Good happy hour cocktails at £5. And very happy with a glass house red at £4
Good food and service
We had a table booked for 13:30 and were a bit disappointed to find that only the brunch menu was available
Service was good, food robust.
Most of my party had the chicken burger which was good and well cooked although I had the full English which was a bit dried up but ok - average at best
All in all was fine
Starters particularly the squid and salmon we loved. Great steaks! Cooked as ordered. The Hot Toddy (medicinal) caused great mirth particularly in the way it was served. Very friendly staff who were very good considering the restaurant was full. BYOB on Tuesday :)
Very kind stuff, relaxed environment, very good food for excellent price value, highly recommend
Absolouty amazing night with the family. I would happily recommend to a friend. Great meal, great service and great value for the price.
Good work Foxlow!!!!!
Fantastic dinner at Foxlow on Friday evening. Excellent steak and great value for money. Good cocktail & wine list too.
This is a great place for lunch or dinner. The menu is quite small and the food is really well executed. When burger of the month is available it is really well done, the classic is great too. Good to linger or for a quick lunch.
Really lovely place, really excellent service. Incredible wine, incredible flat iron steak, incredible sticky toffee pudding 👍🏻
Had a couple of "dark and stormy"s from their happy hours cocktail list, while waiting for my friend. We were seated quickly. Our waitress was very good and chatty. The service was good. I had flat iron steak with bearnaise and fries, all delicious and my friend had the anglum fattoush salad and fries. Special mention to the fries! Finally ended meal with orange and almond cake with ganache and marmalade, nice too. The place wasn't too busy or noisy, dim light (maybe a bit on the dark side but I wasn't beating fish with bones so I didn't mind). All together a nice experience that I would repeat again and again.
I really enjoyed the interesting menu and couldn’t resist ordering a range of starters to ensure I could sample more dishes. Loved the anchovy crisps and the elegant beetroot salad deserves a photo and it was delicious. My lovely waitress M, couldn’t have been nicer. Recommended.
Excellent food, simple dishes cooked very well. Quite pricey for the amount of food on the plate but that's good as you leave feeling satisfied but not stuffed! Excellent, good value wine list. The interior and lighting is superb.
The Foxlow in Soho had been vibes, food, and service. I was very disappointed in my experience at Clerkenwell, which did not live up to my previous Foxlow experience. Ordered the bottomless filter coffee and the waitress made us feel guilty every time we asked for a refill (when she should have been the one asking if we wanted one!). The food had decent enough portions, but the maple syrup and gravy were watered down.
If I get the craving for Foxlow again, I will 100% be visiting their Soho location.
Went for a dinner with a friend. We wanted a relatively quiet table and the waiters were helpful and friendly, if not particularly professional. I enjoyed the ambience, the cocktails, the wine selection and most of the food. The spare ribs starter was dry and over cooked but the steaks were spot on and the pudding very nice. It’s good quality, traditional food, so I would go again if in the area but wouldn’t say it’s worth a trip.
Delicious steak and amazing service! Would recommend for any work lunches
Very helpful, friendly staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome and meet your requests. Delicious food, lovely ambience, clean toilets.
Delicious food and very friendly staff. The sweet potato dumplings are amazing! I have been back for those multiple times. Perfectly seasoned and feels quite healthy yet still filling!
The staff are happy to help with suggestions and the general vibe is lovely.
Having had various enjoyable meals here, we finally returned for the Sunday roast. The half chicken was good if not exceptional. The beef was fantastic - thick, pink slabs, slow cooked. Too full to contemplate pudding!
Never disappointed, I've been to this Foxlow location once before and was impressed, I frequent the Balham 'branch' often and always have a great time and it seems the Clerkenwell site is cut from the same cloth.
The staff are friendly and attentive, without jumping all over you, are happy to recommend and talk you through dishes and drinks, but without being pushy.
The food was spot on, one of the best steaks i've had this year, sides we perfect and dessert was corking as well. I'd recommend perfect for friends, a date night or meeting up with the family.
Foxlow is one of my favourite lunch spots in the area - friendly service and consistently good food, drink and overall ambience. Great value express set menu - kale salad is delicious!
Really enjoyed lunch here - excellent food and drinks in a nice setting.
Foxlow has a reputation for being meat heavy. In fact it has great vegetarian and vegan options. We had really excellent service.
Always a great spot to catch up with friends. No corkage fee on Tuesday is a gem!
Second time I’ve eaten here with friends. Great food, drinks and service. We’ll be back again. Thank you Foxlow.
Nicest meal in a long while. Excellent steaks. Good evening
This was at least my 5th trip to Foxlow, and probably my least favourite. the burgers weren't done as well as usual. And the attention from the staff was minimal. Waiting to be served, to order food, for the bill, mistake on bill that had to be corrected, non-enthusiasm from staff...
We were introduced to Foxlow by our son who lives in London. Most recently we met friends for Sunday lunch. The Roast Beef was excellent with proper roast potatoes and Yorkshire pud. We had the last of the Beef at 2.00pm so don't be too late. We had 3 starters between 4 and no one could manage a dessert. Service is informal but good. Finally the wine is reasonable for London I.e. You don't feel ripped of.
The steak and deserts were excellent as always! Starters are amazing too try the squid and salmon.
Have been to Foxlow a few times recently (admittedly twice in same week), for Brunch and Dinner. Brunch was great - hit the spot! Chicken & waffles were perfect & a rare find. Saw a lot of Sunday roasts go by, which sparked food envy - food is just fab. Quick burger special dinner mid-week with a friend also didn’t disappoint. Service is always attentive and friendly. Good cocktail and wine list, too!
Fabulous food and fabulous service - will definitely return.
Excellent service and food! Staff were very attentive
Very relaxed atmosphere with good service and well cooked food. Added bonus of bring your own wine on Tuesdays. Would visit again
Really delicious food. Well made and well seasoned! Lots of options. The vegan sweet potato dumpling were amazing!! I must go back again for them.
Really great, very buzzy place to go for a Friday afternoon steak and get excited for the weekend ahead.
On previous occasions this restaurant has been great but on the occasion the food was quite disappointing, the steak was extremely tough and chewy!
Amazing venue, great beer and wonderful ambience.
Cook the burgers medium rare, taste was fantastic but slightly over done ;).
When we made the booking, we noted it was for 5 people in total and requested that we be provided with a high chair. When we arrived at Foxlow, we were sat at a table laid for 6 people, without a high chair. Its not a huge point, as the helpful staff immediately fetched a highchair when we explained, but it suggests there isn't necessarily a lot of attention being paid to the details of booking. As we were sat at a table laid for 6, we had to request to order, as the waiters assumed we were waiting for a 6th person, which was not the case. Once that was out of the way, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was very tasty, and the ambience was good.
Absolutely delicious! We were a group of 8 and a little bit late for our res and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. I had the rib eye which was cooked to perfection (m/r), a few people had the whole fish which was equally divine and we had a mixture of starters, I seem to recall the ribs being very succulent. Our server was fabulous and it was the perfect location for a friends get together.
Took family members to Foxlow for a birthday meal. As ever, the quality was high, service attentive and atmosphere good.
Great restaurant off the beaten track. Great cocktails, mixed well. Short menu, but steaks to die for, cooked just as you like... Staff very friendly and knowledgeable, and made welcome recommendations. We visited on Saturday 5:30 and were the only customers until we left, so I hope they get busy later on... Highly recommended.
Lovely staff! And lovely calm atmosphere. Great for all age groups and in a prime location to go out afterwards.
