Located at 32 Crighton Place In the middle of Edinburgh’s famous Leith Walk, Gaia is a family-run restaurant and café serving Italian specialties. Waverley Station can be reached in a little over 5 minutes by car or taxi and the Playhouse Theatre and Calton Hill UNESCO World Heritage Site Holyrood Palace are both 10-15 minutes' walk away. The cosy interior of the restaurant-café – which also houses a delicatessen – has a classic, trattoria-like décor and cheerful ambience. Gaia specialises in Sicilian cuisine and offers a range of delicious, freshly-made paninis. These can be custom made from a selection of meat, cheese and vegetables available at Gaia's deli. Appetising hot and cold antipasti can be enjoyed for a delightful brunch or snacking experience. Their home-made pasta dishes, soups and salads are best enjoyed with a cup of frothy mochaccino or aromatic tea. The menu also features daily-updated chef’s specials.
