Myself and my husband visited Sasso on Saturday 20th October. Having never visited Harrogate before I read the reviews before deciding on dining here. So glad we did, it was perfect from the beginning of our evening until the end. The staff were extremely attentive, nothing was too much trouble and they knew the menu very well. The food was amazing, the fillet steak was possibly the best we have eaten. I would definitely eat here again. Infact my husband has said that we would travel the hour and a half just to eat here again. MoreOpenTable Diner -

Welcome to The Castle Tavern
The Castle Tavern is a traditional public house located in the very heart of the Yorkshire Dales, in the beautiful cobbled market place of Richmond. Close to the magnificent Norman Castle and only a short walk from the spectacular River Swale, this is a truly wonderful area for a holiday or short break.
The Castle Tavern is under the management of Kevin and Lis Dodd, who together with a small but hard working team of staff, offer a warm welcome, real ales and great home cooked food.
We pride ourselves on sourcing our ingredients as locally as possible. From award winning sausages for breakfast from Cockburns butchers to sumptuous puddings and tarts baked by Britain’s Best Bakery finalists Angel’s Share bakery, just a few short steps from the pub.
The Hildyard Arms is a free house, with no ties to a pubco or brewery, which has been owned by the Hildyard family of Colburn for over three hundred years. It is run by The Richmond Brewery Company. The pub has been established here since at least 1823 and is one of the few traditional pubs in the Catterick Garrison area. We are proud to be the local for Colburn town and village.
The pub has recently been refurbished and the establishment brought up to date, we hope, without losing any of the traditional atmosphere present in the past. Thank you for your patience during the refurbishment. Come down and meet Dave and Fiona the proprietors, enjoy the new facilities and enjoy the pleasant drinking environment both for locals and visitors alike.
