Great food and service
As always, Foxlow was wonderful!
It is a real testament to both the quality of the food, and the standard of the staff, that we are genuinely sad that Foxlow is closing its doors.
It has been our go-to place for the last few years, and it will be sorely missed from Balham.
Delicious food and the service was excellent. I'd go there again in a heartbeat.
Food was amazing so sad its closing down will have to book another night there before it goes. Perfect for kids too.
I’d recommend The Foxlow to anyone. Great place, great service and great food. Definitely 10/10. I also recommend the poutine. The sausage gravy is amazing!
Limited gluten free choices and considerably smaller portions compared to that offered on the normal menu
very friendly staff who were more than willing to help when needed. Food was a little salty though.
Single diner > first visit. The pom/marg cocktail was good by too short! The carrot/cheese starter was good...taste I really did not expect that..Malbec was good but not value; maybe I'll negotiate BYOB on other than Tuesdays...
Perfect attentive service. Menu looks good for further exploration...
For a neighbourhood restaurant does a very good job
Made a last minute booking on Thursday evening for 6. Service was great, good choice of drinks and nice atmosphere. However we left unimpressed by the quality of food, which didn’t warrant the above average prices. Dishes were quite overly salted across the table and meat was overdone. Probably wouldn’t return.
the guys who looked after us made the day perfect! thanks so much for sitting us away from young families, for considering my food allergies and for never letting my bloody Mary go empty!!
Great food, nice vibe, friendly, attentive staff. Would definitely return!
Lovely staff but food was overcooked. I had the hake which had turned to mush. The pork was tough. The special (Zinger burger) tasted weird because of the combination of flavours (sriracha doesn't really go with the aubergine sauce). Portion sizes were small. Okay but wouldn't go back.
Food was lovely. Had a british white wine that was on the ‘bin ends’ menu which was cheaper and actually tasted amazing. Our waiter was fantastic, couldn’t fault him.
Always good food at Foxlow Balham. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. I would recommend a visit!
The staff at Foxlow is extremely friendly and forthcoming.
Went for a sunday lunch. Nice and bright setting, with a range of different type of sitting. For example stools high tables or cubicle.
Staff were polite and attentive.
Food was lovely the beef roast was delicious. Really nice serving amount. Will definitely be back to try different food options.
Never disappoints. Lovely attentive staff and good food.
We are big fans of Foxlow having been to the restaurant many times. The prices seem more reasonable compared to when they first opened which is always a bonus. We ate as a party of six which included two small children but as ever they accommodated us well and was served promptly allowing us to make a swift turnaround before the kids got restless. The good was great as usual. Thanks
Great food, great drinks, friendly and fast service. Very pleased. Would recommend.
Food has gone downhill since we last went. The starter ribs were dry and gristly. The steak was also dry and tough, not the medium rare we asked for.
Foxlow is always amazing. Fantastic staff, excellent food.
Went with some friends & family to celebrate my birthday for brunch. I was initially greeted by friendly staff & shown to my table. Food was amazing! I would highly recommend the brunch menu & trying other food because everything we ate looked & tasted great. Cocktails were made to perfection & only paying £5 per cocktail was even better! Our actual waitress however wasn’t as pleasant but thankfully that didn’t put a damper on the afternoon. I would definitely go back.
Menu a bit limited for a brunch, could do with service the breakfast all day and not stopping at 12pm, also having a few more sweet options like pancakes. Prosecco also not the best, too sweet. Fantastic staff though and faultless service.
Lovely feel, a nice buzz on good Friday. Which Boozy Brunch helped to elevate. I would definitely come back. It's just round the corner from me. Amazing new find!!! I definite. Service could of been quicker but they were swamped. All were super friendly. My only concern as a vegetarian i would of loved to have seen a veggie or halloumi burger, as while having a boozy brunch, you want a little more to eat! But all in all great and i would recommend!
I had Sunday brunch here with a group of my friends and the food was amazing. I also note that the service was on point. From the moment we walked into the door we were greeted by the hostess Chris (who had great energy) and the woman serving our table was attentive. Our food arrived quickly and they even allowed us to hang around on the table after we payed our bill to continue talking.
Always a great place to eat meat. Service yes great
Fantastic food, very attentive staff, friendly vibe. Would highly recommend this to anyone.
While the food was great, the service really let the evening down. It took over 20mins to get drinks ordered... everything was slow!
Went for a Sunday roast, the food was amazing and the service was great! I will definitely return.
Was a lovely meal the salad was particularly tasty. Only issue I found we was squeezed into a corner with a buggy right against my chair which isn’t that comfortable. Maybe should re think table layout to accommodate buggy’s.
Bottomless brunch was fab, service was amazing! Really enjoyed it.
Food was grand, nothing super special. Good service though. It felt very noisy though for lunchtime.
I knew this was never going to a Hawksmoor experience, but I didn't realise it would be so far short of that standard. The quality of the food does not bear comparison. I thought the steak might be a close approximation to the parent restaurant, but it was a poor quality piece of meat and overcooked. We were all a bit underwhelmed with the food, the background music was intrusive, and the atmosphere was more youth club than serious restaurant. And at a price that painfully overvalues the experience. As a place to drop in this serves a purpose but definitely not a destination restaurant.
Door staff not the most friendly/enthusiastic and not great value at £45 for two brunch plates with 2 drinks (incl. one glass of wine).
Love the midweek and dinner menu and just think it's absurd and a great shame that on Sunday at 2pm those (usual) options aren't available. Surely normal lunch/dinner plates are more popular at 2pm than a fry-up?!
A celebratory birthday brunch for our 1 year old daughter. Great atmosphere and service. The kids menu is great. The chicken and waffles continue to be a favourite!
Excellent service, awesome cocktails and super tasty food. Burger was so good :-) So happy to have this as one of our locals!
Had an amazing evening, food was excellent wine list reasonable waiting staff incredible. Excellent night
Foxlow is a lovely restaurant with friendly caring staff who made sure your every desire was catered for. The food was excellent and well presented and, of course, hot. I would recommend Foxlow to my friends and neighbours.
Went for a brunch date with a friend, ended up staying for 4 hours as lost track of time! Staff were very welcoming and friendly, service was efficient, food was delicious! We had two roasts of very good quality produce and cooking skills and two delightful desserts. We were very looked after and didn’t feel rushed or pressured to leave at any point which I really appreciated. I would highly recommend Foxlow and I look forward to returning again!
