Had a vegan 7 course tasting menu for my partners birthday. It was amazing. The service was fantastic as well and would recommend anyone who is vegan to try this restaurant out. We thought the 7 course tasting menu wouldn’t be filling, however we were wrong. It was filling enough for both of us.
The staff members were polite and if we didn’t like something they would change it up.
My partner enjoyed his birthday very much.
Exceptional food, service and a sommelier (Stephen) who knows his white Burgundy wines better than anyone I have Er met. This is our new “go to” restaurant in London and the cheese selection is also amazing!
Absolute delicious 3 course Sunday Roast on the set menu.
Really really lovely evening. It's a lovely room of course but all six of our dishes were exceptional (we ordered from the three course Opentable offer). Service too was terrific (and they very generously took a couple of things off because of a minor mix up which had affected our enjoyment not a jot) and we enjoyed everything enormously. Wine pretty pricey but par for the course I suppose. Definitely on the list for special evenings.
Great place, great food, great service. A+
Very pleasant 3 course Chef’s Menu lunch, was a gift from family. Service from welcome right through to farewell was great, not over attentive but there in a flash when needed. Food was amazing, with three ample choices for each course. Ambience is great and the architecture of this old church very impressive and fascinating. Very enjoyable experience all round.
Beautiful building, food and service. We’ll be back.
Great food and lovely atmosphere
The 3 course set menu was absolutely fantastic- I would highly recommend the lobster bisque and sea bream, both were delicious! Considering the nature of the restaurant and the set menu for £43 was excellent value- will be going back!
Everything about it was amazing! I want to go back just for the soufflé desert!!! The marshmallows with coffee are amazing! Highly recommend the restaurant.
Also they were very helpful with my food allergies.
Amazing venue walking distance from Liverpool St. Good food and service.
Excellent food, amazing service and gorgeous setting. A truly special evening.
Fantastic Sunday Lunch, the food was exquisite. Thank you!
Special for a special occasion
Great seven course meal was incredible
Excellent Sunday lunch during Christmas season: really good menu. Roast excellent and my family enjoy the Christmas pudding as well.
The food wasn’t exceptional however the service was!!! Extremely attentive and we were extremely looked after very french style
The lobster cake and bisque was extremely salty FYI
Top class as usual
Very disappointing cooking. The pumpkin soup was spoiled by unnecessary cream cheese and the risotto was just inept. Rice overcooked not enough wild mushrooms and far too much cheese including unheard of strips of cheese. Sludge really.
The food was ok, but I told the staff I was vegan and they served me risotto with cheese on it
From the lovely and impressive room to the excellent and friendly service everything was faultless. The food was very good apart from a critic on one course from the tasting menu, which was my taste rather than a fault. I shall definitely return.
Really lovely afternoon enjoying the tasting menu. Excellent service, was made feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend.
Simply outstanding from start to finish. Service was exceptional.
A Beautiful building, nicely decorated
Upon arrival they seated us but no one seem to care to ask for a drink or bring the menu
After 10 minutes we were able to attract attention and be able to order the wine
At the same time there was a strange smell around our table but they were able to move us to a different table.
It did take a while before we got the wine on the table as the sommelier was busy
As we eat often at Michelin star restaurants this was not a great performance to be honest
Excellent service and very nice food. Would recommend.
Great for a special occasion, wonderful high end food and service, and very accommodating to us with a small baby in a pram. Highly reccomend
We had a lovely time. The food was amazing and the service was attentive, warm and friendly. The location is beautiful and with the tasting menu paired with wine it was reasonably priced for the quality.
Would recommend for a special occasion.
The ambient so beautiful, service empacable and food so delicious!!
Just watch your spending, since you can easily get mesmerized 😁😃
Dined here twice, the food the 1st time was decent but it wasn't great the 2nd time around, not what I'd expect for a 1 star Michelin restaurant and certainly not with the prices charged. The terrine was completely inedible and the guinea fowl was incredibly salty.
Got the special tasting menu and matching wines. Portions were extremely small, wine pairing was really not good. Tiny portions of wine of very mediocre wines. Service I’ve was very slow and not pleasant. Not sure how this restaurant has a Michelin Star! Overall way overpriced with average food.
The waiter recomanded chefs menu. When we wanted to order he said it's too late because it was few minutes after 19:00. It looked like he didn't really wanted us in the restaurant. It was humiluating
I always enjoy eating here. The service is impeccable, the food and menu choices broad enough to cover all appetites, and it's also a slightly quirky venue to boot.
The environment is perfect but we don’t enjoy the starters and the desert we ordered, the beef is okay
We had the 10th anniversary celebration tasting menu with wine pairing. The food was superb: very subtle combinations of flavours, cooked to perfection. The wines selected for the wine pairing were spot on, carefully sourced from a wide variety of regions and domaines, including some quite rare finds. The service was excellent: friendly, attentive and efficient. The sommelier in particular was very knowledgeable and talked about each wine in detail. The splendid setting of this former chapel is the final thing that made this meal a special and memorable occasion. Pity about the background music: too pop, when something cooler and a bit more sophisticated would, in our view, have been more appropriate for the place - but that's a very minor detail.
Such a good restaurant - I always look forward to going there and have never been disappointed. Roast beef lunch was immaculate.
Delicious food! And amazing help choosing some great wines to pair.
We ate at Galvin La Chapelle as part of the London Restaurant festival. The menu was a tasting menu of their favourite meals. The service was amazing, attentive but not over the top. The food was good but both my husband and I felt slightly underwhelmed... I would try it again, but probably not until I have ticked a few other places off my list.
food was lovely and service was attentive, however the lighting over our table was very bright and this made the table very hot. We were all sweating and it was a cool and rainy September day. Unfortunately this impacted our enjoyment of the meal.
Food and service were outstanding. It's a very hushed atmosphere though - felt like we had to whisper as the neighbouring tables were very close and the room is quiet.
