great food and wonderful service. For me overcooked salmon. Rest was good (other persons)
We had a great experience here. Nice slow lunch on a busy Tuesday. Great service, good food, decent value. Can’t fault it!
The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. The staff is very friendly and attentive.
Great food, great service, maybe slightly overpriced but overall very delicious!
Nduja potatoes and the roast beef are AMAZING! Great Foxlow mimosa too.
Great atmosphere, helpful and friendly staff, lovely e cocktails and very decent food.
Really great experience overall, cocktails were of a high quality, food was delicious and service very attentive.
We went for our eighth anniversary last week. The food was absolutely superb, especially impressive because one of us is vegan and one a grilled meat fan. Both our meals were outstanding from start to finish but I especially want to highlight the service, which was friendly and helpful from start to finish, including helping me recover with dignity when I made an error while ordering. A really wonderful night.
Had a great evening there food fantastic everyone loved it. Fabulous cocktails
Good chicken! Good service! Hacker beer was particularly good ...
We had a lovely meal at Foxlow Clerkenwell on our last night in London. With a vegetarian in our group, it's been a little challenging to find restaurants that have more than one vegetarian option. Foxlow Clerkenwell came through with numerous options (including starters, mains, and sides). All of the food was delicious and presented well. Tuesday is bring-your-own-wine night with no corkage fee, which is a bonus. Best part of the experience was the super-friendly and efficient staff. The restaurant is located close to the Museum of London and the Barbican Centre.
Beautifully crafted interior with a sense of style that slightly upstages the food. Cocktails very pleasant but rather weird that the Happy Hour selection includes two gin options but nothing with vodka in it. Slow but pleasant service; when we asked, the guy said: "yes our food is sitting on the pass right now" which made me wonder how long it had been sitting there! But it was tasty enough.
Fabulous night at Foxlow Clerkenwell, the food and the service was impeccable.
The vegan options we great and the sides delicious!
At the end of the night we tried the Strawberry Daiquiri - it was one of the best cocktails we have ever tried.
Great cocktails, excellent steak and fantastic service.
I went here for lunch with a couple of colleagues and we had a wonderful time. The food was delicious and the service excellent, despite the server being incredibly busy managing the lunch time rush. We booked but there are plenty of tables and, on a weekday lunch time, I think we’d have been alright just turning up. We’ll definitely come again for lunch or dinner!
Problems included serving cold food - and then trying to charge for the replacement as well as the original. Also got the order wrong and served a starter portion for a main course. Generally portions were small, and serving just one small side order with each main struck us as mean - spirited. The anchovy starter was ridiculous. Nevertheless, flavours were good and the house red glugged down nicely. Not a bad meal, but I wouldn't recommend.
Chicken was a bit dry but other than that everything was delicious and service was great
I was really impressed by the atmosphere when I walked in. We found our table (friends were already seated) but it took a very long time for the waiter to come over to us. We had to flag him down for some prosecco glasses and a cooler for our prosecco (it was BYO on tues night).
Our waiter was great. Super friendly and was great at answering our questions about the dishes. I went for the squid to start and whilst I do think they were a bit stingy with the portion considering it cost £8.50, the fact that it tasted so bloody good made up for it. The best I’ve had!
Overall the food was great and the fact that you can take your own wine on a Tuesday was a really great touch.
We will return!
Fantastic veggie & vegan options. Had the carrot hummus followed by halloumi fattoush salad, both absolutely delicious and light enough for lunchtime. Free corkage on Tuesdays is a welcome addition - will definitely be back (probably on a Tuesday!)
A great vegan main, sides and dessert available. Thank you!
8 of us on a corner table tucked under stairs - ok but removed most of any ambience.
5 of us had squid starters - rubbery, tasteless - if you hadn't read the word "squid" you wouldn't know what was in your mouth - £8.50 - atrocious.
Other food was fine - burgers always good - half decent steak - desserts.
12.5% auto service took the bill to £40 per head with only 1 bottle of house wine and largely burgers / vegetarian - so more expensive than Open-Table guide.
OK but not as good as reviews suggest.
Lovely place with good food, excellent house wine and friendly service. Brill value for money
Enjoyed all the courses , not massive but for us it was spot on so we had 3 courses which were all excellent
Pork ribeye and Foxlow burger are excellent as is the chocolate tart with cherries
Will definitely be a place to go to again and again ( this was our first time ) !
Excellent service, delicious food, very good vegan options.
Just around the corner from the soon to be bustling Farringdon, this branch of Foxlow is very welcoming. The staff are prompt, friendly and helpful and the food has been very good on both the occasions that I've been, and at a price that was well worth it. Not enough is made of the BYOB Tuesdays, but I guess that knowledge is a reward for the return patron. A strong recommend.
Great brunch spot!
Excellent food and good service. Steak cooked to perfection. Tasty puddings. Close to Barbican and some very cool pubs and bars.
I went for my birthday. While the food was nice there wasn't enough if it. My order arrived in dribs and drabs. The waitress misunderstood when I asked for the salad and chips with my steak and just bought the salad so I had to wait for chips. The salad was supposed to be apple and something (celeriac, perhaps) but not only did it lack flavour but I had to get the waiter to point out the apple which was virtually non-existent. He seemed to take offence at this. I had to ask for greens as, like I said earlier, there just wasn't enough food. Added to that, when the waiter came back he asked if I would like condiments and I asked for pepper sauce. So, another wait. Why was this not offered at the start? What upset me most was the bill - I was charged for the sauce and a £5 service charge! I think at the very least, there should have offered the sauce and one of the sides for free. In contrast later that evening, I went to a different restaurant where the meal for two was almost the same and that included several drinks and two courses. I won't go back.
Great steaks and great service . Corkage free Tuesdays is a real bonus
It was my friends birthday and I hadn't mentioned it to them but one of the waiting staff saw her birthday card and at the end of the meal they bought out a candle on her dessert. It was a sweet touch. The staff in general were friendly and knowledgeable about the food and certainly made sure our wine was topped up without being intrusive.
Solid fayre, good service, nice setting. Went for a family meal recently - we had the salmon curdo (very tasty), anchovy crisps (likewise), and then steak (reasonably well cooked and tasty, although slightly overdone). Solid, grill-based food.
Great breakfast, friendly staff and good coffee, perfect morning and experience
Very surprised, had been to Hawksmoor and heard mixed reviews about Foxlow, thought it was excellent. Good value, service and great atmosphere. Would go back
Staff were friendly and attentive throughout, the meal and cocktails were delicious. Would definitely recommend.
We had our team lunch the other day, absolutely loved that food. Lunch deal is such great value for money. Plus it was BYO wine on Tuesday, couldn't get any better! Many thanks.
The best full English breakfast I had in London—the traditional components, but all taken up a level. Delicious!
Great team, the right level of attention, fab foob
The drinks list is decent (Shaky Pete's Ginger Brew is always a great start!) the food is excellent, I would recommend getting a bone in steak, the flavour is great.
Fantastic food and service as always and really nice atmosphere
Had a great lunch. The food was really good, the cocktails were fab, but what really made it was the friendly, fun and attentive service by Lorenzo!! Many thanks.
