The service was ok, but I just felt it was a lot more personal at the Tower Bridge restaurant.

Excellent steak. They got the order the wrong way with medium rare and medium steak going to wrong person but was no big drama.

What an amazing birthday I had at gauchos! The food was one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life and the staff were just amazing! Unfortunately I can’t remember the name of my waiter but I was so grateful when he brought me over a cheese cake with a candal in it after overhearing it was my birthday. What a wonderful man! I shall be returning very soon

Really good place the meat was amazing, I feel that the menu is not big enough and being Argentinian you should promote Argentinian desserts or food a bit more, I wouldn't complain if you offer me a te mate for example. The service was excellent our waiter cristina was simply on top of everything, quite expensive hence why the place was empty

Gaucho disappointed. The chef had no idea what is seared tuna. They served us extremely overcooked dry piece of tuna with no raw meat inside as it is supposed to be. Medalion steak was ordered medium-well, though it arrived to our table very well done and hard to eat.

Food was good but not great, value was not there given the price and the mediocre service provided. One steak was great and the other was very chewy and no steak knife provided without asking - come on guys, this is standard stuff for a £250 meal for two! On the plus side, the surroundings were beautiful and the wine, stunning!

I had an amazing birthday celebration with my partner. I have been there before but never sat outside. We had a beautiful view of the river and the sun was shinning perfectly. The food came out on time and the service was amazing. Our waitress for the evening was Christina and she took care of us when we were there, she even gave me a cake for my birthday which was on the house. I would 100% recommend this place to all my friends and family.

I and some friends were disappointed with both the service and food. Apart waiting what seemed an age for our main course, two of us had the Seared Tuna which was not seared but cooked all the way through. But having waited for so long we did not complain !! I have used this branch of Goucho on a number of occasions and is the first time I have been disappointed.

I had originally booked a table for four people. This increased to 9. The staff at Gaucho's took it all in their stride and accommodated us very quickly.

The food arrived in good time are ordering and the steaks and side dishes were all cooked to perfection.

Would definitely return.

What is there not to like about Gaucho the food, location and service has always been great and I go at least once a month, what I've always said is the wine and how it's stored needs to be looked into but other than that it's always a great evening.

My wife, daughter and I have been going to Gauchos Canary Wharf for many years and will continue to do so for many years to come. At this time of the year in particular it is lovely to sit outside looking over the River Thames while enjoying high quality, uncomplicated food expertly prepared and cooked.

Disappointing. I regularly dine at Hawksmoore but we were intending to be in Canary Wharf and I had heard that the chains were comparable. They're not. Far from it. The pricing is. £500 for 5 people that included 2 bottles of wine and a couple of ports with dessert but other than that no. Firstly the steak quality is lower. The Rump was £30 and it was mediocre at best. The Marinated lomo at £50 was like a pan fried steak from Tesco. Terrible quality. The Chateaubriand was £87.50 for 750g and it was passable but nothing like the level of Hawkesmoore for example. All in disappointing mains and the softshell crab started was nothing short of a rip-off. 95% salad and literally a piece of crab not much bigger than a teaspoon for £10. Poor preparation, poor quality and passible service (12.5% on the bill) does not make for a happy customer. I'll be sticking to Hawkesmoore from now on. The one good thing about the whole meal was the wines. Very good and I enjoyed those.

Took my boyfriend for his 30th birthday and couldn’t have picked a better restaurant.. we had a table outside under the trees which was perfect for a warm evening.. our waiter (Mat) was brilliant and explained all of the cuts of steak during the meat display and couldn’t have been more helpful.. steak was cooked perfectly and boyfriend said it was the best steak he’d ever had.. all in all an amazing experience if you’re looking for something that bit more special

My husband and I visited the restaurant for a dinner on Saturday and it could have been more perfect. We got the choice to sit down outside and it was really lovely, we had an amazing table under the trees in the sun, watching the riverfront. Food was so delicious and service was amazing. Would recommend to everyone. Thank you so much

Amazing. This is my second visit and the food lived up to the first visit.

The stake were cooked to our individual liking and seasoned perfectly.

The staff couldn’t have been more attentive or professional, they welcomed us back and even told us what wine we had previously and would we like that or to try something different?
Never encountered that before but is a nice personal touch.

We celebrated my brothers birthday and he was treated to complementary chocolate truffles which where divine

The atmosphere was perfect for a Sunday afternoon and the background music didn’t impede conversation at all

Highly recommend

I’m afraid to say that the hard sell from the miserable waitress with the water ,wine and meat etc just took the edge off the occasion and the 139 quid bill for a quick steak and chips ( plus 2 beers and 2 glasses of wine) rather ruined the evening. I’d forgotten how greedy these restaurants are with the extras when they really don’t need to be.
Goodbye Groucho it’s a steak from the local butcher next time and I’ll find a pub for a drink next time I’m in Canary Wharf
