We had a family birthday dinner here. Absolutely great service. Lovely well cooked food and the team are great with children. Will definitely be visiting again. Thank you to the girl who’s first day was on 19/10 amazing service!
We took advantage of the 2 hour happy hour and had a very nice cocktail with tequila & pomegranate (amongst other things). Burger of the month, bacon double cheese & caramelised onions, was delicious & I loved the fries. Service impeccable. Lovely evening, will go back!
Lovely food, good service and great atmosphere. Will definitely go back.
Sunday lunch: OK food, limited menu, expensive Sunday roast of either Beef or Chicken - looked good but didn't try; but not worth £17/£18
There are better options for a Sunday lunch.
First time going to Foxlow in Balham and have to say I was disappointed. Food was good but service wasn’t good.
Went as a group to Foxlow on a Sunday, late afternoon, the staff were really nice, the atmosphere was good and the food was delicious. It's not the most extensive menu, and they had run out of Sunday lunch (but it was 5pm so that's not unreasonable!), even the gluten free member of our group found something they wanted to eat on the menu. We had a really great time catching up over good food.
By 2pm there was no beef left. Never been to a Sunday roast where by there was only a dry chicken option by half service. Poor
Good menu. Liked the cocktails. Will go back. Good atmosphere. Pity they had run out of meat for the mains.
This was my second visit and I am so impressed by the level of service and quality of food. Excellent value.
Foxlowe always delivers! Well executed food, good service, good cocktails, buzzy vibe and well priced...
A brilliant find in Balham! We loved it! Our food was great and our waitress was so helpful. Really impressed.
Went to this restaurant on the weekend with my family of 4. Was told by the front of the house that they are too busy and there restaurant is completely full for the day. Bearing in mind there were many empty seats in the restaurant. But anyway fair enough maybe those empty seats had bookings right? My mum said I should try and book on open table just to see. Went on open table and they had all times available. Booked for 10mins later, went back to the restaurant and the front of house looked at us like he had seen a ghost.
So obviously he was lying. He just didn’t want us to sit in the restaurant for whatever reason. Maybe it’s because it’s a young and trendy place? And I was with my mum who knows. But was not a good start at all and he didn’t say sorry or anything. He knew what he did was wrong.
Other than that, good food and we had an excellent waiter as well.
Just as the previous owners this place has really bad acoustics. Music was on which meant people were talking very loud to hear each other. No need for music in a very busy place. People in there create the noise.
I went here with my mum and brother. The vibe was really energetic and buzzing. The food was not anything special and the dessert was a complete let down.
I was disappointed Brunch was still be served on Saturday at 1pm. It was very noisy but the staff were kind and attentive. It was full of young people and families perhaps not the correct place for two women to catch up on news.
Went for Sunday lunch and they had run out of Sunday Roast at 3pm! Super disappointed. ☹️
We really enjoyed our evening at Foxlow. From arriving at 7:30pm to leaving after 10, we found the atmosphere buzzing and the service attentive, but not overly so. We sat in a cosy booth in a low-lit corner, away from too much bustle but not too quiet.
The food is really tasty and between us we polished off three of the four vegetarian/vegan main courses, plus three sides and a shared dessert. That wasn't too much as the vegetarian dishes are on the small side - but all are delicious. The wine list is long, with a good range of prices, and we couldn't resist after dinner cocktails - yummy, too. Try the sticky toffee pudding. It's perfect.
Wonderful service and great atmosphere. Our party had different dietary needs - including two vegetarians and one lactose/gluten intolerant - and staff were very accomodating, and the menu was varied. Great experience and good value!
Great service, very generous with the prosecco and friendly, fun staff!
Perfect for a girls’ brunch.
Food was fine, not amazing but not bad and would definitely return, especially if the focus is on the ‘bottomless’ and not so much on the brunch.
Really fun day.
Foxlow on our first visit was amazing so we went back to this - our second visit. Service is excellent , drinks a bit lazy in style and design and food inconsistent. A pity that consistency is an issue as otherwise I’d be there every other day. Recovery on issues raised - excellent thus I’ll go back and hope that things stabilise in time.
Very good with friendly and accommodating staff. Food excellent. Only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 is that the music was a bit loud for me - but then I'm quite old now!
Foxlow is easily the best restaurant in the neighbourhood - it does great food, has fantastic service and a great atmosphere, plus the prices are really reasonable. It’s got the right balance of everything!
We had a great time at the restaurant, but service was below average. It took a while to be served at our table.
Everytime I go I have the spice roasted cauliflower with the carrot and kale salad on the side - it is so delicious.
Great food! Fab service! The food really is very yummy and they cook it with love
Excellent service (better than I have had on some other occasions). Good drinks, great roast beef.
Menu’s changed a bit - not the same quality as my partner and I are used to but still good nonetheless
I recently celebrated my birthday at Foxlow’s, Balham. However, I did not say that this was the occasion when booking. On the day, my friends made it far too clear that we were out for my birthday celebrations...one of the waiters then provided me with a drink on the house. Thank you!
Alongside that, the food was superb, the service was great and staff were very attentive and catered to our needs.
Will be heading back in the near future, I have no doubts.
We came here for Saturday morning brunch as a group of 7 friends. The bottomless bloody Mary’s and bottomless fizz seemed like great value, and there was always someone on hand to refill!
The food was great, even the veggie option.
I am a big fan of Foxlow Balham, however, on this occasion, it was a real disappointment. My husband and I both ordered the Flat Iron Steak. His looked much better than mind and said it was fine. Mine however was extremely tough and grisly. The Bearnaise sauce was also not very nice. It just had a strange taste to it.
No one came over during the meal to ask how it was and all servers were very preoccupied otherwise I would have mentioned it.
I Havw visited follow a few times - a good all rounder!
Have been to Foxlow a few times before and have always enjoyed it but we went on this occasion for a Time Out Offer (Burger, Fries and Drink for £13)
My partner and friend had a Bacon Double Cheeseburger which seemed good value and had a decent consistency between meat and bread (although the burger was slightly over cooked) and tasted good.
I had the Foxlow Burger which seemed poor in comparison - the meat was quite thin (despite being told it was a bigger burger than the Bacon Double) which meant there was too much bread. Additionally, the burger was pink (which is great) but was burned on the outside (not so great) meaning I had a burnt charcoal taste in my mouth for the next hour. So I definitely felt like I made a bad choice there!
Anyway - the service was nice and friendly but the food needs improving as it wasn’t up to the usual standards.
Excellent service from Chris and other staff members. Lovely limitless prosecco lunch.
First time at Foxlow Balham. The service was fantastic, we had a brilliant waiter who had a smile all afternoon and sported a friendly attitude. The food was excellent and reasonably priced.
My friend and I had a brilliant bottomless brunch and will be returning soon!
Lovely find in SW London. Food didn't dissapoint (will have to go back and try brunch menu - and Sunday lunch!). Staff lovely and friendly and very helpful with food choices. Was there in time for happy hour and the cocktails didn't dissapoint.
Lovely birthday brunch with friends. Thank you for the birthday pudding and candles!
Always love a trip to Foxlow but food disappointing. Sea Bream really really boney and overdone and mac and cheese also overdone.
Cocktails and steak and burger that our friends had were great
Great meal and thoroughly enjoyed it
We had bottomless brunch with unlimited bloody Mary’s. The bloody Mary’s were very good, with just the right amount of spice.
Food was good but didn’t really ‘wow’ us - I had poached eggs and smoked salmon for £10 which only had one slice of toast - I think two would have given me a more filling meal without costing the restaurant too much. Seems fairly priced all in all though. Would recommend.
