As well as two large dining areas, Frederick's has two private rooms and a secluded Garden for al fresco dining.
Frederick's also holds a marriage license.
Had a fabulous early dinner there on Saturday, beautiful weather so was able to sit out in the garden which was just idyllic. Gorgeous setting for a special occasion meal.
Lovely sitting in the garden. Excellent service. Enjoyed the set meal very much.
The food and wine were of the highest quality, This was a great dining experience as always.
Good food and service; we enjoyed our meal here. Recommended
Never disappoints and the food offering is fast catching up with the lovely ambience. Always a special occasion at Fredericks.
A really great evening. The food was delicious. The service was attentive and friendly but not intrusive. Overall, a lovely evening.
We have family in America who, when they come to London, make certain that a table at Frederick's is booked! The service, food, and atmosphere never disappoint, and there's a good variety on the menu to suit all diets. The wine list is well priced and the sommelier always helpful, keeping in mind the price point. Even on a crowded Saturday evening we had attentive staff who kept the water flowing and the table tidy for all three courses. It's Islington, so of course the prices may seem a bit steep to some, but the cost is well worth the experience. And the little chocolate truffle with the bill? Delish.
Excellent food, friendly and professional service, sommelier very funny.
Really lovely birthday treat for a friend in a relaxed and friendly restaurant. Lunch fixed menu is very good value for money at £17 for two courses and we paid £20 for a bottle of house white which was surprisingly good and went well with our whole sea bass main course. I’ve been here a few times before but in the evening and it’s busier and louder. Even though it was pretty full it was pretty chilled I think I prefer the lunchtime for a leisurely meal in a calmer atmosphere. We will be back!
Very good service, efficient and very pleasant. They were able to provide gluten free bread for one of my guests, and give information about ingredients, but it did of course make her choices more limited. The food is good, but I think not quite as good as it has been, but thoroughly enjoyable. The only thing that diminished our enjoyment was that it was very noisy. Overall, Fredericks is a restaurant I like a lot, and am always confident in taking people to, reliably good
Normally great service there - waited over an hour for main course.
Would go back but expect better
Great food and lovely atmosphere, perfect for dinner before a show at Saddlers Wells
A lovely space, but a little let down by service. No-one refilled our water glasses the whole time we were there, and no water bottle left on our table. Food was quite nice, although the fruit salad was very basic and tasteless. Main courses were very nice, though.
We went on a Friday night and the service, food and ambience was all superb, a great spot in Angel with a lovely quiet garden out the back too
Good value set lunch menu (choice of 2 or 3 courses), excellent service.
The restaurant is light and airy and the staff attentive. A good choice of dishes and wines.
We had a lovely meal with a young friend from home who is currently living in London. It was the perfect place - great food, no rush, so comfortable. I have eaten at Frederick’s several times and it is always wonderful.
It was a quiet Monday lunch so we got to sit in their really nice outdoor space.
Staff are so friendly and welcoming and the service is excellent - Food is delicious, never disappointed
We had previously come in for a glass of wine before we saw a show and liked the atmosphere of the restaurant and decided to come back for a meal. We were not disappointied! Fantastic food, delicious wine and great service from the staff. Look forward to coming back very soon.
As always, an excellent experience all round. The food was particularly awesome!
lovely setting .. very tentative service .. food are delicious .. set menu was a great price !!
We have eaten at Fredericks many times when attending the Sadlers Wells theatre and have never been disappointed ,the food is always excellent and the staff are efficient and friendly.
Went for dinner with a friend, everything was perfect and we were pleasantly surprised when the bill arrived.
Frederick’s offers top quality food, ambience and service at a great price. The Prix Fixe option (£17 for two courses, £21 for three) must be one of the best bargains in London.
We just love this place — it’s refined but not snobby, popular but not overly crowded, and the food is a perfect mix of fresh and light matched with heavier dishes. We especially love the sommelier, Erwin. His recommendation are spot-on! For dates or for inviting friends, we always have a great time.
Always a treat to dine at Fredericks. We have done so for years and it never disappoints!
This time - a special 70th birthday.
A wonderful evening- with great food and attentive service.
We will return
After the surly service at Nopi the night before Fredericks was a haven of class and friendliness. Delicious food served with a smile. Personable sommelier who has a great sense of humour. Thoroughly enjoyable.
Great early evening set menu with plenty of choice. We sat outside to enjoyed the garden view. Service was polite and well paced.
Great food, attentive service and a well-placed table in the garden. What better way for lunch?
The staff are so kind and helpful. The food was simply amazing, great choice, top quality wine and food! This is a brilliant restaurant, we have a top quality experience every time we visit!
Unbeatable alfresco dining in north London.
Another fantastic experience - this time for lunch.
Beautiful food and service. More of a treat as it's quite pricey but didn't begrudge paying it as had looked at prices and menu beforehand.
Peerless in every way. Value for money without any concession to quality or quantity
Excellent service, great environment and good food (gazpacho a bit too vinagery)
The sommelier was great and found us a v nice wine to go with our food, although we wanted something at the cheap end... he also topped us up regularly throughout the meal and was altogether great...
I love the spaciousness, artworks and trees, and the service was v good.
Was a little surprised to find two bones in a fish cake, though it was otherwise nice. Good chips, gazpacho and macchiato.
On a sunny weekday in The City, there are few treats more enjoyable than a long-ish lunch at Frederick's. The set menu is marvellous value, but did not choose it, this time. The sommelier, Erdwin (apologies for the spelling, I think) was informative and fun, bringing great value white and red wines. David
I have been coming here for over 40 years and have never had a bad experience
