect place for an afternoon tea before taking a late train to Paris.
We had a fabulous afternoon tea on Saturday 29th December with superb sandwiches and scrumptious scones- but most notably, the service was outstanding making the most of our afternoon.
