We had an Anniversary dinner here. They have great attention to detail. I enjoyed everything on the four course dinner menu. I am a big fish fan and it was fun to try their varied fish dishes including bass, lobster, langoustine and sturgeon. Foie gras was also great. The atmosphere was nice. I felt like we had great privacy with curved table in a comfortable corner. It is right next to Bryant park which also makes it a fun place to hang out at after or before dinner.
One of the best meals I've ever eaten. Superb service. Expect to pay $200+/head at minimum, and closer to $300/head if you want the wine pairings.
It was wonderful. The service and smiles on everyone’s face was really noticeable. Knowledge of the courses by everyone. My daughter is 7.5 months pregnant and cannot eat raw food. The staff jumped through hoops to make sure she knew the contents of all the dishes and even suggested alterations to accommodate her. I on the other hand enjoyed the black truffle hamachi appetizer, trout with caviar and everything else we ordered and all the additional muses and breads in between. The chocolate is delicious.
We went to celebrate my wife’s birthday. It could not have been any better. We were greeted with a birthday card for my wife signed by the chef. The entire team that served us never missed the slightest beat.
The prix fixe menu gives you many delightful options. You can choose the normal four-course, or a tasing menu that is six courses.
We did the four-course. The fois gras was to die for. The best I’ve ever been served outside of France. (And maybe the best ever.)
If you want cheap, this isn’t your spot. If you want a memorable experience that is among the best New York offers, this is the one.
We did the nine course menu, with wine pairings. The food was wonderful, although I admit we were feeling too full by the end and almost wished we had gone with the six instead. The service here was truly amazing, and added an extra shine to the whole evening.
Excellent food, presentation, service delivered with warmth! They gave us a signed card by Gabriel along with a special dessert for our anniversary . The staff was extremely knowledgeable about each menu item.
Some top NYC restaurants don’t always have a welcoming attitude. Dining here was refreshingly unpretentious!
celebrating son’s BDay
Excellent attentive service, creative menu, great setting for a superb experience
Outstanding new restaurant in the style of JG. Worthy of the comparison, yet unique in ways, a must go!
good food, good services, recoommand a pricey truffle which is not necessary and too much flavour for the paired food
GK is simply wonderful. The food is inventive in concept and perfectly prepared. The service is impeccable. The dining event -- the front of the house, the attention of staff, the overall ambience, the pacing of the meal, the wise counsel by the somm on each of the many wonderful wines recommended -- is impeccably managed. I have eaten at many Michelin-starred restaurants in New York and around the world. GK is my favorite.
A beautiful evening for our anniversary! The food and service were impeccable and I would definitely return the next time I am in NY.
Beautiful dining experience … well deserving of its Michelin Stars.
This is one of our favorite spots in NY for a quiet excellent dinner. This night, the food wasn’t special, menu selection less exciting than usual.
Maybe we were put off by the obnoxious obstetrician from a NY city hospital who felt the need to tell OB stories at the top of his voice without the maitre d’ settling him down — in really top restaurants they still do handle clients who are behaving like idiots.
Gabriel Kreuther never ceases to amaze us. We have come a few times to the restaurant, and each time there is something new and exciting about the menu. The service is amazing, and our waiter even recognized us from when we have come previously! The food is impeccable and the ambiance is upscale but relaxed. Can not wait to come back here again!
The restaurant is without question one of the finest that I have ever been to. Just awesome from start to finish!
Gabriel Kreuther is a special experience. It's very personal and very private. The food is delicious and prepared in a way that you have not experienced before. Service is gracious and attentive. They make you feel like the only client in the room. A bit of paradise.
This was my initial visit to Gabriel Kreuther. I was in NYC a bit unexpectedly for a meeting solo, randomly checked several Michelin star restaurants, and as luck would have it a table was available at 8:30 p.m.
The food was quite delicious, especially my lamb main, and the presentation was stunning - much as you'd expect from this quality and stature of restaurant. But my ratings aren't stellar for a few reasons.
First, there was inconsistency in the servers. It felt a bit random and not well orchestrated.
Second, and this was much more annoying, every interaction felt like a slightly slimy upsell: wondering why I wasn't having caviar after I had made my selections, offering twice to add truffle to my pasta, suggesting the more expensive wine pairing after I selected the basic one. I understand the desire to generate a better experience and the revenue associated with it, but this felt in my face and blatant. Not nuanced and professional.
