Franco’s = great service, buzy atmosphere, well cooked Italian food and decent value.
Good food in a vibrant atmosphere, I will be using Franco's again as its a new discovery for me
We've walked past Franco's many times over the years and always liked the look of it. We booked a table for 2 for lunch. I hadn't realised it had a downstairs and we were taken to a table there, but I declined due to my difficulty with stairs. I hadn't warned them about this when booking, but they managed to find us a street level table on a very busy day. Much appreciated. Nice food, well served (lobster linguine and pan fried monkfish both excellent). Bit pricey for what it is would be my main negative comment. £140 for two people, two course lunch plus coffee with just a single glass of indifferent Gavi and water.
Food is a good taste of Italy
but unfortunately for us the restaurant was empty so all the waiter were looking at us all the dinner and 1 seconde after we finish our plate they quickly make the table empty..
Weird atmosphere for a restaurant like this
Experience bill at the end
Lovely London venue. Great food and superb wine list
Late booking and Xmas so main restaurant was full, so can’t really complain about being seated in the outer restaurant opposite the bar. Young an inexperienced waiter who managed so mess up our drinks order twice, no big deal, hopefully the extended team will bring him on. Overall, Francos remains one of our favourite restaurant in Mayfair, fabulous location on Jermyn St.
We encouraged friends to join us for a pre -Christmas lunch at Franco`s ( my favourite for more than 40 years) and we had an excellent meal with great service. Outside Jermyn Street looked very festive. For me Franco`s is an institution in London. Other restaurants come and go but Franco`s has that staying power. Frank Sinatra loved it so it must be good.
Great spot for a business lunch. Had the starter Burrata and pumpkin dish and will be back just for that alone. Understated elegance with the food and service to match.
Beautiful food and lovely ambience
Great, easy going dinner in a beautiful setting.
Great service and atmosphere! Food was very good as well.
Food, service and ambience first class. Prices a bit on the high side especially wine but a lovely experience. We will return.
I arrived and the restaurant was very busy. I didn’t like our table and so asked to be moved. It wasn’t easy for the staff but they bent over backwards to accommodate our request. The new table was perfect and the evening went really well for us and our two kids. The food was simple but excellent. Thanks to Franco’s For making it a great night.
Classical italian Food. Best pasta. Excellent service and very attentive staff
Just love this place. The food is always top notch and the atmosphere always warm and friendly. Good old fashion restaurant with lots of history
Relaxed evening with a fine fish dish and very acceptable wine. Highly recommended.
Great service and wonderful food. The chocolates offered at the end of Dinner for our Anniversary was an extremely lovely gesture thanks
Couldn’t fault this restaurant. Family dinner, post theatre , pre train back home.
Staff were attentive but not overbearing.
Will definitely be on my ‘places to return’ list!
Room was too hot. Table was in a busy spot even though better tables were available. Service was rushed.
I like the food and the atmosphere.
I had the scallops to start and the Baked cod for main, not only healthy but very tasty indeed. A smart and enjoyable restaurant.
I was treating my son for achieving his DofE gold and we sat downstairs where it was quieter. Service was efficient and friendly. The food really was outstanding. I had a crab starter and my son had scallops. For main I had monkfish and my son tried venison for the first time. We both loved our food and the portions were so generous that we had no room for dessert. Will be going again just for dessert.
the quality of both the ingredients and the cooking is top notch. Like going back in time a little but in a good way. Went for four courses with the pan fried hake absolute perfection. One of the top couple of Italian restaurants in London.
Great quality Italian food, excellent selection, we had a diverse group and everybody loved it
Excellent food and good atmosphere. Will definitely come back
Great traditional Italian food. Quality as you can expect it
Great breakfast meeting. Professional service, quality food, Reasonable price. Table a little bit too close to each other. Won’t hesitate to go back!
As always Franco’s warm hospitality, clean and smart environment made the perfect setting for what I can describe as consistently the best food in London.
I made a reservation, had wonderful table, beyond excellent service, and top notch food. They made our special day that much better. I couldn't improve a thing simply wonderful.
Expensive but value for money. One of the best restaurants in London or anywhere else.
If you're looking for genuine Italian food in a relaxed and yet busy restuarant in the West End look no further. Franco's is as good as it gets. Jason the Maitre D' is a star.
A perfect restaurant in a perfect classical street with outstanding service and beautifully prepared food happy staff created the perfect evening for myself and two friends on holiday from Germany a very good example of fine restaurant dining in London a lovely evening. Thank you.
The service and food at Franco's was very good. I enjoyed the dining experience here and would return.
I have visited and dined at Franco's on many occasions it has to be one of my favorite restaurants in London and certainly the one I use the most. From the moment that you arrive at reception you know that the occasion will be good from start to finish. Franco's is uniquely suitable for all occasions.
Splendid food matched with spectacular service. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left every member of staff we encountered made us feel welcome and at home in the lively environment of your lovely restaurant. Thank you.
enjoyable dinner at Franco's. Food rarely lets you down and service was excellent. very busy evening as private party being held downstairs however that did not detract from the service. And as always you hae to smile at winnie the pooh.
Everything was of a high standard apart from the seating arrangements. Our table was originally destined for downstairs which was quiet and a bit lacking in atmosphere. When I asked for a change we wer re seated close to the entrance and the reception desk and made to sheer two tables. In future I would only book with the restaurant direct so that I could select a table in the main salon
Really well looked after and very slick service. The food was wonderful and cooked to perfection
Thank you we had a really lovely time will return in the not too distant future.
Excellent address, great food, pleasant service, cozy atmosphere
