It was so lovely to go to the Galvin-such a special place.
The usual high standard, Franco Becci his usual brilliant self. Only fly in the ointment was the next table, a couple with an extremely unduly and noisy child.
lunch is superb the set menu is wonderful service the best
Outstanding food and fantastic wines. Great ambiance and excellent service. Definitely worth a drive.
Incredible food and service!
Celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary, everything was outstanding. Superb service!
We had a good lunch. The service is excellent and the setting superb. I was a little disappointed with the food. It was not as good as I expected. It may have been my choices - scallops followed by lamb. The scallops were good. The lamb was a little more raw than rare for my liking. The tarte tatin was nice. Overall, it was a nice lunch made good by the superb service and setting. The food should have been the star but it wasn't which does impact the value rating.
High end food enjoyed by us all. The food is rich in flavour and the portion size just right for a satisfying meal. The wine list is extensive with something for everyone. The Cornish crab lasagne starter was faultless and divine.
Always excellent, the staff are wonderful and very professional, nice atmosphere, great food. Recommended.
We had one of the most amazing meal we ever had.
The staff was very kind and attentive.
Food was superb.
We will go back for sure
Absolutely fabulous tasting menu with wine pairing. Service was spot-on and I thought the COVID-19 arrangements were both effective and subtle. Definitely on my list of regulars.
5 stars experience. Location great, food great. Nothing else to add ;)
Beautiful restaurant, delicious food, great service.
We’ve been here many times before. As usual our meal was superb. We had the lunch Chefs menu which was good value with the extra Rishi discount, tasty and beautifully presented. There was no VAT discount though. We also had a white Rioja with it which we loved, finishing with cappuccinos and petit fours.
We love the venue but the only issue was the excessive heat. The air conditioning wasn’t strong enough but we did feel sorry for the staff wearing masks and suits! There is an outside space option but it wasn’t enticing enough. Needs more planting really and made prettier.
It was nice to note that La Chapelle has adjusted well to dealing with the challenges posed by COVID 19. Apart from a little extra spacing to maintain social distancing, everything was as usual: excellent food, service and atmosphere. Will be going again soon.
Yet again, La Chapelle demonstrated its great strengths: top-notch food in a really attractive and quite spectacular building, but with service that's friendly, human, and not in the least bit up itself.
Nice to have a separate vegetarian menu. Overall good was nice, we had a taster menu , some courses were abit more adventurous and different. Others were boring and could have been of the same standard as the others .
Very good experience. This is a place I have been to before & will return to, often.
Had a vegan 7 course tasting menu for my partners birthday. It was amazing. The service was fantastic as well and would recommend anyone who is vegan to try this restaurant out. We thought the 7 course tasting menu wouldn’t be filling, however we were wrong. It was filling enough for both of us.
The staff members were polite and if we didn’t like something they would change it up.
My partner enjoyed his birthday very much.
Exceptional food, service and a sommelier (Stephen) who knows his white Burgundy wines better than anyone I have Er met. This is our new “go to” restaurant in London and the cheese selection is also amazing!
Absolute delicious 3 course Sunday Roast on the set menu.
Really really lovely evening. It's a lovely room of course but all six of our dishes were exceptional (we ordered from the three course Opentable offer). Service too was terrific (and they very generously took a couple of things off because of a minor mix up which had affected our enjoyment not a jot) and we enjoyed everything enormously. Wine pretty pricey but par for the course I suppose. Definitely on the list for special evenings.
Great place, great food, great service. A+
Very pleasant 3 course Chef’s Menu lunch, was a gift from family. Service from welcome right through to farewell was great, not over attentive but there in a flash when needed. Food was amazing, with three ample choices for each course. Ambience is great and the architecture of this old church very impressive and fascinating. Very enjoyable experience all round.
Beautiful building, food and service. We’ll be back.
Great food and lovely atmosphere
The 3 course set menu was absolutely fantastic- I would highly recommend the lobster bisque and sea bream, both were delicious! Considering the nature of the restaurant and the set menu for £43 was excellent value- will be going back!
Everything about it was amazing! I want to go back just for the soufflé desert!!! The marshmallows with coffee are amazing! Highly recommend the restaurant.
Also they were very helpful with my food allergies.
Amazing venue walking distance from Liverpool St. Good food and service.
Excellent food, amazing service and gorgeous setting. A truly special evening.
Fantastic Sunday Lunch, the food was exquisite. Thank you!
Excellent. Went on groupon deal.
Special for a special occasion
Great seven course meal was incredible
Excellent Sunday lunch during Christmas season: really good menu. Roast excellent and my family enjoy the Christmas pudding as well.
The food wasn’t exceptional however the service was!!! Extremely attentive and we were extremely looked after very french style
The lobster cake and bisque was extremely salty FYI
Top class as usual
Very disappointing cooking. The pumpkin soup was spoiled by unnecessary cream cheese and the risotto was just inept. Rice overcooked not enough wild mushrooms and far too much cheese including unheard of strips of cheese. Sludge really.
The food was ok, but I told the staff I was vegan and they served me risotto with cheese on it
From the lovely and impressive room to the excellent and friendly service everything was faultless. The food was very good apart from a critic on one course from the tasting menu, which was my taste rather than a fault. I shall definitely return.
