Galleria - Cambridge
Italian food is always a great idea, especially at Galleria! Food was really really good, the service was friendly and the atmosphere was very nice.
a good setting, excellent food and wine. Very good service
Great food, great service and great value for money as well. Will definitely be eating there again
Great location , staff very friendly food was presented well and arrived quickly and was very good
The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The drinks however were rather expensive. Also the toilets are not in great condition and by the back door which was open all night so was very cold. All in all though, I would highly recommend and would return myself!
The quality of the food was outstanding! Really tasty, well presented, perfect portion.
The service was incredibly slow, but it was a busy bank holiday and understaffed
The menu on open table is about £2-3 cheaper than the one in the restaurant - which is slightly frustrating when planning on a budget.
Always recommend this place. Quality of food is great, reasonably priced and something on the menu for everyone. Staff always pleasant and I look forward to eating here.
We had a wonderful Waiter to start with and the surroundings are amazing food was great but when the second waitress came along it all turned bad left to sit in for 20 minutes with the pudding menu just ignored us.Overall I would definitely go back again
So the water was nice as was the view! However, the service was poor, there was no atmosphere and the food was terrible. The waiter simply said your table is on the balcony and didn’t show us to our seats so we had to guess which table was ours. The food was very bland and not that hot. The waiter showed poor attention to the table. We had to set the table ourselves as the knives and forks were just placed in the middle. When I complained that the food wasn’t great it took me three attempts to say it as the waiter ignored my comments. He then made a rude comment that we had eaten our food (this is true as we were very hungry). Although he deducted money from the bill his attitude with dealing with the complaint was very poor. I have eaten here in the past and it was lovely. We will never return to this restaurant.
Wonderful and friendly service but terrible pastas, no taste what so ever
My daughter and I recently enjoyed lunch outside on the lower floor overlooking the River Cam. This is a great spot as you can enjoy watching the punting going by.
The food served was absolutely delicious, fresh produce, great flavours, all beautifully presented. Our waiter was charming and even offered us blankets. Service was faultless. We will definitely be returning here!
I enjoyed everything about the restaurant including the great staff and the nice food. One recommendation would be to just clean up the finishing touches for Example the toilets and the outside balcony's just need a touch up of paint.
We returned here as we had loved it the last time we visited. We were not disappointed and the food was delicious and reasonably priced . Service is friendly and pleasant . Weather didnt allow us to sit outside but we would like to go back and enjoy sitting by the river. Recommend the crab linguine which was delicious.
Had a very enjoyable birthday lunch here. Lovely outside table watching the punting on the cam . Good food and service.
Great location over looking the river. We had a terrace table with a fab view. Food was lovely and surprisingly large portions which was great with some tasty cocktails. Excellent service - the only tiny complaint is that they don’t have a cheese option on the desert menu which is odd - but overall a great experience
Lunch was absolutely perfect
Could not fault a single thing
Great venue, amazing views of River Cam, great value for money
We will return
We haven’t been here for a few years. But it did not disappoint us. The food and service was very good and the lunch time menu had a varied choice to suit all palettes. Gin and tonic seem expensive but it’s trendy.
Very efficient staff - food and cocktails both outstanding- definitely recommend
New Favourite Restaurant! Food was great right from the starters to the dessert!
Had a lovely lunch with hubby and friends. Great service and sat in window so great position. Had the mackerel pate (yumo) to start the monk fish main. Only thing I can say is a bit more sauce would’ve been good but tast was lovely. Tiramisu for dessert. Beautiful gin drink too (spit roasted pineapple gin). Can’t wait for it to be warmer so we can sit on balcony.
Very nice food, service was good, if perhaps a bit quick. I had the king prawns as a starter and then the Moroccan chicken - both were delicious, but those who like large portions may be a bit hungry and will require a pud!
Ideally placed for a pre-theatre meal when attending the ADC theatre. We booked for 17:00 on a Saturday and the restaurant was empty when we arrived but soon started to fill thereafter.
Prices were reasonable but the food is not good at all.
Unfortunately, our meal here was very disappointing. The food was edible and we didn't have a dreadful experience but we had gone out for a special, celebratory meal and it really isn't the place to go for such an event. I used to love the Galleria but hadn't been here for a couple of years and it has really gone downhill - the restaurant itself seemed shabby (though this is probably in comparison to all the newer shinier restaurants out there), the menu looks great and the food reasonably priced (for a special event) but it really didn't deliver - over-cooked lamb, over-cooked duck, and relatively tasteless. My friend from out of town was taking me out for my birthday and I had chosen the restaurant. I was embarrassed and won't be going back until I hear that there have been vast improvements. Don't go if you are wanting to have a special evening or to celebrate something - you will be disappointed.
Galleria came highly recommended on OpenTable and other websites - and it is well-deserved. We had a lovely, tasty, reasonably-priced lunch in pleasant surroundings. The waiter was very friendly and helpful from start to finish, making it an even more enjoyable experience. We will definitely be back.
One of the nicest meals I’ve had in a long while
Excellent food and service, very enjoyable, thank you
Very enjoyable meal, good choice on menu, good service, pleasant atmosphere. Would definitely go again.
other comments: a modern restaurant with hard surfaces. Background music
Great find and amazing food
Service great and friendly
Definitely will return - Moroccan chicken was delicious
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the menu had a good variety. Great fun watching the punting on the Cam. We sat outside which meant we were quite close to the other tables but this was no problem. The service was timed perfectly quick but not rushed attentive but not constant fussing,; just right.
The wasps were the problem!
Food and service was great
But pasta not aldente
Our always place to eat when we come to Cambridge for our weekends away
Restaurant was a great experience.
Food, service and views made for a great combination.
Mussels to start, great sharing starter.
Smaller portion sufficient for Two.
As the day was hit both selected salads;
- Smoked Salmon
- Arabic Chicken with Apricot
Both are recommended if you would like a lighter/summery meal. My preference was the chicken and apricot.
And I would say a Must eat for those with a sweet tooth is the Sticky Toffee Pudding with sauce and ice cream.
Excellent food and good value for money. Service was friendly without being overbearing.
A really lovely riverside restaurant, with nice view, excellent service and fresh, imaginative dishes. Can't wait to go back!
Great position, helpful staff and lovely ambience. Food and service disappointing.
Very friendly staff delivering excellent tasting food and cocktails, good value for money given the location next to the " Cam". If the weathers kind try for the terrace overlooking the river and enjoy watching the Antics of those that can and cannot punt.
This is a perfect place to people watch. We were lucky to be seated on the terrace outside and had a hoot watching the tourists trying to master punting.
The service was slow, another guest had to ask the waitress if there was table service or if it was self service. The food was pretty lacking in flavour and quantity. It was also overpriced.
