Critical acclaim has been heaped upon Galvin La Chapelle, a true destination restaurant and with good reason. This fabulous dining spot, just off of London’s famous Bishopsgate is the work of celebrated Chef-Restaurateur brothers, Chris and Jeff Galvin, and epitomises their approach to designing and running restaurants in every sense. Indeed, Galvin La Chapelle has all the wow-factor of Windows with the stylish refinement of Galvin Bistrot de Luxe while carving out its own very unique character at the same time. The interior is truly special, as is the food – cosmopolitan, continental and wholly elegant every step of the way, creative but familiar, special but unpretentious – no wonder Galvin La Chapelle was named Tatler’s Restaurant of the Year 2010 and AA Best London Restaurant 2010.

We enjoyed our birthday celebration. The food and wines were lovely and we would love to go back for a Sunday roast. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Very enjoyable business lunch. Food was delicious and sufficiently varied on the 3 course lunch offer. Good selection of wine too. Service was generally attentive though we did have the odd delay having drinks topped up. The setting itself is quirky and a welcome change from your typical restaurant, though on a hot day like we had it was a touch too warm inside for my liking.

Wonderful food, fresh, high quality with fantastic tastes, flavours and presentation. Well deserving of having a Michelin Star. The crab lasagne and Chateaubriand were outstanding. The service we experienced was attentive, considerate, professional and understanding to families and children. I found the ambience to be relaxed and comfortable at lunch time. Overall our experience was first class and I would absolutely recommend this restaurant in a heartbeat to any lover of good food and good service.

Excellent lunch was had by all my team! Went for a leaving do & had a special offer of 3 courses plus a glass of wine. Both starters were delicious (duck liver parfait & cod in lobster bisque sauce). Mains were equally tasty & well presented. I had sea bream with veg & light curry dressing, which was a treat. Will definitely go back for another special occasion (not normal lunching sadly due to price)!

Galvin La Chapelle suited the 3 of us for a business lunch, surroundings, service. The set meal had a disappointingly small choices; no amuse bouche disappointing also when considering the price of the meal.
Convenient for business lunches and dinners for those travelling and working in the vicinity of Liverpool St Rail Station.
Interesting history of the building and very pleasant surroundings.

This has been the best dining experience we've ever had. Not only the food and the ambience were superb (and they have always been since we started going to Galvin 4 years ago), but service was outstanding. This is what made a difference compared to other times we went. Under Carlo's management, the service was perfect: friendly, not stuffy at all, super professional, and full of attention. We had a fantastic time and cannot thank Carlo's team enough for making our friend's birthday a night to remember. I could go back only to meet them all again, which says it all!

This restaurant is perfect for that special occasion. The staff were very professional from reception to waiters and waitresses. The food was so good too. Would definitely recommend.

Even the food was excellent, I was very disappointed with the Open Table deal. They announced an offer of 39 pounds two meals plus a glass of wine and when we arrived to the restaurant they didn’t have that option. We ended paying the double of what we had planned, so obviously I have mix feelings about the experience. The food was great but you can’t do that to your clients. People live with tight budgets and having to pay double is def not cool... I don’t know whose fault was it (either the restaurant or open table) but I was the one penalized

Had vegan business colleague so amazing to find vegan tasting menu. Also go good info on vegan wines but annoying that the wine pairing for vegan menu wasn’t with all vegan wines.
Overall great dining experience and my vegan colleague thoroughly loved it!

We had the seven course taster menu. Consistently lovely food although there were a couple of long waits between courses so the meal was 3 hours in the end, but that's fine as it was a nice relaxed atmosphere and we were in no rush. We left feeling full as they don't scimp on servings unlike some similar establishments. Service was fantastic without being overbearing. Beautiful décor inside. Very highly recommended.

Carlo and Gaetano led a small crew of staff who spun an enchanted afternoon for four people. Akin to Babette’s Feast, our dining experience was elevated to Eden...7 courses of heavenly food accompanied with the perfect wine for each!

Lovely venue. I had the signature dishes of crab lasagne and pigeon. Both were very tasty and beautifully presented. My friend had the beetroot salad and cod. Very nice as well. Good venue for a date as well as just catching up.

Dined on the set lunch menu - the starter of cod & lobster (croquette style) was really nice - if a little small. The Main of chicken was tasty and succulent - however you might expect more impact/flavour from such a restaurant. The hot choc fondant pudding - always a crowd-pleaser did not disappoint - however again - a special touch would have been good.

Overall it was decent and for 3 courses and a glass of wine good value. I guess I was just hoping for something more special / unusual from the food given the michelin star. Spectacular vaulted ceiling though.

This was my first visit to the restaurant although I’ve dined at other Galvin restaurants.

My friend and I both ordered the seven course tasting menu. The staff were attentive and the food was wonderful and beautifully presented. However, we were disappointed with the slow service. There was a very long and unexplained gap between the second course and the third one. This meant that we felt stressed because we had to rush to catch trains around 22:30 even though we had arrived at the restaurant around 19:00.

Lots of ambience, unique building, efficient service and delicious food... what more could you like?

Service was prompt but not overbearing, with a cheery waitress who smiled genuinely and welcomingly. Wine was tasty and matched our meal well.

We went for the 3 course set menu for £38 which was very good value for money. 2 courses is equally good value at £34. The Chicken Supreme was particularly delicious - with crispy skin and super smooth potato puree.

The restaurant itself is in what looks to be an old church, with an amazing vaulted ceiling with a mezzanine floor with extra seating.

Highly recommended for dates, celebrations or just a delicious meal!

As this was a special occasion we went for the tasting menu with accompanying wine. What wonderful food it was. It was all very good but our particular favourites included the crab lasagne, mushroom risotto and the brie. The accompanying wines worked very well in the main and the sommelier was very good. The staff in general were very attentive. An attractive venue with a good balance of music.

I went back to Galvin La Chapelle for dinner with clients last week. The decorative mix between old and new in the style of the restaurant always impresses and the cuisine remains of a high standard. The wine list is good although a multiple of five seems to have been applied to many of the wine retail prices so good bottles start looking outrageously expensive.
