Booked here as it is only 5 mins from home, when my adult children visited and I was not up to cooking, thought it might be a problem that they are vegans; really pleasantly surprised when there were actually a couple of options they could choose from. Desserts are usually not possible at most restaurants but here they rustled up an avocado and chocolate mousse absolutely delicious, really well done them. Followed up with coffee in their comfortable seating area, really nice relaxing evening. More

We enjoyed a relatively quiet mid-August lunch in Gee’s, opting to choose from the Express Lunch menu. The food was simply prepared but made with good quality ingredients so the salad starter was light and fresh and the chicken thighs with thyme and courgettes were particularly tender and tasty. The service was friendly and swift (but not rushed). Good wines by the glass. More

Prior the visit to zerodegrees I took a look the menu to find many I wanted to give a go, even down to the beers and cocktails. Upon arrival I experienced nothing but pleasantries, from the members of the bar staff along with the hostess. Starters was the Caprese salad which isn't the usual type of starter I'd go for. Turns out I really enjoyed the combination of flavours, an enjoyable way to start my 3 course meal. Along with the salad I also had a beer called the deep, not much of a beer drinker but that was nice. The main course was the peking duck pizza, now that was pretty spectacular taste and texture wise, I know it's just a pizza, but I personally have a love for pizza. I've had other peking duck pizzas in the past but that had a lot going for it, great pizza! With that I also got a Caribbean mojito, another great combination of flavours, might be a bit strong on the lime, but I enjoy sour tastes and didn't see it as an issue. When it came round to dessert I was debating whether to have one or not, glad I did, I went with the white chocolate and honeycomb cheesecake, three sweets I enjoy a lot normally and this combination did not disappoint. It was light like the hostess said and throughly enjoyable end to a really good meal. Will have to visit again to try out other items on their menu. Nice one zerodegrees! More
