I’ve had the tats tee menu on two separate occasions. It’s just over £50 a head. The flavours are amazing and the 5 courses plus a few extras are filling. No room for pudding.
The staff are charming, friendly and knowledgeable.
Book ahead, the upstairs isn’t very big. Try and book a table away from the door, it’s drafty in winter. Enjoy, I’ll be back.
Quite nice theater menu.
Excellent, from the moment we walked in we were greeted with such warmth. Our waiter and the rest of staff attentive, super friendly and kind. Food was amazing. Just loved everything about it can’t wait to revisit.
We had an early pre-theatre dinner and had the set menu, which was excellent value-£27 for two courses and £30 for three. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. We had delicious sourdough and butter with our opening glass of white wine-the crust was deliciously chewy with a lovely soft crumb. High notes included pappardelle with lamb ragu and burrata with kumquats for starters and pollock à la grenobloise for mains. Banoffe and a lemon and passion fruit tart were our two delicious desserts. The restaurant is attractive and friendly, though perhaps a bit too cosy-with quite small tables placed a little too close together. Overall, very good value for the high quality of food and I would definitely return.
counldt recomend this restaurant enough, the whole occasion was excellent from start to finish, it was my wife 40th so wanted something alittle special,,, and it did not disappoint, food, service, and cocktails where all fantastic, thank you frenchie.
Delicious food; lovely atmosphere. Portions on the small side but quality was excellent. Fantastic wine selection and really good service.
Second time at this restaurant and once again impeccable, delicious food and great service!
Can't be happier to come to Frenchie last week, we had a fantastic meal and the staffs were all very friendly, helpful and attentive. We go out a lot for dinner in London, this truly is one of the best dining experiences we have had for a long time, everything is just right, great vibe, amazing food and most importantly, the staffs are just so wonderful, knowledgable, engaging and very attentive. Have already recommended it to a few friends but I probably will regret it later because it will be harder to get booking :-)
Best oyster we’ve ever had and the tasting menu was amazing - my husband got the gnocchi and I got the chicken and both were delicious!
Excellent food, service and overall dining experience. Highly recommend.
Have been to the frenchie when it first opened the food was a lot better.
Great food and good fast service. Very expensive wine list however with few cheaper options exacerbated by rather too enthusiastic refilling of wine glasses by over-attentive waitress.
Everything is brilliant. Love the interiors, love the bacon scone!
Some dishes could be less salty.
Friendly, efficient, great menu, and fairly priced
I went a few times to Frenchie restaurant for different occasions and I have never been disappointed. The service is excellent and the food is memorable for a reasonable price. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Outstanding food and service. All parts of what we ordered and received were excellent.
definitely my favorite place in London. The food is beyond delicious and still surprises me after my fifth visit. The staff is amazing too, very knowledgeable and efficient. We had the tasting menu with wine pairing, I highly recommend it, it makes you travel all around the world and discover rare and elegant wines (and even a cider)
Just excellent! The food was truly brilliant and the service thoughtful.
One of the best meals I have ever had. Seriously can't wait to go back!
Excellent pre-theatre dinner! The staff went out of their way to accommodate our timing requirements. Both food and wine were really excellent. Tasty, fresh and beautifully prepared. Thank you.
Not saying this lightly as eating out in London restaurants is a big part of my life, but I think this might be my all time favourite restaurant. The food was absolutely divine, I had the sea bass ceviche and turbot and both were the kind of dishes you want to eat super slowly to savour every bite. Service was great, and the Henrietta (virtually) next door beforehand is great for a cocktail. All in all, 10/10 night - thank you!
We had a really excellent time. The food was exceptional, as was the service.
Expensive and very small portions (beautifully presented). My dinner guest and I went to Pret a Manager afterwards as we were so hungry, a shame as I really wanted to live this restaurant.
Just amazing all round as usual. Menu never stays still and the food is incredible. The service warm and spot on. We love it here so much.
My second visit and this time to celebrate our wedding anniversary. As before the food & service were fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed every mouthwatering bite. Very good wine list to choose from too. I have no doubt I’ll be back again, the bacon scones are an absolute must and just amazingly delicious 😋
We sat at the bar which was the nicest spot for people watching and sipping a glass of wine. The food was delicious, decor trendy and location prefect. As a local to London I’ve walked past Frenchie numerous times and never had the time to go. Definitely worth the wait. The only con was were asked to move to another table when we hadn’t finished our vino which was a tad frustrating as we were spending quite a bit and a definite treat for us. This slightly dampened our experience but overall a lovely experience and the staff we’re friendly, knowledgable and warm. 🥂
I had a wonderful experience with a friend last summer hence I decided to take my parents here in the winter for a meal.
The food was good though the service was mediocre- the waitress wasn't able to explain clearly the wine recommendation and whilst we have booked a table for 3, the table served was too small to support 3 main dishes at the same time.
Were made to wait a little while for starter/main then had to rush dessert/coffee.
SMALL PORTIONS. HAD TO GO TO BURGER KING ON WAY HOME.
Lovely staff however.
Great restaurant in the heart of Covent Garden. Very French! Fab food and value. The hake main course with the charred cabbage side was superb. Great value. The wine list was good. A bit different and some small producers featured. A bit toppy on price - £95 for a Saint Joseph 2015 is pushing it a little although it drank well. Service on the whole was good - welcoming but you had to work at it a bit, but generally all good. Will return.
An extraordinary restaurant. The food is so good I wanted to lick the plate! Intriguing flavors, exquisite presentation and ingredients that surprise and delight. Margot, our server added laughter and flair to our evening. We will return!
Grab the chef’s table downstairs. Attentive staff. Had the 3 course pre-theatre meal and we had plenty of time to walk to the theatre for the 7:30pm show. Did not feel rushed and the meal was divine. Favorite restaurant!
Good food - great service.
French food but with a twist
My wife and I had the 5 course tasting menu and wine flight. The food was delicious, well presented and we found the combinations of flavours and textures to really be exceptional. The sommelier was clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about his wines, all of which were new discoveries for us.
Unusual flavour combinations beautifully presented and served by friendly staff
Great customer service; helpful recommendations for food and wine; lovely selection of wines and cheeses - all a bit different
An absolutely gorgeous lunch. Can’t wait to go back!
Best meal we’ve enjoyed since the Ritz a few months ago. Without a doubt one of the best hidden gems we’ve found recently. Book it now before the Michelin team give him a star, or three
Five times and each as delicious as the last. Bacon scones a knockout. Fish scrumptious, and the caramel fluffy desert outstanding. This is my new favorite restaurant in the West End.
Great food. The best scallopps I ever tasted. However the service was a little rushed. There wasnt a long enough gap between meals and our drinks were topped up too quickly. It felt like we were being rushed along. However the food and wine did taste fantastic. If a little on the pricey side - but that's Valentine's Day for you!
