Fresco by Scotto
I was unimpressed by Fresco by Scotto. The food and service were just average. There are way too many Italian restaurants in NYC to settle for average. I choose this restaurant because one guest needed gluten free options which they had but it was just an average experience. I am not sure that I will return.
Great time! Great dinner! Dennis was excellent and entertaining! Would definitely dine there again!
Ridiculous prices but you know that going on. Having said that service should be impeccable and it was not. Blonde haired Dee ice annoying and kept a steady dialogue with the table next to us who were tourists from Virginia.
Our server was fantastic! She was an older female with short blowfish gray hair. In addition to the food, she made our experience special. We will definitely return!
Loved our table. Loved the attention. Loved the food. Loved it all!!
The restaurant can be loud at night but we live it for a late lunch or early dinner. The food is flawless and the service is exceptional.
Great food and service as usual.
The service here was incredible. The restaurant was very busy, but we had several servers stopping at our table throughout dinner to check if we needed anything. The food was very good; highly recommend the margherita pizza - one of the children ordered it and we all had a slice. It was a bit pricey for a family dinner, but the experience was worth it.
What an incredible location, incredible dinner, incredible staff!
Always an amazing experience at Fresco! Marion greeted us as we arrived. Our waiter was personable and very friendly. Service was timed perfectly between courses....not rushed...not too slow. Atmosphere couldn't scream NYC any better! Especially in early December to kick off the holiday season. Will keep going back again and again!
Amazing restaurant. Service is impeccable and the food melts in your mouth.
Great food and service, overall great experience! We will definitely go back!!
Service was very good but that was the only good part of the meal. My dish Gnocchi Cacio E Pepe was the worst ricotta gnocchi I ever had. The sauce was all butter and pepper. There was no cheese as there usually is with this dish. My wife’s dish was the rigatoni with eggplant. The rigatoni came out so undercooked you could cut your mouth. The eggplant rollatini and baked clams appetizer were tasteless. The Italian ricotta cheesecake was not authentic. This place must cater to tourists who have no idea what good Italian food is. The bill for two adults and one child was over $350 with tip. Overpriced terrible food. Will not return.
Good way overpriced for its level. Plate of pasta $37 is way too high.
Good food. Efficient, fast service. Great place. The burrata cheese was amazing. Great homemade pastas.
I have loved watching the Scotto family cook on the today show and wanted to try their restaurant. I made reservations well in advance of our New York City trip. I was surprised when we were seated in the front cafe room, not the main dining room. The ambience isn't nearly as nice in the cafe. We were seated in a tiny table that was wedged between many other tables. This is fairly common in NYC, but overly tight in the cafe.
The food was good, but not outstanding. The best part of our meal was the zucchini chips with gorgonzola. The appetizer came with potato chips also, but my mom is trying to eat low carb. They were very good, very thinly sliced and baked with gorgonzla drizzled on top. I ordered the ravioli specialty that was a chicken, mushroom and ricotta mixture. The pasta was very light and fresh, the filling was just ok. The sauce was a cherry tomato butter sauce that was mild in flavor. My mom ordered the meatball appetizer that came with a spoonful of ricotta on the side. It was very good and a large portion.
This place is not cheap. I had one glass of wine that was their house label. We split an app , had another app as a main course, plus my ravioli and it came to $160. You definitely pay a lot for the Scotto name. I'm glad I went, but won't put it on my list for a return visit.
Food was very good. Service was excellent. Looking forward to returning.
The most overpriced restaurant I think I have ever been too. I ordered a Cob salad -- I could not believe
the price was $45. It arrived small with a few bits of bacon and wilted lettuce. We will never return
and certainly will not recommend.
Fresco’s is a guarantee positive experience. Experienced 1st Class service combined with genuine quality Italian food every time all the time.

The best of NYC!
My favorite place to eat and socialize in NYC
Good food, great service but $29 for pizza?
Excellent food and service!!! Was searching for a place to eat on Open Table after our matinee and Fresco by Scotto came up. We gave it a try and so glad we did! Would highly recommend
We celebrated Thanksgiving st Fresco by Scotto. We had a great experience. My husband and youngest son had the turkey dinner. I had the salmon and my oldest son had the penne with chicken and veal. Each course was delicious. Highly recommend.
We had a superb Thanksgiving dinner. The service was so gracious and attentive. The food was excellent and the portions were very generous. Every course was delicious and fulfilling. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend Thanksgiving. They made us feel like family from the first hello to the last goodbye.
Thank you, Anthony Scotto for making us feel so at home. You’re the best host! And, thank you, Diego, for being so attentive. Thanksgiving was perfect!
Always a treat to dine at fresco. An amazing family place where the family is always there to ensure highest quality. Everyone is treated with family kindness when you arrive and leave.
Food was delicious and our waitress-Valetina was lovely. The owners we not friendly at all.
Excellent food, service and venue. We dine here practically every time we visit NYC. A favorite.
I love this restaurant. I have not been in a few years but it Iwas just as delicious as I remembered. Can't wait to come to NYC again and have dinner here.
Excellent experience. Great for a work lunch or dinner
Celebrating my husband’s birthday with friends. One of my favorite restaurants. Never disappointing. Service, food, atmosphere, and of course the Scotto family always par excellence. Cozy and elegant at the same time.
The food is so delicious it’s hard not to make this place our “go to” whenever we are in town which is at least once a month.
Food and service always great but just can’t justify the high prices
While food was good, service was poor. We had to ask twice for bread and waited more than 40 minutes for entrees. Maybe our waiter was having an off day, but it was very slow service. Very disappointing.
Love the food and feel of this place! Warm and inviting, this place is a long term favorite!
Outstanding meal. TheScotto family always goes out of their way to make the experience special
