   The food and service were very good and the price very reasonable. The entrance to the restaurant could be better as you walk in via the Holiday Inn and it’s not totally clear.

   We absolutely loved our meal, garlic bread to share, pasta dishes superbly cooked, could not fault any of it. Service was steady and at our pace. Evening meal and getting busy but noise level was not intrusive. Value in our opinion was very good . We have no hesitation in recommending this Italian restaurant and will certainly be visiting again

    There are not enough staff to provide good service. They are doing the best they can. This is actually a restaurant in a Holiday Inn. Food is as average as you’d expect from a Holiday Inn restaurant, but expensive.

    The service certainly could have been better, but the carbonara was the best I've had, beautiful. The atmosphere was great as there was no one else in the restaurant or the accompanying bar. I plan to go again for evening dinner.

    Lovely way to start the New Year with a one night stayover Had an evening meal booked at Fratellos - simply beautiful The breakfast the following morning - Full English knock out and a happy friendly Chef to make it even better

    Booked last minute and I can’t fault it, service was impeccable, food was to a good standard and when the bill came it was very reasonable! Would recommend and would go again, not bad at all!

    Food was really excellent. I was not impressed that by 7.15 they had run out of a wine. Also there were significant delays in service. Had to ask twice for water and the wine was simply dumped on the table in an ice bucket. I reiterate that the food was very good.

    Fantastic, lovely food , staff were brilliant. Good value. Woould definitely recommend Okay it has a small menu however if it all tastes as good as the food we had it would be a good trade off.

    We walked in and walked out the tables were so dirty and the chairs we told the waitress who said they can’t be I just cleaned them all I pointed out the beans all the over then we said what about that table she said oh I haven’t had time to clean that one. The place had no atmosphere and didn’t feel comfortable so we left. It was empty

    Unfortunately from arrival the service was slow and were only 4 other tables occupied. Food just about saved it from being a disaster. I took family here as many times had eaten at Fratello’s at Doubletree Hilton Newcastle Airport, which is fantastic. Don’t go, there are so many other great places to eat!

    We come to fratellos quite a bit as we only live down the road, however I have found the last couple of times it seems to be getting a bit more expensive. The menu hasn't the whow factor, I think they need to get back on track and give more choiceand it was difficult to read the menu, I've noticed im not the only one to make the same comment. Dont ask for feed back if you are not prepared to listen. The meal in Thursday evening was nice but it wasn't very hot I like my food hot so by the time you have finished my meal it's still hot. Still we will go back as its so handy to were we live. But I hope to see a improvement very soon mymeal it's still warm.

    Place lacked atmosphere. Menu's were so badly printed they were scarcely readable. Waiter acknowledged that many people made that point yet nothin had been done. So I read the online menu on my phone instead. But when I came to order, my choice wasn't available as the menu online wasn't updated. I wouldnt have eaten there had I seen the limited choice on the menu that was actually being used. Ended up with a very dull and flavourless pizza. Had olives to start and they hadn't been drained and were swimming in olive oil. The first olive I took was hollow and had a pool of olive oil in it that went straight down my new top. Not impressed. I gave up on the olives as it was impossible to get them out of the oil bath. I asked for a gin list but there wasn't one available and I couldn't understand the waiters accent so I have no idea what I actually drank! Staying for three nights in the hotel, but with lots of other great local options either just up the road or in central Newcastle, I'll be going elsewhere for the other nights.

    We went to Fratello's to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary as we had our wedding reception at the Holiday Inn. The service was excellent and the food was very good. Overall we had a very enjoyable evening

    Very friendly and helpful people when needed to make amendment to booking that could not be accommodated online. Clean and safe feeling, well distanced restaurant with welcoming staff. There was a longer wait than expected for food to arrive - but you could see that the staff were working very efficiently and had a large number of covers to service. It was also clear that additional staff were brought online through the evening to cope with the rush. The food was well cooked and came exactly as described - and there was good attention to detail and needs of those in our party with food allergies. A nice friendly relaxed atmosphere which made a good location for our family to meet up.

    Located on a very busy main road, the restaurant is inside the Holiday Inn. Parking on site was free but a nightmare - I had to park in a 'no parking' place and my friend who's disabled had to navigate a massive pile of laundry bags blocking half of the only unoccupied disabled parking space. Despite mentioning this at reception there appeared to be more bags present when we left. The meal itself started off well, lovely staff who found us a quiet table away from the main room as my friend is hard of hearing. But we had to wait a long time for our drinks order to be taken, then a long time for the drinks to arrive and the food order to be taken. When it did arrive the food (pizzas, potato skins, bruschetta) was really nice but throughout the evening we were never asked if we would like any more drinks which we did, and once the main course was cleared away we were just left alone and never asked if we would like to order desserts, which we would definitely have done. Eventually we gave up waiting and went to find someone in order to pay the bill. We won't be back.

    We booked for lunch and we were disappointed when we arrived to find we were the only table in. Lack of atmosphere and slow service considering we were the only people in. Only had a lunch menu available which wasn’t made clear when booking and the choice was very limited. However it was good value for money. Next time we would come back on an evening.

    there was only one member of staff . the food was a bit cold as if it had been standing for too long mentioned thuis to the manager who was the only one working . bit disappointed really as this was a lunch for my wife's 50th birthday

    Was in for an hour and only got two glasses of wine nobody came to ask us what we wanted to eat even though they walked by our table 4 times after asking the table behind us what drinks they ordered 3 times because the servers kept forgetting the order. It also took 30 minutes just to get those 2 glasses of wine we ordered. We left after that hour. No food just two glasses of wine.
