Fortnum & Mason The Parlour
The manager, Quentin, was very accommodating for our food allergy requirements. He had carefully took note of our allergies and advised us of their procedures to reassure us. Thank you for your kind care. You made my boys very happy!
Poor system on arrival when you have a reservation and staff member quite rude. After that a much better service and experience. Food is expensive for what it is but to be expected at Fortnum’s. Overall a nice experience but not something I’m in a hurry to repeat.
Lovely menu and really helpful staff so good with our little one
The Parlour was absolutely superb. A really special time with my partner, enjoying a delicious Parlour’s Tea. Highly recommended.
Brought my daughter for her 18th Birthday - staff made her feel so special with cake and singing! A perfect place for a celebration with superb food and wonderful staff.
We come her every holiday, me, The Niece and The Nephew. He has a serious dairy and nut allergy and now The Parlour can cater for him it’s a great treat venue.
This visit wasn’t as good as usual for two reasons. Firstly my nephew was only given two scoops of the three he ordered (and we were charged for three!) I decided to leave him with two because by that point my niece had decided that the Mint-choc-chip was horrible and she wasn’t going to eat it. The Mint-choc-chip was hideous. I think it had been made by someone who favours the wrong kind of mint for flavour. Not up to F&M’s usual standard- I had coffee and chocolate ice creams and they were delicious.
We requested pan cake and he brought crepe..which is different from the pan cake.
Service is very good
Waited a while before being approached and seated. The ice cream is very overpriced; we built our own sundaes and the scoops of ice cream were very small. Limited amount of flavours which appeal to a more mature taste. The setting is nice and it’s a very busy place which mean the staff seemed preoccupied in getting people in and out. I was a bit disappointed with my visit
The waiting staff could be more attentive and polite.
The savoury foods are not good value for money.
The ice cream was superb.
Waitress was knowledgable about gluten free options note the strawberry is made from oat milk and so not gf.
Service was poor. The only attention seems to be a paid to seating the customer. Once the order is delivered you never see a server
I almost had to stand up and trip a waitress in order to get a further addition to my order. Was never asked how my order was. I would not recommend it.
Our waitress was most unhelpful. The sundaes were nice however expensive. Also when we received the bill there was a service charge which we were not aware of at any point. When we questioned this we were told it was an obligated Payment and not discretionary. As we had two children in our group of five it was expensive and disappointing. We had already spent over £400 in the store . This was our first and last visit.
Perfect as always
The most delicious icecream and wonderful helpful staff
We had a lovely time, but there were real problems with the service.
Love it! Great for girls! Pretty decor, pretty food. Love the ice cream cones on the coffee cup!
The tea was lovely but, the food (pancakes and croissant) were very average and not at all worth the money we paid. We were very disappointed and ended up eating elsewhere. Service was lovely.
If you like posh ice-cream and sprinkles then this is for you
I had booked a table for my wife's birthday and on the booking asked if they could do something special. It was very disappointing that nothing special was done, despite another nearby table having a candle brought out and staff sing them happy birthday.
I would totally recommend if you fancy a nice treat
Always a must on a visit to London for ice cream sundaes. Fabulous service, amazing ice creams and cracking atmosphere.
we expected a different ambience to an ice cream parlour;; the word parlour suggested more refined tea and cakes. far too much like a three ring circus with a slow response to our wish to order; it was hardly worth booking. the food was fine if expensive, the tea could ahve been stronger and with more hot water.
The ice cream parlour is very retro and has a lovely friendly feel. The presentation was great and my daughters loved their ice cream sundaes.
Lovely location. Great service. Ice cream and floats were tasty. Will definitely be back again
Great scones! Service was good but a little slow. I enjoyed the casual vibe and it was cool to try the famous scones without the price tag of a full tea. Good for a snack.
We were at the Parlour to celebrate my Husband’s 50th Birthday with ice cream sundaes and champagne. The service was excellent and the ice creams were absolutely delicious. The Florentine ice cream was one of the best ice creams I’ve ever had! A lovely touch was when my husband’s ice cream arrived with a candle. We all enjoyed our Parlour experience very much and will definitely be back when we next visit London.
Very friendly staff, food was superb. overall a good experience
A cheerful welcome, colourful surroundings, prompt service, nice food, what more could friends need.
A lovely experience. Great for kids and adults. Really enjoyed!!
We had a lovely service from Nelson. My daughter and her friend had an amazing time.
Thank you for the great experience again. We are definitely coming back soon.
Took my mum to the Parlour for tea and scones, it was very disappointing. The tea was lovely, but the scones were tiny. Not the quality I was expecting from Fortnum and Mason. I’ve had better tea and scones in many many other ordinary cafes that were far higher in quality. Looked around at other diners food and it was average, nothing special at all. Mum was very underwhelmed and it was supposed to be a special treat. I wouldn’t go back unless I was going to buy shopping
Whenever i am in London with my Daughter we always book the Parlour, I look forward to the weird and unthinkable but amazing Sundaes there and i always fall in love with them! They never ever disapoint.
I was very disappointed that tea at The Parlour was SO underwhelming. The noise level, however, was overwhelming. Really bad acoustics, not excess noise from children celebrating birthdays, etc. The service was lackluster, at best, and the only saving grace is that the food was yummy! It was the best avocado toast I've ever had and the scones were just right.
Unfortunately, my mom and I were left with a bad taste in our mouths - yes, pun intended. I realize we did not spring for the ultra deluxe tea but I still felt we should have enjoyed our time as the economy tea wasn't exactly cheap.
Very enjoyable experience and the best ice cream of strawberry variety this side of Italy!
The service in the Parlour is truly special. The staff are fun, attentive and really lovely and were just great with the kids. It was a lovely treat!!
As always, the food and drink were outstanding but the service this time was disappointing. It took quite awhile to order and then we waited half an hour before asking about the status our order, only to be told it was next. To be fair, it was delivered after that, but we watched multiple people being seated and getting their orders before ours. As we had ordered ice cream sundaes, it seemed odd that it would take so long. We then had to try to flag down waiters to get our bill, and even then it took awhile before they brought it to us. I'm not sure what the problem was on Saturday, but not the service we've grown to expect.
Expensive, if you just want ice cream! However, it's a treat for special occasions, and the food is tasty, though not huge portions.
Often visit the Parlour at Fortnum and Mason for a treat when showing visitors around my home town! Food is good quality and the ice cream sundaes are the best!!
Great atmosphere, good food and great service! A real treat!
Lovely afternoon tea at the parlour. Staff were very attentive and friendly. We had the parlours tea which is great value- a savoury item, scones with jam and cream and tea. They also brought out a slice of cake with a candle as we were celebrating a birthday which was very sweet of them. It's a nice relaxed atmosphere and the 1950s style pastel colours and furniture are lovely. I would highly recommend it as a great value tea in a beautiful setting.
We really enjoyed our trip to the Fortnum and Mason Ice Cream parlour - the ice cream and the table service was fantastic. I found getting into the restaurant a little difficult - due to the large queue that you have to fight your way through to say you have a reservation, and the host who wasn't overly friendly - it just isn't the Fortnum and Mason experience that I have had in the past. I was also sad to see that the Afternoon Tea ice-cream sundae had been taken off the menu, which I had on my last visit and really enjoyed. But we enjoyed our trip never the less and I will definitely be back.