Finally, I had requested sparkling water. I finished one bottle and during dessert another appeared and was opened and poured into my half-full glass. When the check arrived, two sparkling bottles at $12 each were recorded. It pained me, but I looked at my full glass and the nearly full bottle and told the waiter I wasn't paying for the second bottle. The high pressure upgrade tactics and an extra $12 water just combined to give me an uncomfortable and unwelcomed feel. I am not the type to question charges usually, but this was just all too much.
With those caveats, I'd certainly recommend a visit. Just know there will be some "used car" sales feeling coming along with the otherwise delicious meal in a stunning environment.
The food was beautifully prepared . The service was outstanding. The room was stunning!. But I found some of the food possibly too "busy" in terms of flavors. And our $155. price fixed meals came to $500. without the tip....which made it $600. Add that to the $60 parking fee. A VERY costly evening! I loved the extra touches in between courses but some missed the mark. Pretty....but just OK. Don't know if I would return but it was quite the fine dining experience.
Simple fantastic. Some of the best food and service ever received. This is our 6th Michelin restaurant, and by far the best thus far.
Exquisite meal as always here with top notch food & service. Desserts are amazing & worth a special occasion dinner out.
Although the service was not perfect( they gave me the incorrect order twice) we enjoyed our experience very much.
Gabriel Kreuther’s outstanding staff left no detail unattended. From the attentive service given to each diner, to the knowledgeable recommendations for wine pairings, to the exquisite preparation and presentation of each dish, every aspect of our wonderful meal was carried out to perfection. A truly memorable experience!
Service was great and food was very good. Ambiance was the main highlight. Definitely a great pick for a special occasion!
I have no words to describe our experience at Gabriel Kreuther. Absolutely recommended for any occasion.
Highly recommended! A fabulous fine dining experience.
A lovely experience. Apart from the fine cuisine, the wine list is both deep and broad and there are bottles to meet all tastes and budgets. Lunch is really a peaceful oasis in the seething mass of Midtown Manhattan.
This restaurant is highly recommended for a different dining experience that combines delicious servings in an artistic presentation. The staff is professional and attentive. The decor that includes old beams, beautiful framed art and flower arrangements is worth a visit on its own. It's an excellent dining experience.
Simply wonderful. The cocktail inspired amusee Bouche was awesome. Simply simply wonderful.
my husband took me there for my birthday. Greeting was wonderful, BD card on the table was a very nice touch. BUT.... the food was very disappointing! For 2 Micheline stars it really was bad! No taste in any of our dishes. Small portion is not a problem for us, we don't eat big portions, but these were very small. 3 courses of bread i guess were supposed to supplement our meal. I've been to a lot of Michelin Star restaurants in NYC but this one doesn't deserve it in my opinion. Nice decor, spacious but the food is not worth even $200 never mind $500 that we paid.
Wow, just wow. Ingredients, technique, and presentation are all top notch. The wine list isn't for the faint, but it's extensive and full of rare finds.
Amazing all around.
Superb food, presentation stellar-- elegant and sublime, service perfect. No hovoring, yet anticipatory when you need them. A business lunch which is usually pedestrian even in many of the best venues, turns into a destination experience and yet I got my deal done. Everyone leaves in an upbeat, exhilerated state of mind.
Wonderful service, food and ambience resulted in a memorable experience (even for a business meal).
The food preparation was on point. On the whole, the meat dishes were a bit better than the fish dishes and the desserts were more creative than the entrees. Service was attentive, but not overly so.
Outstanding meal, service and beautiful decor. My husband and I were thrilled with our experience. The service was flawless, the food was creative, beyond delicious and the room was spacious and nicely decorated. We enjoyed the table side service of the leeks-that dish was spectacular and full of flavor. Would 100% recommend for a special occasion! Thank you!
Truly amazing food and service. We came here for my spouse's birthday, and we couldn't have picked a better place. Thank you to everyone at Gabriel for a special night!
Staff were phenomenal and the food was great. Expensive but still enjoyed the value.
Duck tart is too salty, but it didn’t influence everything else which is amazingly tasty with 2 star standard. We ordered 6 courses, but including dessert and appetizers, we had 10 arounds of food plus tea which is really worthy deal. Definitely recommend tourists on a budget like us to have a Michelin experience in here. Totally worth it!
